I'm saying that abortion is murder. And Pope St. John Paul II said it, too.

Fine - lol - but that doesn't diminish my point that there's a WHOLE BOOK dealing with things other than murder as well.

All other rights depend on the right to life.

What rights does someone have if they are dead?

Do you make the same argument when someone can't afford health insurance, and dies of diseases that could have been addressed had they had enough money to pay for their medication? Or is it "them's the breaks" - maybe they should've been more industrious and able to then pay for health insurance?

I kinda resent threads like this. The title is an assumption based on something that may or may not be said in a book. There's no way to fact check without buying the book and reading it. Then we all argue "facts" and tangents based on hearsay. I regret the time it took to post my .02 in my posts. Out.

And in the real world - abstinence seems to really be taking hold!
Right is right, regardless of how many are doing wrong. But it works better than any other method.

Once again, ok, so you're arguing abortion is wrong.

My argument, once again, is ok. Then there's the rest of the Bible too and every other example of how people ought live.

That *totality* is what God expects of us.

Hey, I've never murdered anyone. But I'm a thief, an adulterer, I treat my fellow neighbor badly, I covet, etc. But hey - the important thing is that I've never murdered :)
Did you know that if you approve of a sin, and abortion is a sin, you've committed that sin?

I resent that I had to read it in a book at all. OR the countless other things that are in that book, and attributed. Also, there are columns out there that summarize the book and attest to sections of the book. I'd like to believe that the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church is above politics, but apparently not.
As I said, I tend to stick to the faith, because the politics of the Vatican disgusts me.

All that carin' and helpin' Hillary has done in Africa sure helped that continent with their health care. And look at Haiti, how wonderfully that turned out, after Bill rushed down there.

Who has an abortion, has unmarried sexual relations, or who gets "gay married", is of no concern to those in the Church. We should pray for them and try to teach them about Christ, but secular law is secular law, and it's none of our business the sins of those outside of the Church.

Then why remain? I've moved on to the plausible alternative, Orthodoxy.

Their fruits attest to their claim, even if you are unsold on the ECFs

lol what’s your reasoning for voting for Trump if you’re applying that level? That he’s a skunk with no pretensions of being anything more than that - so you know what you’re getting?

MOD HAT ON
This thread is being re-opened.
I remind you of this part of the SOP for OBOB:

"The office the Papacy will always be respected. As far as the person holding the office even when we disagree on matters of Prudential judgement there will be no flaming, name calling, or implications that he is not the Pope."

If this is true, is it a misuse of this fund? Does it constitute an attempt to influence the politics of the United States, as Russia is being accused of?
I still cannot find corroboration to this story. A google search (actually a DuckDuckGo search) comes back to this very thread in Christian Forums as the first result. It should have had SOMETHING else in such a search. I'm concluding that it is likely false. While there may be some crazy stuff going on, this appears not to be one of them. Far more interesting would be the Podesta attempt to negatively influence the Catholic Church. There IS some evidence for that.

Do we all agree that it is not the Church, Comunism or socialism which is presently feeding the world? It is American Capitalism which is, by far, number one, when it comes to feeding the poor in the world.

For Hilary and the Vatican to push Capitalism out of America and replace it with socialism sounds really good. In reality, to do so, will doom the poor in the world to starvation.
