Many of us have had a number of changes in our lives that others may or may not be aware of: marriage, accidents, health issues, grandkids. Okay, that I didn't know about. Ahem. We have things happen every day, big and small, that affect our outlook, our temperment, our health; pretty much anything and everything.

So how about a place where we can put an update on the things that have changed for us, big or small, and where we can later let others know the resolution to those issues.

My quick update: graduated, passed the bar, got a job, left the job, starting own practice with former classmates.

Anyone else want to let us know what's changed or is changing in your life?

Update thread!! I like that!!! You can tell by my new name, my latest news!! My son is now home from Iraq for good! My daughter has a job, but is unhappy, because they make her cover her tattoo on her arm. :doh:I told her look for another job, that doesn't have that specification. Just don't quit this one first!^_^

FJD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 OK, so I got excited.......SO good to see you, brother!!!!

I KNEW somehow that you'd done good.
Got a nice, cute, Christian ladyfriend, yet, too???

LOL~~~

Missed ya, man.

Here's my update:

I got married October 3, 2007, to the man I love most in all the world, who I met on the personals a little over a year ago, trying to find a hubby, for real.
We broke up for 6 months and I almost married someone else, and he came back and said God told him to come back into my life and marry me!!!!
Who am I to question God???
I am so very happy, and he is an even better husband and father and friend to us than I would have believed before.

As I said, BIG changes!

It's great to hear from you all.

I'm really happy to hear that your son is doing well, GB! And know that we're all proud of him for his service.

I remember the trouble your daughter's tats gave her . . the gift that keeps on giving, huh?

BARB! I'm flattered by the greeting . Touched too, that was very sweet. That is really great news and I'm so very glad to hear God brought you the man you love. Looks like you've added a couple little 'uns to your brood too?

And TW, I recall that you missed Wyoming and wanted to go back. That you got to meet your grandchildren and be there for the birth of another must make that return even sweeter.

Anyone else . . . ?

Dude!! I've missed you buddy. Hmmm...now have I had changes since we last talked? ^_^

Got married 2/9/07  met him here on CF. See what he gets for flirting with me ;)

I think you knew about the grandson. Nathan is 15 months old now and gives his Granny kisses.

Meghan has moved out  Ahem...I really miss her ;)

Kristin just survived a bad wreck  and God took care of her.

I retired from the State Police in July  and have gone back to ACE full-time.

David found a job. We see each other in passing a lot but we make the best of when we do see each other.

Congratulations on passing the bar and starting your own firm. If I'm ever in Cali...

Oh, we went on a month vacation after my retirement too. It was wonderful. 22 states and 8400 miles...we saw a lot of cool stuff.

O.K., briefly over here:
My older son got his driving liscence and his first car in August.
His car was stolen and totalled by an underaged joy rider in September. It's now in my front yard, awaiting further decisions on the matter (legal and otherwise).
A week after that my younger son broke a leg while trying to set a new school long jump record. He's now out of the cast and the brace, the titanium pins are holding, and he's working on rebuilding the muscles.
My dog had another round of ear infections.
I became an unofficial godfather (since I am not officially a member of the state Lutheran church here) to my lady-friend's brother's son, born in August.
Our school burned out one of our new rookie teachers already.
I'm leading the middle school "peer mediation" project, and there has been some progress on reducing bullying and tensions between pupils (we think).
Last week's school shooting just north of here has sent shock waves through the area that will take a while to settle.

I guess those are the main things.

She's fine, she went back to work on Thursday. God watched over that girl.

I'm really glad to hear that! God is indeed watching over her! (and her momma too)

Hey JD! Hmmm let's see life has done a 360 on me. I lost a job, found another one and am working on the Candidacy process to become a United Methodist pastor.....God is in the miracle business for sure!

That is great news kelco, I'm really happy that things are looking up for you! Please keep us posted on your candidacy; I know we'll all be praying for you as you move ahead in that process.

Hey, FJD; don't stay away so long this time, please??!!

I just noticed the "4" became a "6" which of course makes sense. No promises, we'll have to see how things go . . . though I did find another forum where I won't be beaten up as much, so maybe that'll help.

Of course, it makes perfect sense, when you count the "children" figures near my username.

And, who beat you up???? Lemme at 'em....Grrrrrr...
