I really liked Vagabond. Its a fictional account of Musashi Miyamoto's life...

Not a traditional graphic novel but.. I liked R. Crumb's illustrated version of the Book of Genesis..

Last graphic novel I read was: My Friend Dahmer. An autobiographical account of an illustrator who went to high school with Jeffrey Dahmer.. was pretty good.

I used to read lots of Japanese manga, but gradually discovered that many of them were bad or immoral, so I stopped.

I usually judged a manga book by its cover, contrary to what people say - don't judge a book by its cover. A manga book cover usually reflects its contents. It's true. A high quality manga usually has a high quality drawing on its cover.
