My tought about the twelve tribes of the sons of israel in Revelation 7.

Surely the saled are the Apostles
Therefore every (christian) tribues... has a number
of sealed that is 12.000 christians like the Apostles.
I think 12.000 is simbolic.........

I think the tribes are like the christian peoples because
the Reign has been given to christian peoples...........
Every christian people, I think, has its merit and can be
represented with the twelve disciples who haven't the same merits also..............................

I think it's ok but.....

No, because if you read what follows there are multitudes from every nation, meaning the gentile church or saints, so the 12 tribes are most definately of Israel.

There are 12 tribes mentioned, Judah is at the top of course.
There were 2 nations, House of Isreal [10 nothern tribes] and house of Judah[2 southern tribes/Levi/corrupt priest/rulers of Jerusalem]
There are also 2 beasts in revelation. The 10 horns on one apostate beast is attacking the other apostate beast with 2 horns. The gentiles trampling on Jerusalem in the first century, bringing both nations under ONE KING, CHRIST.

Revelation 13:1 Then I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads a blasphemous name.
11 Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth, and he had two horns like a lamb and spoke like a dragon.

Isn't it also significant what the gates are made of - what gemstone, because that would match up with the breastplate of the high priest??

I was not sure about my opinion on the 12 tribes
because Matthew 19, 28 says:
Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, in the new world, when the Son of Man will sit on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

The Apostles were jews and Jesus said He was the King of jews.
I think the number 12 is symbolic and represents the 12 apostles
who have Jesus as their King.
Twelve because Thomas represents who believes after having seen etc......
and twelve are the hours of the day.............
Therefore the sealed I think can be all the Christians........

Infact the Disciples who are like the apostles of Jesus Christ can go to Heaven; S.Thomas is an importat example that means also one who believes after having seen goes to Heaven.
