The true doctrine of "FREE WILL"??: Biblical examples??

"Free will" and SALVATION by GRACE through spirit-led FAITH/BELIEF (John 3+Eph.2)

Man's spiritual "Free Will"
...VERSUS...
the spiritual perfect WILL of the TRI-UNE GOD

In Genesis, Man had the "free will" to OBEY...remain in Eden...spiritually walk and talk with his UNSEEN God.
...VERSUS...
do his own thing...follow his selfish and natural tendancy to turn from God...DISOBEY

In the gospels / NT:

1."free will" BEFORE "salvation"...

The spirit of Man can ACCEPT or REJECT the DRAWING/CALLING of God.
...the offer of the gift of undeserved spiritual Grace/Love/Mercy
through spirit-led Faith/Belief.

2. "free will" AFTER "salvation"...

a. guided into spiritual "good works"
...VERSUS...
following the 1. world (chaos) and 2. the old "ways of the flesh" (sin nature) and 3. the temptations/attacks of spirit beings: devil/demons.

b. Be filled with / controlled by / pray and worship / walk in THE SPIRIT
...VERSUS...
grieve / quench / do not follow THE SPIRIT's guidance and comfort.

God gives Man the opportunities to CHOOSE...allowing the spiritual freedom to choose...free to follow the will of God...or not.

The following concepts are difficult to understand and perhaps logically contradictory....BOTH EXIST!...

A. The Sovreignty of an all-everything perfect God, a SPIRIT!
...VERSUS...
B. the spiritual exercise of the "free will" of Man (and angels!) inside God's will

ACCEPT...RECEIVE...BELIEVE...etc...OR...NOT!

John 1: 12-13 (NASB)...Will of Man VS the Will of God ~= "free will"
But as many as RECEIVED Him,(spiritually born again from above)
to them He gave the right to become children of God,
even to those who BELIEVE in His name,
who were BORN,
not of blood
nor of the will of the flesh
nor of the will of man,
but (spiritually BORN) of (the Will of) God.

John 3: 11-12 ...Accept Jesus' "testimony"..OR...NOT~= "free will"
11 Truly, truly, I say to you,
we speak of what we know
and testify of what we have seen,
and you do not ACCEPT our testimony.
12 If I told you earthly things and you do not believe,
how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

John 8 : 31-38 (NASB)...Jesus: FOLLOW...OR...NOT ~= "free will"
...“If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;
and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”...( to follow the will of God)

1 Thessalonians 2:13 ...Accept God's "word"...or...NOT ~= "free will"
For this reason we also constantly thank God
that when you received the "word of God" which you heard from us,
you ACCEPTED it not as the word of men, but for what it really is,
the "word of God", which also performs its work in you who BELIEVE.

1 Corinthians 2:14
But a "natural man" (unsaved) does not ACCEPT the things of the Spirit of God,
for they are foolishness to him;
and he cannot understand them,
because they are spiritually appraised.(discerned)

Hebrews 10: 31;35-36(NASB)...Jesus the Christ ...or... Judgment? ~= "free will"
It is a terrifying thing (for unbelievers) to fall into the hands of the living God....
Therefore, do not throw away your confidence (in a believer's salvation),
which has a great reward. For you have need of endurance,
so that when you have done the WILL of GOD,
you may receive what was promised. (joy!)...John 15!

1 John 2: 15-17(NASB)...John: Do Not Love the World...Love God ~= "free will"
Do not love the world nor the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh and
the lust of the eyes and
the boastful pride of life,
is not from the Father, but is from the world.
The world is passing away, and also its lusts;
but the one who does the WILL of GOD lives forever.

“Where then is boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? Of works? No, ,”
(Romans 3:27)

Either death and condemnation or the “all things are lawful for me” joy flowing from a life in the Spirit.
(Romans 8:2)

Since we have no merit whatsoever, the law of “faith” for “free will” life is either trusted or it isn’t.

That goes for trusting Him to lead us along soundly, to work out our salvation in the fear and love of God as well.

Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart (soul?) And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight.

Ephesians 5:18
And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation,
but be filled with (under the influence of) (God) the (Holy) Spirit,

Trust And Obey...Big Daddy Weave

When we walk with the Lord
In the light of His word
What a glory He sheds on our way
While we do His good will
He abides with us still
And with all who will trust and obey

Trust and obey
For there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus
But to trust and obey

But we never can prove
The delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay
For the favor He shows
For the joy He bestows
Are for them who will trust and obey

Trust and obey
For there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus
But to trust and obey

Lord, I love You
Please help me to trust and obey
Lord, I love You
Please help me to trust and obey

Then in fellowship sweet
We will sit at His feet
Or we'll walk by His side in the way
What He says we will do
Where He sends we will go
Never fear, only trust and obey

Trust and obey
For there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus
But to trust and obey

Trust and obey
For there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus
But to trust and obey

Lord, I love You
Please help me to trust and obey
Lord, I love You
Please help me to trust and obey

Lord, I love You
Please help me to trust and obey

The true doctrine of "FREE WILL"?: Biblical examples?

Jesus told the prostitute to "Go and sin no more."
It was up to her to decide what her sin is.
That's free will.

“Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. Jesus told the prostitute to "Go and sin no more."
It was up to her to decide what sin is.
That's free will.

Because God had given her a new nature. Unless God does a work of grace in the heart, there is no ability to choose that which is God glorifying.

God can never be seen as the author of sin or evil regardless of the truth that all human choices originate in Him. Why?

If man hadn't chosen the knowledge of good and evil in the garden of eden, man could not know that whatever God did was evil or sin.

It was not God's will for man to possess the knowledge of good and evil. Only God can help you to not think in terms of the knowledge of good and evil.

God gave Mankind 2 spiritual gifts from the beginning:
1. "free will" to choose to accept or reject His calling/drawing.
2. "sin nature" - the innate tendancy to turn from God and toward self.

Man SPIRITUALLY CHOOSES whether he want to be a "child of God" (saved believer)...or...NOT.

God spiritually calls/draws/knocks to ALL.
EACH Man's spirit must accept or reject.

Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. So CHOOSE LIFE in order that you may live, you and your descendants,

1 Chronicles 28:9...KING David to wise son Solomon
“As for you, my son Solomon,
know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind;
for the Lord searches all hearts, and understands every intent of the thoughts.
If you seek Him, He will let you find Him; BUT
if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.

John 3:36...John the Baptizer on Jesus: CHOOSE
1. He who believes in the Son has eternal life; (BELIEVER)
but
2.he who does not obey (TO BELIEVE IN!) the Son will not see life,
but the wrath of God abides on him.” (UN-BELIEVER)

John 1
11 He came to that which was His own, but His own did NOT receive Him.
12 Yet to all who DID receive him,
to those who BELIEVED in his name, he gave the right to become "children of God"
— 13 children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but "born of God"

Revelation 3:20...CHOOSE!
Behold, I stand at the door and knock;
if anyone hears My voice and opens the door,
I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.

Matthew 7:26 And every one that heareth these sayings of Mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

Revelation 13:1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

Do not love the world nor the things in the world.
If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world,
the lust of the flesh and
the lust of the eyes and
the boastful pride of life,
is not from the Father, but is from the world.
The world is passing away, and also its lusts;
but the one who does the WILL of GOD lives forever.

When a Calvinist reads 1 Corinthians 2:14 that says,
"But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned."

They also have to read passages like 2 Thessalonians 2:10-11 that says,

10 "And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish;
because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion,
that they should believe a lie:"
(2 Thessalonians 2:10-11).

So we see here that God sends a strong delusion that they should believe a lie to those who have not received the love of the truth that they MIGHT be saved.

The word "might" suggests a possibility.

But in Calvinism, there is no possibilities. God either chooses you to salvation or He doesn't. But that is not what we see in the Scriptures.

God tells Cain very clearly that he could either do good or that he could do bad
(See Genesis 4:7). Note: Sinning or not sinning is a spiritual thing. Why would God try to talk sense into Cain, if Cain was depraved and spiritually dead and chosen by God to be damned?

Faith and Works go hand-in-hand. James 2:22

PARAPHRASE: (saving spirit-led) FAITH WITHOUT (following spirit-led good) WORKS IS DEAD (judged spiritually worthless)

Agreed. This means that we are saved by God's grace + Obedience to the good work God wants to do through us. For no believer can continue to be a murderer, adulterer, thief, etc. and believe on Jesus and still be saved. A changed of life needs to take place. It is an essential mark that they are a true born again believer. Granted, we are not saved by Works Alone Salvationism. There is no command in and of itself that can give life (Galatians 3:21). For if there were, then righteousness would have came by the Law. We are initially and ultimately saved by God's grace without man directed works alone salvationism but good works (from the Lord working in us) is also required because it is the proof that He lives inside of us. Jesus (God) is ultimately the source of our salvation (1 John 5:12). All boasting is in Jesus (including the good work He does in our lives to make us more holy).

B. the spiritual exercise of the "free will" of Man (and angels!)

ACCEPT...RECEIVE...BELIEVE...etc...OR...NOT!

John 1: 12-13 (NASB)...Will of Man VS the Will of God ~= "free will"
But as many as RECEIVED Him,(spiritually born again from above)
to them He gave the right to become children of God,
even to those who BELIEVE in His name,
who were BORN,
not of blood
nor of the will of the flesh
nor of the will of man,
but (spiritually BORN) of (the Will of) God.

John 3: 11-12 ...Accept Jesus' "testimony"..OR...NOT~= "free will"
11 Truly, truly, I say to you,
we speak of what we know
and testify of what we have seen,
and you do not ACCEPT our testimony.
12 If I told you earthly things and you do not believe,
how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

John 8 : 31-38 (NASB)...Jesus: FOLLOW...OR...NOT ~= "free will"
...“If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine;
and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.”...( to follow the will of God)

But a "natural man" (unsaved) does not ACCEPT the things of the Spirit of God,
for they are foolishness to him;
and he cannot understand them,
because they are spiritually appraised.(discerned)

The world is passing away, and also its lusts;
but the one who does the WILL of GOD lives forever.

It is impossible to reconcile, in the human mind,
the two realities of God's view of time and ours.
This results in endless discussions about free will
and God's will.

Do you believe time exists sort of like in time travel movies or novels? Meaning, do you believe God exists in all points in time (the past, present, and future)? If so, then how could God stop from all work on the 7th day from the six day creation? For wouldn't God still be creating everything on the six day creation in some past time line during the time He was supposed to stop on the 7th day?

Hebrews 10:12 says,
"But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;"

So if Jesus offered ONE sacrifice for sins forever or all time, then how can God exist in all points in time? That would mean Jesus (God) would have to keep re-sacrificing Himself over and over and over in some past time line and it would not mean that Jesus (God) would be sacrificing Himself more than once (Which would be contrary to Scripture).

Yes, God has a greater plan for good that we cannot see, but Calvinism teaches Unconditional Election. This means God elects based upon no conditions found within the individual and God just arbitrarily just chooses those He feels should be saved. But that is not the God I see described in the Bible, though. For God is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).

It is impossible for people to reconcile how man experiences time linearly
with God not experiencing time at all. I appreciate your examples
illustrating the dilemma posed.
