What are we gonna do when Jesus Christ Returns And Judges The Homosexual Rainbow Flag, that didn't want to turn from their sin, To Eternal Punishment, Just as He Did In Sodom And Gomorrah?
"Destroyed Them All"!
Luke 17:29-30 Does this reality fit in your eschatology?
This isn't A Dream,Just Hard, Cold, Scriptural "Fact"!
It does with mine. But it seems a bit strange at first, putting it in with the 10 Virgin Parable. I think your answer is the better fit, but i doubt that you would agree with me why. I think the midnight cry comes before the fire falls from the sky.
I only started looking at the 10VP after seeing this thread. It was always like a riddle to figure out, or like a bedtime stoy that a parent would tell a little kid. I don't know what it is yet, but i have a hunch. I think that the Lord has hidden information in these parables.
I think this is related to the Master coming in the third watch of the night parable, "and keep your lamps burning". And there we have a clue on the timing of the Event, which could be very close. The Master is delayed and then a midnight cry and then the door was shut. But what door is it?
I don't think this is judgment day yet, this is before the sheep and the goats.
Is:
"I do not know you",
the same thing as:
"I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity?
I don't think so, the 10Vs are all sheep. Is the slothful servant, still a servant? For sure. The 10Vs are all believers in the Bridegroom, otherwise they wouldn't have been waiting there with the intention of meeting Him.
But they're in a race to cross a line of demarcation in time that will separate those who will be kept during the hour of trial, and those who will be tested. Their finish line hits right when their Master's delay comes to an end on the day that the Son of Man is revealed.
That word "EK" can also mean "during" and not just "from".
"Because thou hast kept the word of my patience,
I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation,
which shall come upon all the world,
to try them that dwell upon the earth.
The 5 Vs who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. "Those who were ready, are like those of us who are told: "they have already passed from death into life. Even prior to the revelation of the sons of God.
These are the ones who will not taste death in the great tribulation, they will stand before the Son of Man and go from this life, immediately into eternal life, bypassing the resurrection. They'll take one step from this life, directly into the wedding feast.
An example of the shut door in Revelation:
"If anyone is to be taken captive,
to captivity he goes;
if anyone is to be slain with the sword,
with the sword must he be slain.
At this point in Revelation's narrative, certain fates of people are already sealed. Probably even a couple years or more before the midnight cry and the fire falls from Heaven. Who knows, maybe from before the foundation of the universe. I don't know, it's too far outside of my pay grade to figure out.
"Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,
and a light unto my path.
"Not by might, nor by power,
but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
But all of this depends also on my understanding of the hour that no man can know. So everything I see has this being just like on the day that lot left out from Sodom, fire and sulfur rained from heaven and destroyed them all—so will it be on the day when the Son of Man is revealed. The Son of Man will first be revealed on a day of wonders in the heavens and on the earth. Blood and fire and columns of smoke. A third of the trees and all the green grass.
"Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
"There shall be those who escape, as the Lord has said, and among the survivors shall be those whom the Lord calls.
"For the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
"Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour.
Peaceful Sabbath.
