In the last one year the sun stings sharply is this caused by the ozone depletion ?

Ten years ago the morning sun bath was warm even until 10 am.
Now it already stings painfully at 8 am.

Do you feel it too ?

We are having a heatwave all around New Zealand right now. 5 days in a row with temperatures 5 degrees centigrade above the normal for this time of year.

I have unconfirmed science-news, that the power of the Sun has decreased over 10 percent.

Yes, I have noticed this but, I think a lot of it in my case is due to the fact that I worked in the sun most of my life, thus my skin has taken some abuse plus the fact that I'm older now. I think old skin tells us that it truly wants no more sun.

Well done by the sun in California.
But, still getting some.
Hard to say no.
On a nice sunny day.
Shorts & tank top.

Yes I have, and I have used the exact same word...sting. I was complaining to my wife about it. "I don't remember it being like this when I was young. I used to play outside. Now I go outside and the sun hurts, it stings as soon as it hits my skin."

What is this? Why does my skin sting when I go outside some days.

It's an unbelievably cool summer here in Australia, see image below which shows weather forecast for this week. Maximum temperature of 21 -23 degree Celsius for 6 consecutive days.

I've noticed when it gets warm in the spring (we're in the middle of cold winter in Canada) I have developed a bit of a rash after being out in the sun. Something that does not normally happen. It goes away after a few days and it appears to take some getting used to being in the sun... ???

Dont forget to always protect your eyes from UV, with hat and sunglass.

Good points. I just had cataract surgery a week ago. Doing 20 bicycle ride today at the beach. Suppose to be in the seventies with full sun. Yes, hat, sunglasses and a little sunscreen.

It's 4AM in the morning right now and my forearms have a very slight burning sensation. YES, the sun has done some damage to the old Mountainman.

Cataract is caused by too much sunshine into the eye lense for many many years.
What did they do with the lens ?

In my family's case sun exposure isn't a cause.

Oldest brother: Some sun exposure, surgery in his mid 40's.
Father: Little sun exposure, surgery in his mid 50's.
Older brother: Some sun exposure, surgery in his early 70's.
Myself: Lot's of sun exposure, no problems yet, will be 78 in April.
