    1) Where does the Soul come from?
    2) Is it an entity unto itself the same way the Body and Spirit are?
    3) Is it implanted into the Body?
    4) When a person dies where does it go if it didn't come from somewhere to begin with?

The soul resides in the spiritual realm. It is created by God at conception and strongly linked or associated with the body.

In my view, there is no difference between soul and spirit, and I believe the Bible supports this view.

Then make your case, otherwise it's just speculation.

what's unique about man is that he was created in God's image - gen 1:27;9:6

there is a spirit in man, but it is not the man - job 32:8. it only imparts intellect to the brain.

    1 Corinthians 2:11(NKJV)
11For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him?...

that quality is that fact that man was created in the physical image of the living God and no other creature He has created has that quality, whether they be terrestrial or celestial in origin! (icor 15:39-40,44,46)

    here it is:

God formed man of the dust of the ground, meaning that man is not created from spirit, but rather the physical elements that make up this earth

and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life - this is the same breath that animals have. i doesn't mean that God gave man a spirit in this verse
speaking of the flood in noah's days, the bible says:

    Genesis 7:20-22(NKJV)
20The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered.
21And all flesh died that moved on the earth: birds and cattle and beasts and every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.
22All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died.

breath of life is not unique to man as the animals use the "breath of life" to live also - as stated by me before, all who had the "breath of life" died, both man and beast!

it does show that man and beast have the same type of existence, so i would think that would be a great place to start!

yet the book of Ecclesiastes is consistent with all teachings about death in the bible! - a fact that cannot be disputed!

in Matthew 10:28 "the body" is something that the person "has" but the "soul" is the person.

"Do not fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul. Rather fear him who is able to destroy BOTH body AND soul in fiery hell"

IF they were the same thing - then killing the body would BE killing the soul and no such thing as "kill the body but not the soul"

Eccl 12 - it returns to God who gave it, at death. (At the first death)

I've been pondering what I might say that wouldn't result in a wall of text, and I'm at a loss.
