What cracks me up is hearing some of them actually proclaiming themselves better losers than we are - never mind the plethora of obvious and choice come-backs to anyone taking pride in being better at losing. It seems to me that Democrats are the OU Sooners of the political world: they're sore winners and also sore losers. Remember the endless parade of "The GOP is dead!" bragging that went on in 2012?
One positive is that we know their ideology is, always has been, and always will be a failure. Socialism sounds good on paper and in the classroom, but it simply cannot work, and never has worked in real life - case in point, the last 6 years of the Obama presidency. Now they're upset that the shoe is on the other foot, never realizing that they've done it to themselves through failed policies and the most corrupt president in history. Americans have voiced that they're tired of big government, high taxes, falling wages and unprotected borders. The Republicans have the opportunity to take leadership and I pray that they don't blow it.
I am not really confident, not until the Establishment Repub. guys faces some serious facts. If these guys think the way they have displayed in the past, we will only move more slowly into the disaster that we were rushing toward before!... What is with those "Global Warming Theorists" in the open discussion threads? Have they not considered the LIES that were proven to have been accepted by the "Consensus Scientists" that accept GW theory? Do they not see the monetary motivation (getting gvt grants) that was behind the lie that perpetuates for over a decade since the warming stopped, and reversed? Can they not see the money motive of politicians who seek to TAX more for something that they will not affect? Don't they see that the worst offenders would hardly be affected by their efforts, and the one place that is doing the most to clean things up will be hurt the worst?
I must assume these have all followed the "built in" motive of destroying the US as we have known it! What think ye?

As a 20-year-veteran of the U.S. Army I can tell you such "displays of affection" are never, ever appropriate. If my wife and I had behaved as badly as those two lesbian officers apparently did, I would have been severely reprimanded if not bounced out on my butt, deservedly so. Yet in this instance it is the intervening officer -- who from descriptions of his actions, was merely trying to warn them of potential writeups of their own -- who gets charged, harassed and threatened with discharge.
Perhaps "impugned" would have been a better choice of word.Who's getting flamed now?

This is utter, complete nonsense. It isn't my army anymore.
That's good. While I was working in the flower beds in the front yard, my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog. During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted to be when she grew up. She said she wanted to be President some day.
Both of her parents, Democratic Party members were standing there, so I asked her, "If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?"
She replied... "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people."
Her parents beamed with pride! "Wow... what a worthy goal!" I said. "But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that!" I told her.
"What do you mean?" she replied.
So I told her, "You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedge, and I'll pay you $50. Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house."
She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"
I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."
Her parents aren't speaking to me anymore.
The dilemma for liberals in New York is that we faced unprecedented government problems which however had come about under the auspices of impeccably liberal governments in New York City and New York State. Not merely liberal, but most often patrician liberal. There had been a great coalescing of progressive forces, and government was truly given a free hand to do all that it could do. And all that it did was go bust. - Daniel Patrick Moynihan (1977)
"I don't want to try to read the tea leaves on election results."
"The resounding message not just of this election, but basically the last several is: Get stuff done."
- Barack Obama on the 2014 mid term election results
