The slime disaster in Turkey's Sea of Marmara is having a significant impact on the ecosystem of the inland sea. "Overall, 60 percent of the species have already disappeared," said hydrobiologist Levent Artuz. "After three decades of intense pollution, the Sea of Marmara is now a dead sea."

The first item mentioned in the article as a cause is high temps, which is not a specifically Turkey issue.

But then it mentions ag runoff. Apparently the freedom to abundantly fertilize is one which Erdogan has not yet constrained.

And dont get me started on the govt using its monopoly on force to compel sewage treatment....
