This is the issue. People without expertise in the field have no way of evaluating this stuff. They might think they have - but most likely because they don't know enough to know what they don't know.3 Angels Messages said:...Again, I cite the math:

Science is determined by real scientists with real degrees in the discipline being considered working in the peer review community.
Every creationist claiming, explicitly or implicitly, a false expertise is far more telling than anything.
The only other serious contender to test claims is big corporation money. In fields like geology that produce predictions that are immediately commercially useful the money goes where the science works. When creationist geology really works BP and BHP will be snapping them up - the fact that they don't shows how empty their work really is.
