I think it is sentimental to move from an observation about depth in loving to an endorsement of gay marriage, which is the move made by Raimond Gaita on Q&A and in other public forums. The reason we have these questions arising is because we have abandoned Christian morality; Western culture has moved away from the Christian Faith which supported it for centuries.

Once religion dies, the culture falls into degeneracy and rapidly disintegrates. It is our misfortune to be living in this period when literally everything that we have believed in and taken for granted as long as most of us over the age of 40 can remember is falling apart.
