The church handwritings of ordinances (written by the church scribes) are against us and they are contrary to us. They divide us into denominations and do not cause peace to live among us as we fight and war among each other using these handwritings of men. We judge others using them.
The handwritings of the church scribes are the “principalities and powers” set up in the “high places” of the churches by fleshly-minded men who do/did not have the Spirit. Many serve them and revere them. Their handwritings do not move from their churches and are reinforced/supported by the words of their preachers so they do not topple over.
They are patterned after the world’s documents (constitutions, etc). They are “images”.
They are “graven images” found inside all church organizations as they seek to “self-govern” themselves like the world’s nations do who do not serve the LORD our God.
The graven images (the handwritings of men) have the same look…the same structure and contain like-sounding language as the world’s governing documents. Just read any in church constitution which are structured like the world’s constitutions.
Colossians 2:14-17 KJV
(14) Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
The “handwriting of ordinances” = the “principalities and powers” set up in the high places of the churches where many subject themselves to serve and worship them instead of God and His government (the kingdom of God).
(15) And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
These church handwritings are being used to judge others who do not keep their particular commandments that were wrested out of the Scriptures and placed in their writtenn documents that they serve and worship. They have become “another god”…another Elohim….another JUDGE.
(16) Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
(17) Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
God has divided unto all nations these principalities and powers (their documents of self-government) to serve and worship. He has allowed them to do these things for now. But we, as His people, are not allowed to make for ourselves documents to self-govern ourselves.
The nations of this world do not serve and worship God in the government of God (the kingdom of God) but instead have written their own rules and laws for them to serve and bow down to . They are “under the heaven”. The governments of this world are “under” the kingdom of Heaven which is the highest, superior government. We are subject only to the highest government…the government of God.
We are not to serve and worship the handwritings of men …their constitutions , statutes, laws…which are highly exalted among men in this earth just as the sun and the moon and the stars are over the earth …they “rule”.
We are not to see the worldly documents of ungodly men and then go and make graven images (church constitutions, statements of faith, church bylaws, statutes, etc) which are patterned after the world’s documents and place them inside our churches where we worship God who is our only Judge. Our God is a jealous God. We must not replace Him with another judge.....a handwriting of man.
A church handwriting (another “judge”…another Elohim…..another “god”) has become a JUDGE for many who serve and worship them. They use the church handwriting to judge others and themselves with.
Only our LORD is our “God”…that is, the LIVING ONE is our JUDGE.
This is why we see the “LORD thy God” mentioned many times together as Yahweh is our only Judge (God, Elohim). He is the Living Spirit and is our only Judge while the documents written by men are not. Our Judge should not be replaced with a church handwriting.
We are not to desire/lust after the world’s handwritings of self-government so that we go and copy their documents (making church handwritings of self-government) and place them inside our churches where we worship God.
We are not to make a “graven image”….a church handwriting patterned after the world’s documents of self-government.
God is our King and it is His government (the kingdom of God….the reign of God) that we are to seek after. A church handwriting should not be our “king” or “judge” or “god” that we prostate ourselves to….serving and worshipping a lifeless document that we use to judge others with.
The LORD our GOD (OUR JUDGE) has allowed the godless nations of this world to self-govern themselves with their worldly documents (constitutions, etc) by which they judge themselves and each other over.
Deuteronomy 4:
(19) And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.
We have been made free from the “elements”…the rudiments…the foundational principles…of Egypt (the world).
Why as living in the world are we then subject to the principles of the “statements of faith” or church constitutions or church bylaws, etc? We have passed over the “sea of reeds”…the sea of reed/pen-written worldly documents of self-governing men. They have no power over us as we serve God and His government which supersedes all of man's.
(20) But the LORD hath taken you, and brought you forth out of the iron furnace, even out of Egypt, to be unto him a people of inheritance, as ye are this day.
If we are dead with Christ from the “rudiments of the world”…the handwritings of the world’s fundamental principles contained in “constitutions” of government, why as though living in the world we subject ourselves to the church handwritings which are patterned after the handwritings of the world in form and language?

The pen of the church scribes is emptiness. The fundamental principles written by man are emptiness. There is not the wisdom of God contained in the church handwritings. The handwriting of the church scribes are not the law of the LORD even though they claim it to be.
Jeremiah 8:8-9 KJV
(8) How do ye say, We are wise, and the law of the LORD is with us? Lo, certainly in vain made he it; the pen of the scribes is in vain.
(9) The wise men are ashamed, they are dismayed and taken: lo, they have rejected the word of the LORD; and what wisdom is in them?
They change the truth of God into the lie and worship and serve the “creature”…their formation/ordinance…more than the Creator. They choose to serve and worship the handwriting of man more than God.
Romans 1:25 KJV
(25) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Matthew 15:9 KJV
(9) But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
We are to eat from the tree of life (Christ) and not of the other “tree” found in this world….the handwriting of ordinances (the knowledge of good and evil) and use it to judge others with. There is the tree of the knowledge of good and evil present in this world contained in the handwriting of ordinances. Let us not eat of that tree by becoming a judge ("you are as gods") using the handwriting of man as a basis for judgement of others. The fruit of that is death.
Again, the sun and moon and stars refers to GOVERNMENT. They “rule”. We are under the government of God …..the kingdom of God…where we serve His commandments.
The “greater light” in the kingdom of God is the greatest commandment and the “lesser light” is the second greatest commandment.
The “stars” are for His statutes. They are for seasons and for days and years….for fruitful seasons in our lives and for long lives upon this earth as we serve God in His kingdom upon this earth.
Genesis 1:14-19 KJV
(14) And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
(15) And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so.
(16) And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also.
(17) And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth,
(18) And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good.

His commandments are for “length of days and long life and peace”. They are for “days and years”….long life.
Man's handwriting of ordinances have the opposite effect upon us. We perish from this earth with the using of them. We do not have peace when we use them.
Proverbs 3:1-2 KJV
(1) My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:
(2) For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee.
See the past example of leaving God’s commandments and statutes and embracing our own commandments and statutes contained in the handwritings of men and placed in their places of worship of God.
We who are living in this world are no longer subject to the world’s documents but instead made subject to God’s kingdom. We are not to “fear other gods”….revering man’s church handwritings of self government which have become another judge...another god. They had "feared other gods"...the revered church handwritings made by men to judge themselves with.

(7) For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,
We are not to walk in the statutes of the nations by making our own and placing them in handwritings and putting them in the high places of the churches. We are not to go after the nations in these things by copying their self-governing documents for ourselves.
(8) And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.
(9) And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.
Every church handwriting of man where they are highly exalted among the denominations are “images”. Men praise their handwritings and serve and worship them instead of God. They burn incense in all the high places as they cherish them and speak highly of the work of their own hands.
(10) And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:
(11) And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger:
(12) For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.
We are instead to keep His commandments and statutes and not those which are contained in the church handwritings of men.
(13) Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.
They did not believe in the LORD their God...their only JUDGE. They sought our their own laws and statutes...another god... to self-govern and judge themselves.
(14) Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.
When we serve the church handwritings of men, we are rejecting His statutes. We go after the nations around us who have their own documents of self-government when we choose to write our own documents and put them inside our churches to serve and worship. We are not to be like the outside nations in this thing.
(15) And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.

The handwritings of men are the principalities and powers that are highly exalted….the “host of heaven”. The church handwritings are a “baal” as many “solemnly and willingly submit” themselves to them instead of the government of our King.
(16) And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.
(17) And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.
