Vile and repulsive, I'll give you - though, if you've ever been to a slaughterhouse, it's certainly nothing new to you. But violent? No one was hurt, as near as I can tell. Except for the pig, obviously, but let's not pretend for a second that the death of a pig is a tragedy in this country.

I will, if anyone shows up. I'm not a vegetarian, though, and I've certainly never claimed to be, so I'm not sure why you'd bring this up. I just got through eating some bacon a while ago, as a matter of fact. I don't have to agree with PETA.

I'm not defending it. I've stated repeatedly that its heinous. I just think you and others are overblowing the act. From what I've read and seen, the protests were largely peaceful, and I don't see how a handful of people acting badly out of the thousands in attendance changes that.

I don’t think anyone here is defending it. We’re just not as outraged by a silly staged image as some others are when there’s much bigger things to worry about at the moment.

That's how they show their tolerance of those who don't believe exactly as they do. They clearly don't tolerate America, and they don't tolerate Christianity. They don't seem to have much respect for animals, businesses, history or peace either.

I think you’re mixing up some groups here. Where have you seen the people that did this talk about love, tolerance, peace, equality, coexistence etc? Do you know specifically who is responsible here or are you generalizing?

I've always heard those messages from the Left--and these "protesters" are extremely Left.

I certainly wouldn't want my children or grandchildren to take part in this kind of behavior. Neither would I want them breaking windows, throwing rocks at police, tearing down statues, defacing buildings with graffiti, etc, etc.

However, I wouldn't mind them participating in lawful, peaceful protests.
