There are no more true Holiness folk in my area. I believe I am going to drive down to Flovilla, GA and catch the camp meeting down there later this week.

Not by denomination. A holiness person is someone who has a deep rooted decency to accompany his Christianity.

I knew a holiness woman who poured gas on herself and lit a match. She was as decent as it gets, very deep rooted......

Let me specify southeastern holiness, and not that of yankee variety.

They must use leaded instead? Just sayin', you lead me to believe Christians are not holy unless they're like you and your comrades.

Please visit the web site and understand the variety. These folks also encourage casual dress in the meetings.

Based on what I know, true holiness is love for God and enemies. I've seen little if any of this in holiness circles.

Again, read and understand the variety and be a little slower to judge what you know nothing about.... http://indianspringscampmeeting.org/

    We Believe…

Scripture: The Bible is the divinely inspired word of God, providing authoritative guidance for every challenge and experience of life.
Salvation: All are under the penalty of sin, but God’s redemptive plan provides salvation for everyone who believes in Jesus Christ.
Sanctification: Sanctification is a second definite work of grace following salvation, which cleanses our hearts from the power of sin, and continues as a process of growing more Christ-like in everyday living.
The Holy Spirit: The Holy Spirit provides the sanctified believer the power to grow more like Christ in his daily walk.

What about the Sermon on the Mount and not resisting evil?

RW Schambach would recommend holiness... And then go on to say in one sermon, "There are a lot of devils in those Holiness churches." So it is important to stress the variety of Holiness taught here, which I believe this gathering is a good type of Holiness. In which this one is more of the 1800's variety of late Methodist Holiness, less the dress code of the times.... History & Heritage

And also has a reasonable dress code....

What Should I Wear? Our activities and worship services are held in open air ‘tabernacles’. So casual, modest attire is appropriate for all services and activities, particularly in and around the Main Tabernacle. Bathing suits should be worn only in the recreational areas.

Suggested for Women: Skirts, summer dresses, slacks; please avoid halter tops, shorts or backless dresses.
Suggested for Men: Slacks, jeans and khakis (suits and ties are not necessary).

Interesting. Their statement of faith sounds sort of similar to:
"Christ's Sanctified Holy Church." They are a Trinitarian Sola Scriptura Church that believes Sanctification is a second work of God that is a part of salvation.

    Christ's Sanctified Holy Church:
(Statement of Faith on the main page of their website):

"Christ's Sanctified Holy Church is an association of churches established primarily on the principle that salvation is accomplished by two separate works of the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. The first work of grace is forgiveness of the sins that we have committed, which requires full repentance toward God. The second work is the baptism of the Holy Ghost, or sanctification, which is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, eradicating the nature of sin."

Christ's Sanctified Holy Church-Holiness unto the Lord

I am looking to visit Christ's Sanctified Holy Church sometime this year (Lord willing) because they believe the same way as I do (according to their statement of faith - with the exception that I do not believe in Eternal Conscious Torment) (Note: I believe in Dualistic Conditional Immortality: This is the view that hell is a real and literal place, but after the judgment, the wicked will be punished for a time in the Lake of Fire, and then they will be erased from existence and be no more).

I think the key difference between the church you mention and mine is that the church you mention is not saying that the second work (Sanctification) is a part of salvation. Christ's Sanctified Holy Church is saying that Sanctification is a part of salvation (of which I agree with). This is why I am excited to visit them. For most churches do not believe this way (unfortunately).

Christ's Sanctified Holy Church is the only relatively large Trinitarian Sola Scriptura Church that has this view on Sanctification. No other church believes that way to my knowledge. Most churches are Sola Fide (or Faith Alone) or they believe in adding some sort of man made traditions into the mix or something (i.e. a denial of Sola Scriptura).

Even churches who hold to Wesleyan holiness (like Methodist, Nazarene, Church of Christ) believe in Sola Fide (or Faith Alone). They do not see "Works of Faith" or "Holiness" as a necessary component or part of salvation. Some of them may be inconsistent with their statement on Sola Fide and say you need works, etc. as a part of salvation. If this is the case, they need to deny Sola Fide (or Belief Alone-ism).

How George Clark Rankin picked up his salvation in North Georgia in the mid-1800's, which is how I picked it up as well.... The Life of George Clark Rankin

I am looking for this type experience in which this camp meeting seems my best bet.
