Peace.

The mystery now made manifest to His saints: Christ in you, the hope of glory….as the life of Jesus within us shall appear also in the outer man (the mortal flesh) in due season.

But we must BELIEVE this as we believe INTO Him appearing in our outer flesh giving us His eternal life in this earth. His life does not stay “hid” but shall be made manifest outwardly.

The nations of this world shall then visibly see His appearing glory in His people and praise God above. We are to be to the praise of His glory as we are the ones to first trust in Christ without seeing this yet. Happy are those who hear and believe in the good news of our salvation for the here-and-now without seeing His appearing life yet in the outer man.

Colossians 1:26-27 KJV
(26) Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:
(27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:

Our life is HID with Christ in God, but when Christ who is our life SHALL APPEAR (which shall appear in our outer man…..our outer mortal flesh), then we shall appear with Him in glory as this dark and dying world shall see what it truly means to do His will as His eternal life is made manifest among His people who first trusted in Him (without seeing Him yet appear in their outer man….the external mortal body).

Colossians 3:3-4 KJV
(3) For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
(4) When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.

Again, His life does not stay “hid” within us as His life is set to appear before all in our outer mortal flesh….in the outer man of our mortal body.

He that sows to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting in this earth…and that life is the eternal life of Jesus that shall appear outwardly.

Galatians 6:8-10 KJV
(8) For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

Let us not be weary in WELL DOING for in due season we shall reap the everlasting life of Jesus in our mortal flesh as His life within us shall appear outwardly visibly to this world.

(9) And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
(10) As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

We are the “light of the world”….a city that is set on a hill that CANNOT BE HID. The life of Jesus (the Light) shall not stay hid within us but shall be revealed for all to see.

Matthew 5:14-16 KJV
(14) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
(15) Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

The Light of the life of Jesus shall shine before men as it cannot stay hid and men of this world will see what it means to do His “good works”. Do not become weary in well doing as we shall reap His everlasting life in due season and men shall see visibly His appearing life and will glorify our Father which is in Heaven. They shall see the visible effects of our "good works" as His life shall appear outwardly.

(16) Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Let us hear and be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of our mind so that we may PROVE to this world (by the appearing eternal life of Jesus in our outer mortal flesh) what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

The world shall see for themselves what it means to DO His will as we shall reap the everlasting life of Jesus in the outer man. They shall see tangible proof that there is a God as the life of Jesus within us appears through us outwardly. Like doubting Thomas, the world will only believe by literally seeing and then will praise God as Thomas did: "my Lord and my God".

Romans 12:1-2 KJV
(1) I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
(2) And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Nations shall run to us because of the LORD our God and for the Holy One (the life of Jesus appearing in our outer mortal man) for He shall glorify us. When the Holy One appears, we appear with Him in glory as it is His life that appears in our mortal flesh giving us His eternal life for this dark and dying world to visibly see. His life does not stay hid within us but is set to appear outwardly…His glorious appearing.

Isaiah 55:5-7 KJV
(5) Behold, thou shalt call a nation that thou knowest not, and nations that knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the LORD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
(6) Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
(7) Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

The whole creation is waiting for the MANIFESTATION of the sons of God.

Romans 8:18-22 KJV
(18) For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
(19) For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
(20) For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
(21) Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
(22) For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.

The flesh which is mortal can not show what is eternal.

But our good works do show, but deeper is where people need how God effects them and has them experience Him in His love (Romans 5:5).

And what helps this? Our example (1 Peter 5:3), including how we are in the sight of God, deeper than humans are spiritually able to see, but then this spreads to effect them deeply. You might consider 1 Peter 3:1-4, about how wives "without a word" are able, with God, to reach and change a disobedient hubby so he become obedient. This comes especially by means of a lady becoming gentle and quiet in God's love, so this can spread to win men who do not obey.

"rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God." (1 Peter 3:4)

This beauty of God's gentle and quiet love is "incorruptible". But a mortal body is corruptible and therefore cannot manifest the incorruptible beauty of God's love.

However > when God resurrects our mortal bodies, then is when our bodies will no longer be of mortal nature and they will then manifest God's own glory which physical corruptible flesh is unable to perceive.

Our mortal bodies most certainly can manifest the light of Christ. Moses was shining when he came from the mount of God and what is this that Christ spoke?

If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.” ~Luke 11:36

Plainly Yahshua tells us here that it is because of sin that we are clouded and do not show our real nature. And that real nature is in our mortal bodies. Our mortal bodies would shine like the sun if we were perfect.

Good post....I love Colossians!

Paul actually tell us what the great mystery of God is in Revelation 10.

Colossians 1:27

to whom God did will to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations --
which is Christ in ye, the hope of the glory,

Colossians 2:2
that their hearts may be comforted, being united in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of the understanding,
to the full knowledge of the mystery God and Father [and] of the Christ,

BEHOLD!

Revelation 10:7

but in the days of the voice of the seventh Messenger, when He may be about to be trumpeting, also the mystery of God may be finished,
as He did evangelize to His own Servants, and the Prophets.

You have made yourself perfectly clear, Kevin . . . but . . . after considering what you have shared >

Yes, the body of Moses, for one example, was shining. But was it in a mortal state during that time?

9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. 10 And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, 11 who also said, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven.” (Acts 1)

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (Acts 2)

Since the kingdom of God is the community of believers sharing all, see here for more details: https://www.christianforums.com/threads/taking-luke-14-33-literally.8061693/#post-72605550 and it was predicted to come soon I see a parallel in the previous verses in Acts. Also see:
27“For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and WILL THEN REPAY EVERY MAN ACCORDING TO HIS DEEDS.
28“Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the Son of Man coming in His kingdom.” (Matt 16 NASB)

38“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will also be ashamed of him when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.”
1And Jesus was saying to them, “Truly I say to you, there are some of those who are standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God after it has come with power.” (Mark 8 NASB)

26“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27“But I say to you truthfully, there are some of those standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.” (Luke 9 NASB)

Also consider: John 16:7 and the fact that Christ promised to be with them always: Matthew 28:20
Also observe these parallels of maybe a disciple who was waiting for a Church like that in Acts: ”Joseph of Arimathea, an honourable counsellor, who also himself was waiting G4327 for the reign of God, came, boldly entered in unto Pilate, and asked the body of Jesus.” (Mark 15:43) (Parallel in Luke 23:51) ”And lo, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name [is] Simeon, and this man is righteous and devout, looking for the comforting G3874 of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him,” (Luke 2:25) Acts 9:31 uses the same word G3874 to describe the work of the holy spirit after Christ. ”Then, indeed, the assemblies throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria, had peace, being built up, and, going on in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort G3874 of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied.” (Acts 9:31)

Colosians e has Pauls signature expreassion, 'in Christ', at the top of the top of the page as Paul turns to the doctrine of holiness, putting to death the idoatrous earthly nature and putting on the new nature, like robes of righteousness.

The expression 'in Christ' or it's equivolant is used 35 x in the first 3 chapters of Ephesians, Colosse was actually one of their daughter churches.

I think it was transformed into an immortal state, like how our bodies will put on immortality, but then it was returned to its earthly state.
Great, is that what you think? That's amazing. You know what? I'm sure you think a lot of things to prove your own belief. Except scripture states as I already showed that our natural bodies can and will most certainly shine. It is a natural feature of this creation. For you to make things up out of your own mind just to prove what you believe does not come out of meekness but is as the sin of presumption.

I'm calm friend. The words I spoke are the truth. We all must be

Be not rash with your mouth, nor let your heart be hasty to utter a word before God, for God is in heaven and you are on earth. Therefore let your words be few. ~Ecclesiastes 5:2

I wish there were instructions about this! If only each man spoke as the Spirit gave utterance and it was made clear who was seeking the glory of God.

Yes. God bless you :)

our natural bodies can and will most certainly shine.
But what I'm considering about this is that while our natural bodies are in a shining state, they are not the way they are while in a non shining state. So, their nature is not the same, when in one state and the other.

...trust me, their is no doctrinal requirement anywhere in scripture for you to require this. When you can't just take the scriptures plainly, without making any choice then we make mistakes. And this is a mistake. The body is in its natural state just like Moses was.

Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything more than this comes from evil.
~Matthew 5:37

If God wants us to speak as plainly as this, how plain do you think the word of God must be? It is perfectly plain but you are adding your own self onto it.

Dear brothers,

Peace to all of you. Thanks for reading.

We can disagree with one another but let us follow peace with one another….without which no man shall SEE the Lord. It is absolutely a requirement among us to follow peace with one another.

Hebrews 12:
(14) Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
(15) Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

Whether we agree or not with one another, let our “yes be yes” or our “no be no” (either in agreement or disagreement) and not add any more to it…speaking evil of one another in addition to our disagreement.

Matthew 5:37 KJV
(37) But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brother to dwell together in unity.....

Psalms 133:1-3 KJV
(1) A Song of degrees of David. Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
(2) It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

…..for there the LORD commanded “the blessing”: LIFE FOREVERMORE….the life of Jesus.

(3) As the dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore.

We are CALLED so that we should inherit the “blessing”: LIFE FOREVERMORE….so we MUST be courteous to one another no matter what. Let us seek peace and ensue it.

1 Peter 3:8-12 KJV
(8) Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous:
(9) Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
(10) For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:
(11) Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it.
(12) For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.

He makes known unto us the mystery of His will….. so let us hear.

Ephesians 1:9-14 KJV
(9) Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
(10) That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

We have obtained an inheritance (in that gathering of all things in Him) that we should be to the PRAISE OF HIS GLORY (His appearing visible glory in our mortal flesh) as we hear and believe in the Word of Truth, the good news of our salvation (which is NOW) . We are to trust in what He says.

The world shall literally see what it means to DO His will as the life of Jesus will be made manifest (shine) in our mortal flesh and will praise the Father in Heaven above. This is the goal…for all nations to praise Him above when they see Him appear in us.

(11) In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
(12) That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
(13) In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promis
e,

We are sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise….the promise of His eternal life made manifest in the redeemed “purchased possession” (our mortal body) unto the praise of His glory as the world shall see His revealed life in us and praise Him. We are to be to the praise of His glory as we are the initial visible source (the appearing life of Jesus in us) of their praise of God above.

(14) Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.

Our mortal body is not our own….as it is the “purchased possession” to be redeemed.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV
(19) What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
(20) For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

There is nothing too hard for the God of all flesh.

“Baruch” means “blessed or PRAISE”. The following has special relevance to us today.

Jeremiah 32:13-15 KJV
(13) And I charged Baruch before them, saying,

The “purchase” is our mortal body….and we are SEALED with the Holy Spirit of promise....the promise of His appearing eternal life in this mortal body…this EARTHEN vessel. The evidence is sealed within us….but the evidence which is “OPEN” is the appearing life of Jesus in this earthen vessel.

The open evidence is so that we may “CONTINUE or stand many days”….aka “eternal life” of Jesus who was dead and IS RISEN NOW (resurrected NOW). He is alive now and so we are to be made alive now in this earth and be the “open evidence”….the revealed evidence that Jesus is indeed alive as we are to be His many infallible proofs to this world which shall see and praise God above.

(14) Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Take these evidences, this evidence of the purchase, both which is sealed, and this evidence which is open; and put them in an earthen vessel, that they may continue many days.
(15) For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Houses and fields and vineyards shall be possessed again in this land.

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 KJV
(2) Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
(3) Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

But we must deaden the deeds (sins) of this mortal body with the Holy Spirit of promise so that the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead shall also QUICKEN (make alive) our MORTAL BODIES by His Spirit that dwells in us….that we are sealed with.

If we do not deaden the deeds (sin) by always sowing to the Spirit, then we shall die from this earth as this earthen vessel is already dead because of sin.

Romans 8:10-11 KJV
(10) And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
(11) But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in
you.

Even though we may have His Spirit dwelling in us, if we continue to live after the flesh (envy, strife, hatred of one another, etc), we shall die from this earth without the appearance of the life of Jesus in our mortal flesh which would have kept us standing in this earth.

BUT, if we THROUGH the Spirit do “mortify” (kill) the deeds of the body, we shall LIVE…..and that life is the eternal life of Jesus which shall be revealed through us.

Romans 8:12-14 KJV
(12) Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
(13) For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
(14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

We must use the sword of the Spirit to kill the deeds of the body so that we may have access to the way that leads to the life of Jesus…His eternal life in this earth. Without doing so, we shall not enter into eternal life now.

Genesis 3:24 KJV
(24) So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Let us hear and believe His words for they are spirit and life to those who can receive His testimony. Let us not be “ashamed” of what we hear as He has abolished (rendered idle) death for us in the here and now and has brought life and immortality (undecaying of the body) to light through the good news.

2 Timothy 1:8-12 KJV
(8) Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
(9) Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
(10) But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
(11) Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
(12) For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.

For those who can receive Him, He gives us His power to BECOME….to come into being…the sons of God.

John 1:11-14 KJV
(11) He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
(12) But as many as received him, to them gave the power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
(13) Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

By doing His Word, the Word is made flesh and dwells among us and others shall see His glory.

(14) And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The world passes away.....but he that does the will of God ABIDES forever.

1 John 2:17 KJV
(17) And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Flesh and blood worldly men do not have His Spirit and cannot please God...and pass away form this earth.

Flesh-and-blood acting men (acting as mere earthly men in their envy and strife of one another) also CANNOT inherit the kingdom of God (which is EVERLASTING and not a dying one). We are as carnal men behaving as flesh-and-blood only men who do not have the Spirit of Christ within them when we fight with one another.

1 Corinthians 15:50-55 KJV
(50) Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Let us awake from our sleep and be changed…putting on Christ.

(51) Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

Let us hear the Spirit of Truth…the “trumpet” speaking to us and awake out of our “sleep” and put on Christ….who is incorruptible. Let us cast off the works of darkness and be found awaking to His righteousness at the hearing of His voice in the Spirit of Truth. We must put on Christ who is incorruptible and immortal.

(52) In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
(53) For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

When we are found of Him putting on His righteous life, then death is swallowed up in victory as His appearing eternal, incorruptible, immortal life gives us the victory.

(54) So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
(55) O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?

Let us keep the “daily” sacrifice….ALWAYS bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus…. so that the life also of Jesus might be made MANIFEST (to render apparent…to shine) in our body….in our mortal flesh.

2 Corinthians 4:10-11 KJV
(10) Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.
(11) For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus' sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.

We are to die to sin daily so that His life shall be made manifest (shine) in our outer man…our mortal flesh.

If we are planted together in the likeness of His death (keeping the daily sacrifice…dying to sin daily), then we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection (HE DOES NOT DIE NO MORE as death has no more dominion over Him). As He lives, we live in this earth.

Romans 6:5-12 KJV
(5) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
(6) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
(7) For he that is dead is freed from sin.
(8) Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:

(9) Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
(10) For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.

Let us reckon ourselves to be dead unto sin but ALIVE unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

(11) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
(12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Jesus IS ALIVE forevermore. He WAS dead but is alive now and so we must also reckon ourselves ALIVE NOW in Him in this earth. “I AM” …He exists…He lives. When men preach that we have to “die and go to Heaven” , they are essentially denying this Truth. MANY are preaching their covenant with death and their agreement with the grave to many when Jesus IS ALIVE now.

Revelation 1:18 KJV
(18) I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Many follow in the footsteps of Judas and are casting the “I AM” existence of Jesus to the ground in their betrayal of His appearing life in those that they are deceiving even though Jesus IS RISEN.

John 18:4-6 KJV
(4) Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye?

There is no “he” in the Greek. Jesus says “I AM”.

(5) They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them.
(6) As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

They come to take the keeping of the “daily” sacrifice out of the lives of many…..and so the place of His sanctuary (the mortal body….the temple of the Holy Spirit) is cast down. The "host" are those who are following in the footsteps of Judas as they come to take Jesus out of the lives of many so that His life is never made manifest in the mortal flesh.

Daniel 8:11-12 KJV
(11) Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.
(12)
And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.
