I'm seeing desperation lately. God has to wait for man to act. Non-Jews in the OT were preached to in the same way Paul was. Omniscience is the answer to any bind. Just crazy stuff.

When all else fails, just toss out some words.

Don't actually demonstrate how those words explain away the argument. Just toss them out.

You can also quote a bunch of verses and assume the meaning.

Rebirth, of course, is the power of God, therefore there's nothing man can do to add to it; but man must choose to receive it! God doesn't choose who receives it, that would be a "respecter of persons" (Acts 10:34; Mat 22:16; Luk 20:21; Rom 2:11; Gal 2:6; Eph 6:9; Col 3:25; 1Pe 1:17). Though one must choose, only He knows who will and will not receive it!

That’s not monergism.

I'm sorry . . . but you must be looking for the Synergism Safehouse.

It's all about choice or there couldn't be accountability (Dew 30:19). Ever since the issue of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil man has choice; and the entirety of Scripture urges, solicits and entreats man to choose God's way!

God bless!

If man had part in the grace of regeneration or rebirth, then it would be synergism, but he doesn't; that's all God (monergism)! Our being recipients is not having part in salvation (other than receiving it), for only Christ justifies!
