Sunday morning: Divine Liturgy for the Entry into Jerusalem

pause
Friday afternoon: Vespers of Crucifixion

Sounds great! I'm feeling run down, all of a sudden, today, so I've had to slow down and took a nap this afternoon. Not feeling much energy for tonight's Compline and canon to Lazarus (I think that's what it's called). Ugh. Was planning on going, but not sure now.

For Holy Week, the boys and I plan to be at (hubby goes in separate car and goes to all the services):

DL for Lazarus Saturday morning (after that service is when the women and children make the palm branches for Palm Sunday - form them into crosses)

Palm Sunday DL

Holy Monday evening Bridegroom service

maybe Holy Tuesday evening Bridegroom service

Wednesday evening DL Holy Unction

Holy Thursday evening DL - Crucifixion service

Holy Friday afternoon - taking down of cross and evening DL Lamentations

Holy Saturday morning DL

not sure if I'll make midnight vigil this year because somebody has to stay home with Christopher if his brother decides he wants to go.

 Better than what I plan.

I hope I don't ruin your thread, but, we make crowns of the branches, and decorate them with flowers. Like this:

It would be nice to have us all together making both, crosses and crowns.

That's cool that you make the crosses with the palms. We don't do that. We actually have a mix of palm branches and [bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse][bless and do not curse] willows (no palms in Russia :) ).

And I forgot about Holy Unction. We have that also.

Yes! and I like the crowns! We've never made those before. How beautiful!

Oh, and we did make the Compline tonight, thank God. I felt a bit better after having some vegetable soup for dinner before going to church. :)
