We live in a world full of pollution. People are wasteful of precious resources such as water and land. We destroy beautiful woods and forests in order to build shopping centers and other industries, killing many animals and plants that may be endangered, and the pollution that comes from the industry pollutes God's Earth.
I may sound like an old fashioned 'hippy,' but this needs to change. Pollution needs to stop, and the inhabitants of Earth have the power to stop it!
The Lovers of the Earth is a club in which the members try to help the Earth. Recycling used materials, not wasting water, picking up trash, anything to help our physical home. The members can share their eco tips with one another, hoping that they can give more knowledge on how to conserve the Earth.
You may ask yourself, "What's the point? Jesus is coming back soon, anyway." Well, don't you want him to see that some people at least care for what our Father has given us? And think of the next generation. Do you really want our children to grow up in a world of pollution and garbage with so much smog that the sky isn't visible and they can't get vitamins from the sun? Sludge so terrible that lakes, oceans, and rivers are as thick as chocolate pudding? Where the rain is acidic to the point that it kills plants?
All of this pollution seems so far away, but without people trying to put a stop to it, it could be closer than anyone thinks. Remember: If two people agree on something and set out to accomplish a goal, it will be accomplished. What about a whole group of people? The Lovers of the Earth! We can make a difference if we try. So if you want to help the enviornment, join this club and let's make a difference, even if it is just a small one!
