Funny this.
Funny that he "traveled the country facilitating rape and assault prevention lectures, seminars, and workshops for women of all ages", and now he doesn't seem concerned about the very women he's trying to help.
He's more worried about the bravado of men than hte safety of women. Period. Sure, it's his choice.

That's not at all what he said and you know it. The fact that he works to help women avoid being a victim of an assault doesn't negate his realization that there are false charges that are harming men and young boys. To even say that he's not concerned about the safety of women is absurd! Pitting women against men is terrible problem and needs to stop. This man can be concerned about both the safety of women and also the very real issue of false allegations that are harming men and society. I applaud his honesty and objectivity.

Feminism as a whole is bad because one lady couldn't prove her case?

Please. Keep this going. I'd love to see the female turn out for republicans in the coming election.

Again, that's not what he said. Go back and read his actual words vs. the one's you inserted. Btw, a lot of those females you feel so sure are voting against republicans because of this? Many of them are mothers, wives, sisters, etc. who fear for the men in their lives. Falsely accusing males of sexual assault is becoming a sport for some women intent on destroying the life of a male for various reasons including retaliation or political purposes.

When's the last time your professional dedications were undermined by one single event? If the whole purpose of your job aligns with one philosophy and one single event occurs that undermines it, I would question how dedicated you really were to begin with.

I don't understand why that would be funny. I mean, if Rand Paul suddenly became a socialist, that would be shocking and worthy of some serious consideration, But that didn't happen to Paul.

And I'm incredulous that it happenned to that guy.

Right...I mean, without some evidence, why would you just believe his story?

If only there was like...a group of professional investigators who could "investigate" it and see if it has any validity.

We're doubting his dedication to feminism because this seems like an odd thing to make one just give up on the whole movement.

Indeed...but you gotta give him credit for coming forward so soon. I mean, imagine if he waited 30 years to tell this tale? Who would believe him then?

Aren’t we mostly just asking who the writer actually is, given that none of us had ever heard of them, and they don’t seem to actually be anyone in any way noteworthy?

Right? It's like he showed up out of the blue to just push some political agenda....

Just seems incredulous. Like, counter to common sense.
It's not a court of law, I don't need evidence if it doesn't make sense to begin with.

Your argument puts women against men. It puts a miniscule percentage of men against a large though minority experience of women.

Do you applaud the objectivity of flat earthers?

You either fail to comprehend or are deliberately ignoring what is being said. No one is claiming "his yearbook statements are evidence that he raped Ford", what they are saying is that he clearly and deliberately lied, under oath, about the meanings of things written in his yearbook. Boofing, Renate Alumnus, and Devil's Triangle among the most 3 notable. Lying under oath is perjury. It has little bearing on whether or not he sexually assaulted Ford, but it has plenty of bearing as to whether he's fit to sit as a Supreme Court Justice.

I'm not doing either of that.

I don't care what your problem is. Here is what I care about.....

Did Kavanaugh rape a woman?

"But but but beer! And 'boofing'!!!"

I don't care about that. I do not care about that. Do you understand me? I don't give a crap what you care about. Not my problem. That's your issue.

What I want to know is Did Kavanaugh rape a woman?

That's the question I care about. If he raped someone, which was the original claim, then provide that evidence. If he did, then I support us impeaching him, and removing him from the Supreme Court. I do not want a rapist serving in our government. You know, like Bill Clinton.

I understand what you are saying, and I think that's a bunch of crap.

The claim was... he raped someone. That was the claim. Did he, or did he not, rape someone? Did he pin a girl to a bed, and put his hand over her mouth?

That is the question. All your other junk, about beer and boofing, is a bunch of 'grasping at straws' nonsense.

YES.... OR NO.... do you have evidence that Kavanaugh sexually assaulted someone? YES or NO.

If yes, provide the proof.
If no.... then that is it.... game is over... you lose.

"It has little bearing on whether or not he sexually assaulted Ford,"

Correct. Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice day. I don't care what else you have to say on this topic.

Apparently you don't read the thread before commenting.

Let's recap, shall we? This was my first comment in this thread on the substance of the allegations against Kavanaugh:

Later, I said:

That's it. I never said Kavanaugh was guilty. I never said that there was proof that he was guilty. I was talking about possible avenues of investigations and how Republicans just glossed over them.

But hey, if you want to keep misconstruing what I said, I can continue pointing out how you're wrong.

I was not aware that it was the job of Republicans to do anything.
If Ford had real evidence pertaining to her claim, then she should have provided that evidence.

She didn't. The FBI did interview people, as they said they would, and no one could collaborate her story. Without evidence, and without anyone to support the claim.... what is there to investigate?

It would be like me claiming to the entire forum, that you accused me of being a Nazi 20 years ago on this forum. Now I can't provide evidence of this post where you accused me, nor can I find anyone who remembers it... and on top of that, I refuse to go to moderators myself and file a complaint.... no I'm just going to smear you in public, without ever getting into the legal process.

The only difference between that, and this situation is that smearing Kavanaugh could ruin his entire life, not just a nameless internet forum reputation. In short, the standards for attacking someone with rape accusations should be much higher than me saying you called me a Nazi in an internet post.

And the bottom line, no one provided any real proof of anything against Kavanaugh. That's all there is to it.

Your response in a nutshell:

Did Kavanaugh lie under oath? Yes. I don't care about that.

And yes, you are clearly deliberately ignoring what is being said. Kudos for being honest with your disinterest in Kavanaugh's honesty and integrity.

It’s the senate’s job. Right now, Republicans run the senate.

Now you know.

what is there to investigate?

I’ve already answered that question elsewhere. Why are you asking it again?

Because in your mind, he should cling to a logically inconsistent ideology no matter how far from reality it's claims are?

Ah So in your mind women taking steps to not get raped or assaulted is logically inconsistent. And the statistics that back up the frequency of these assaults are what? Lies? Propaganda? Irrelevant?

I dismiss logically inconsistent claims and stupid claims. The presences of evidence is irrelevant in this case.

For example, I don't feel any need to dismiss claims of flat earth.

Automatically believing claims of rape by women, against men, is inconsistent with the idea of equal rights (what feminism used to be).

Does that make sense? Do you agree?

And the statistics that back up the frequency of these assaults are what? Lies? Propaganda? Irrelevant?

I'd say deliberately misleading.

Says the guy who can't post even a single link to back up their claims.

Ahhhh wanting to play games, ok then where is the irrefutable proof that the opinion article you posted is 100% accurate?

(This should be good)...
