The Ideal Friend

-you really feel their concern
-they don't overstay their welcome
-when they disagree, they don't need to ridicule your stance
-they don't act like their "Christian" walk is superior to yours
-you never feel patronised
-they would never gossip about you behind your back
-they are loyal
-they accept your idiosyncrasies
-they laugh at most of your jokes

Which all goes to show that I am not the ideal friend for someone else.

see I expect too much. And I cant deliver what I expect so that makes me a kind of Pharisee friend. A hypocrite.

Well, in my entire life, I have never met anyone who met all of that criteria. Some have met some, but not all. Humans are flawed, everyone has some sort of baggage.

Humans are flawed, everyone has some sort of baggage.

The worst flaws in my opinion are the ones who have little patience and complain about 'putting up with the burden of others'. They think everyone is a fool except them.

Well, I don't know if anyone can be that good a friend or not. I'm just going to de-rail the thread by posting this google link of paintings done by monks of knights killing garden pests. There are too many to post. I guess the monks relied on their gardens to eat. They are nice like ancient memes.

Jesus doesn't laugh at many of my jokes and sometimes He says things like 'Have some dignity!' and 'Chill out!' so maybe your criteria really are a bit on the optimistic side.
