Generically it is all labelled pop.
That is the only correct way of addressing it as soda = soda water. Whilst carbonated it is quite different and slightly disappointing if you were expecting the standard pop.
Also coke ... that'll get you some sort of brown, sugary, fizzy thing. Or offers of another kind.

In the South, for some insane reason, all pop is called "coke". So when I first moved from Michigan to Louisiana I had a fascinating conversation that went like this:

Southern person "Do you want something to drink? We have a vending machine"

Me "That would be awesome. I'd like a coke"

Southern person "Ok, what kind?"

Me "Ummm, just a regular coke"

Souther person "ok but what kind of coke?

Me "Just a plain coke, not diet or anything"

Southern person "BUT WHAT KIND OF COKE DO YOU WANT!!!!!"

Me "ARGGGHHHHH!!!!"

I've always just called it soda-pop. I even found a small diner that still has a couple of soda jerks! (They are quite polite, they are called Jerks b/c they "jerk" the handle on the soda fountain after adding syrup!) ;)
