This is a classic, and typically used whenever you disagree with someone on scripture...

Generally in the form of:
  1. Scripture is the word of God
  2. My interpretation of scripture is infallible
  3. Therefore, disagreeing with my position, is disagreeing with God
Common usage:
Steve: "I don't know if I agree with that interpretation of scripture..."
Bob: "Why do you disagree with what God says?"

You're now instantly wrong and must agree to their interpretation of scripture.

Haha. Way more about my frustrations on this forum within a single day. :D
Well, I thought that you were referring to how Trump followers claim that it is God who placed him in office.
Trumpians playing the God card. The God was responsible for his election Trump card. But yes, you are correct. Many persons who cite scripture believe that they have proven absolutely that their opinion is the right one. Unfortunately scriptures can be misunderstood and are often misunderstood and misinterpreted. Sometimes the misinterpretation is based on not taking context into consideration. I once heard a sister in the faith say that in God's New World there would be no more oceans. That was based on the statement in Revelation that there will be no more sea.

Revelation 21:1
King James Version
21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.

However, the Bible itself provides the key to understanding much of Revelation's symbology by providing meanings in other parts. The sea she was quoting was actually the sea of wicked mankind.

Isaiah 57:20
But the wicked are like the storm-tossed sea, for it cannot
be still, and its waters churn up mire and muck.

Jude 1:13
Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

But taken at face value out of biblical context it was misunderstood. and put forth as indisputable truth.

Yes, that is bad, but it isn't as ornery as the "Trump says...!" Trump card. o_O
