Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.

I can't help but feel that you're not exactly living by your own ideology (which is not a Biblical one).

Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor, doing honest work with his own hands, so that he may have something to share with anyone in need. (Ephesians 4:28)

1 Again I looked and saw all the oppression that was taking place under the sun:

I saw the tears of the oppressed—
    and they have no comforter;
power was on the side of their oppressors—
    and they have no comforter.
2 And I declared that the dead,
    who had already died,
    are happier than the living,
    who are still alive.
    3 But better than both
is the one who has never been born,
who has not seen the evil
that is done under the sun.

4 And I saw that all toil and all achievement spring from one person’s envy of another. This too is meaningless, a chasing after the wind.

    5 Fools fold their hands
    and ruin themselves.
6 Better one handful with tranquillity
    than two handfuls with toil
    and chasing after the wind.

7 Again I saw something meaningless under the sun:

    8 There was a man all alone;
he had neither son nor brother.
There was no end to his toil,
yet his eyes were not content with his wealth.
“For whom am I toiling,” he asked,
“and why am I depriving myself of enjoyment?”
    This too is meaningless—
    a miserable business!

9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their labor:
10 If either of them falls down,
one can help the other up.
    But pity anyone who falls
and has no one to help them up.
11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
12 Though one may be overpowered,
    two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

15 In this meaningless life of mine I have seen both of these:
the righteous perishing in their righteousness,
and the wicked living long in their wickedness.
    16 Do not be overrighteous,
    neither be overwise—
    why destroy yourself?
    17 Do not be overwicked,
and do not be a fool—
    why die before your time?
18 It is good to grasp the one
and not let go of the other.
Whoever fears God will avoid all extremes.

    ~ Ecclesiastes 7:15-18

So really what you are saying is the looters are right, you agree with them. Let me just say this once, if that's the case after close self examination, You're As Nuts As They Are.

With that out of the way, you're right on certain counts, but that too is The Lord's business. If He wants destruction He will bring it, it's not up to a bunch of political wackos to drive and supply looting and stir up people who from what I've seen in news footage are so easy to stir to begin with. Make no mistake about it, there is a big machine behind this. Leaders and politicians in those cities are just stepping back, it's a plan. It's coordinated, it's nation wide in left wing hot spots, and it's more than obvious. And I suspect that you are smart enough to know that.

Finally you missed a few scriptures, you better go back and read a little closer in Exodus, in Nehemiah, in Luke . Between them it says to protect your family. It says take up your swords though depending on the Lord, even that He supplies. And it says let He who has no sword to sell his cloak and go buy one. It says if someone breaks in by night and loses his life that there is no guilt on that bloodshed. So go read a little closer, The problem with these rioters is they meet no resistance and they have a huge anti America political movement on their side..

Christians grieve over the sin that can send people to hell, for thieves will not inherit the Kingdom. This drives us to pray for changed hearts. Even though the Apostle Paul called himself the “chief of sinners”, his heart was changed to the point that sin that separates people from God could vex him. This discernment also keeps believers from being insensitive to the real plight of humanity: their sin (ours too) murdered the Lord of Glory, and He carried our transgressions on the Cross. The Innocent One who could not breathe for the pain and suffering of his death, when in His resurrected state, commissioned the Church to peach the Gospel. This message comes with a caring warning: repent. We do not give this warning rabidly. We use tact, compassion—maybe actions and not words at times. Yet our concern, corporately, is a brake on the world’s headlong plunge into darkness.

The looting is awful for many reasons.

    1. It hurts others who are trying to support their families, especially as so many are just opening back up after COVID restrictions
    2. It distracts people from the cause and makes people not feel the same level of impact that the protest otherwise may make
    3. It’s against God’s laws. (Remember that this was the case even when Jesus and the Church were in Rome, which also was built on slavery.)
    4. It excuses the behavior for others in the future.

Note that it also is wrong to be riled up against looting and to not feel that about what happened to George Floyd - or any other act of violence, egregious misuse of power or hate. It was horrible to see what happened. Sadly, the looting and rioting has changed the narrative to be distracted from the original cause.

History is history, today is what counts for the living and how you treat others. Rioting and looting is bad ju ju.

So your argument is because there came a time where wealth was used for ungodly things that means one should almost be ashamed have anything of it? You need to go back to the original source of wealth....GOD.

And the gold of that land is good: Gen2:12

Was that a selfish evil statement to say that?

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just. Prov 13:22

Many may understand this verse to mean different things but you can't get around the fact that just because ones were ungodly in once possessing wealth that doesn't mean the just have to feel guilty or ashamed to have had it transferred to them.

What are you talking about? I used to work in the prison system and this so called "slave labor" you speak of is a highly sought after privilege. In many cases there is on the job training and an hourly pay so the prisoner will have a marketable skill and money to get their new lives started.

Jesus Christ said that we must love one another. Looting is not a sign of loving each other.

Because peoples’ possessions are being destroyed and their hard earned money is being stolen, most of which I assume goes to support their families.

Someone has every right to be angry about that.

    Give me a break.

That's absolutely ridiculous. Yes, let's do away with the 7th commandment, or the 8th depending on who's doing the numbering. God must've got that concept wrong. And theft certainly would have nothing to do with failing to love one's neighbor anyway, right??

What are you doing to make a change? Are you living off those same stolen lands and making a living off of someone else? The past can't be changed only accepted. Hopefully you will join with the Christians around the world and make this a better place for everyone. Don't fall into the trap of blaming the group for the acts of the individuals.

I'm sure that you mean well but you are focused on the wrong issues. We all need to be pushing for equality not separation.

What nation of people did not take land by warfare, not have slaves? Lets take dna from all and then look at their ancestral practice in this.
