When Jeremiah was prophesying in Judah,
every heart was uncircumcised. [Jeremiah 9:26]
They harden their hearts toward God and were unable to
receive correction.
When the forehead is hardened, they have no shame,
and their arrogance becomes public knowledge.
Jeremiah 3:3 Therefore the showers have been withheld,
and there has been no latter rain.
You have had a harlot’s forehead; you refuse to be ashamed.
When Ezekiel was prophesying to the captivity, the Lord could not find
one in Judah who stood in the gap for house of Israel [Ezekiel 22:30]
Therefore, the Lord made Ezekiel's forehead firm against them.
Ezekiel 3:
7 But the house of Israel will not listen to you, because they will not listen to Me;
for all the house of Israel are impudent and hard-hearted.
8 Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead
strong against their foreheads.
9 Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead;
do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks,
though they are a rebellious house.
Those who mourned before the Lord in Jerusalem were marked
on the forehead to obtain mercy.
Ezekiel 9:
3 Now the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub,
where it had been, to the threshold of the temple. And He called
to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer’s ink horn at his side;
4 and the Lord said to him, Go through the midst of the city, through
the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men
who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.

Proud Heart, Refusing Discipline In Rebellion and Anger
2 Chronicles 26:
16 But when he was strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he
transgressed against the Lord his God by entering the temple of the Lord to
burn incense on the altar of incense.
17 So Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him were eighty priests
of the Lord—valiant men.
18 And they withstood King Uzziah, and said to him, It is not for you, Uzziah,
to burn incense to the Lord, but for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are
consecrated to burn incense. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have trespassed!
You shall have no honor from the Lord God.
19 Then Uzziah became furious; and he had a censer in his hand to burn incense.
And while he was angry with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead, before
the priests in the house of the Lord, beside the incense altar.
20 And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and there, on
his forehead, he was leprous; so they thrust him out of that place. Indeed he also
hurried to get out, because the Lord had struck him.
