1 Corinthians 1:21. For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom
did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message
preached to save those who believe.

The preaching of the Gospel, that God gave His only Son to death on the Cross
for the Salvation of the World, brings forth the Holy Spirit conviction of sin,
    righteousness and judgment.

    John 16:
    7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I
do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you.

8 And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness,
    and of judgment.

Do you believe that Jesus Christ is The Son of God who took on flesh?

"Another Gospel" will fail to produce that conviction.
    John 3:
    16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18 He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Baptism of the Holy Spirit may come later, as in the case of the household of
Cornelius Acts 10 and the assembly at Ephesus. Acts 19
As to the fruit of the Spirit:

Luke 8:15. But the ones that fell on the good ground are those who, having heard
the word, with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

    John 12:
24 Most assuredly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground
and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it produces much grain.

25 He who loves his life will lose it, and he who hates his life in this world
will keep it for eternal life.

26 If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant
will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor.

What I found is that the Holy Spirit gives us a new nature that loves God, hates sin, and craves repentance from sin as it becomes known. And even though we are saved, the gospel serves as instruction that saves us from the pitfalls everywhere around us.

    John 16:
    13
However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for
He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will
    tell you things to come.

14 He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
15 All things that the Father has are Mine. Therefore I said that He will take of Mine
    and declare it to you.

    John 5:
    22
For the Father judges no one, but has committed all judgment to the Son,
23 that all should honor the Son just as they honor the Father.
He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

“And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.” Deuteronomy 30:6 (KJV 1900)

This is the New Birth aka circumcision of the heart. If born again, you will obey align with scripture. But not as law, which most do.

The topic is "the foolishness of the message preached".
What do you believe is the message that brings this heart conviction, this "circumcision of Christ."

The Holy Spirit convicts us by his presence. The word optional.

The Holy Spirit convicts based on the message preached. "Another Gospel" will not bring conviction
of sin, righteousness and judgment. All that pertains to life and godliness is found in the Son.

The Holy Spirit is LOVE. And he reveals how much hatred we are bound by. He tells us how bound our wills are by sin. Free will is a myth where people measure themselves by themselves.

I agree that conviction from the Lord's presence is ongoing in our walk with Him.
The topic pertains to the conviction of heart that brings salvation to the lost.
"the foolishness of the message preached".
    1 Corinthians 1:
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are
being saved it is the power of God.
19 For it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise,
And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.
20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age?
Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God
through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe.
    22 For Jews request a sign, and Greeks seek after wisdom;
23 but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness,
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

    Romans 5:
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.
10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son,
much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.

There are two ways to read scripture. Carnally or spiritually. Only the Holy Spirit can produce the correct interpretation. DO you know most of what people believe today was condemned as heresy by the early Church creeds?

But why aren't all saved? (This will demonstrate the two ways of understanding scripture).

    John 3:
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7 Do not marvel that I said to you, You must be born again.
This I know well. What I have yet to determine is:
Do you believe that Jesus Christ is The Son of God who took on flesh?

You need to define the person and work of Christ. There are some wrong answers. Many thinking they know the truth get it wrong.

From post #1, and the Gospel of John.

    John 3:

    1 John 4
    1
Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many
false prophets have gone out into the world.
    2
By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come
in the flesh is of God,
    3
and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this
is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.

Many have different Christ's whom they worship. I can say I believe this but still worship an idol I call Christ.
