We are showing that God's ways are above man's ways. His wisdom, knowledge and understanding, is higher than mans.

    1 Cor. 1:25
Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.

    1 Cor. 2:14
But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

    1 Cor. 3:19
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

But I say unto you, that whosoever is angry with his brother without cause shall be in danger of the judgement: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

I assume we all understand that the heart is a metaphor for emotions or feelings, despite the bible verse about a heart of flesh.

Unless someone wants to argue that the heart has the ability to help us reason in addition to its job of pumping blood! Heart transplants might be hard to explain then! Hey, do you think a Christian who receives the heart of an atheist becomes an atheist? LOL!

Anyway, is your argument that understanding is not achieved through the intellect, but strictly through emotions? Bad plan, IMO.

The fool has said in his heart, "There is no God."

The wise man has said it out loud.

    ;)

Don't you guys realize that quoting Bible passages to athiests means absolutely nothing to us.  It's not a convincing rebuttal or arguement in the least.

I don't believe that perfection implies limitations.

Well then, what is it a guide for? Even the bibles moral teachings contradict each other.

    Uh-huh.

They contradict and they don't contradict. You(textual) and I(spiritual) are both right.

Thats a different thread though, so, carry on.

    Yes, they do:

    "Thou shalt not kill."
    --Exodus 20:13

"A curse on him who keeps his sword from bloodshed!"
    --Jeremiah 48:10

    "Blessed are the peacemakers"
    --Matthew 5:9

"The LORD is a man of war"
    --Exodus 15:3

"he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one"
    --Luke 22:36

"all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword"
    --Matthew 26:52

Yes textually they "might". Spiritually they don't. Once again. Be a good guy Neo. Start a new thread. ;)

The fool parrots simplistic sayings he has been handed.

The wise man thinks for himself and explains his reasoning that others might understand his position.

Then why are you on a Christian forum? That is what christians do, they study their Bible and they try to apply it to their life.

This is not the General Apologetics board. This board is to discuss how science, creation, and evolution all relate to the Bible.

Right now, we are talking about widsom, knowledge and understanding. How man's understanding is foolishness to God.

Oh, Science makes a lot of observations. But their understanding of what they are observing, is foolishness if God is not a part of it.

It takes a heart transplant to become a Christian. God takes out the heart of stone, and He puts in a Heart of Flesh. That means that before someone is a Christian, they are unloving, uncaring, without feelings toward others.  Then God puts in a heart of flesh and they become loving, caring, compassionate, understanding and so forth. They take on the nature of God.

No, science would be foolishness if God was a part of it. It would cease to be science.

Is science foolishness for dismissing lightening as something of a divine origin even though we know how it can occur naturally? Do we really need to attribute lightening to a god like some classical civilizations in order for science not to be foolish?
