Yep, both Saturn & Jupiter with a 4.5 Reflector, great view of both of them.

Would love to upgrade to a 9 or 10" Reflector.

I don't remember Saturn specifically. We would go to the observatory and outside were a bunch of telescopes. Plenty of Planets=---Venus, Mars---besides---again---what shape is the moon? You can clearly see it. Why would earth be any different from Venus, Mars, or even the moon? Many people have very expensive telescopes they use to watch the planets, even kids buy them now. Many people watch the skies as a hobby. They have discovered stars---planets- named after them now.

LOL!!! It's blurry, but you can see the rings!! Not the individual ones very clearly, but you can tell there is a disconnect from the rest of the planet---and by the way, what shape is that blob in the middle? 'Cause it sure looks round to me!! And I have seen Saturn with more pronounced rings with a more powerful telescope. Didn't remember till your picture. Go to an observatory. I used to go to Griffith Observatory in l as a kid.

Okay ... let's look at the first one.

Isaiah 40:22a It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth,

If this is speaking of a flat earth, is drawing a circle on a globe, then standing over that circle and looking down, the same thing as saying that globe is flat? of course not.

And as far as what is specifically meant by "the circle of the earth" isn't clear.

Was it the Article circle, before the Arctic circle was drawn (i.e., an anachronism)?

Was it a line of latitude before latitudes were lined (i.e., an anachronism)?

Was it some circle on a map known to Isaiah and his generation?

To say it is referencing a flat earth is overlooking too many other explanations.

The problem with using Isaiah to prove anything one way or another about the earth's shape, is that it's full of figurative language.

"Every valley shall be raised up,
every mountain and hill made low;
the rough ground shall become level,
the rugged places a plain."

Literal or figurative?
“All people are like grass,
and all their faithfulness is like the flowers of the field.
7 The grass withers and the flowers fall,
because the breath of the Lord blows on them.
Surely the people are grass."

Are people literally grass?

"Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?
Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket,
or weighed the mountains on the scales
and the hills in a balance?"

Does anyone preach that God literally held the water in his physical hand or put the dust of the earth in an actual basket? Or actually used scales to weigh the mountains?

No, Isaiah is full of beautiful poetry describing God's might. It's not a history book like Genisis that describes what happened literally.

Isaiah 40:12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?
