Does anyone know what the small cast Icon/statue used during the Russian tradition Dormition service is called? I would like to have one made for a monastery but need to know the name

It looks like this except is smaller (4-5 inches long) and usually held on a plate for veneration after the procession. They usually surround it in rose petals?

And It is separate from the shroud. It is usually placed on the alter after vigil.

I’ve never seen that either. We do have the cloth icon shroud like this:

(Ours uses English though.). We don’t have any statues in our parish though, cast or otherwise.

This is known as the Epitaphios in Greek. I'm not sure if the Russians use a transliteration of the same or a translation.

Isn't the Dormition Church in Jerusalem a Catholic Church?

Epitaphios is the burial shroud. We used a burial shroud but the statue was laid on top during vigil then brought to the altar for liturgy. I was told it was a Russian thing.

And I think it is split between much like the COTHS, but I could be wrong. Either way...

We did it at Hermitage. The picture above is from dornition church in Jerusalem

I am not denying its Orthodoxy, just giving a reason why some of us (like me) haven't seen it.
