The Divine Mercy image is a great thing to just stare into while praying, worrying, or just plain spacing out. It reminds us always of the unfathomable amount of Mercy that Jesus wants to pour out on us, if we just ask.
Much has been written about Divine Mercy, perhaps most notably in the Diary of St. Faustina (Divine Mercy in My Soul). The Little Flower St. Therese of Lisieux also had much to say about Mercy: Saint Thérèse of Lisieux and Mercy
This image has helped me out so much, especially since I got a small one taped to the ceiling above my bed, to look into whenever I lay down, and as a reminder that Jesus is looking down at me, even while I sleep.
