No one really knew if the virus outbreak came directly from infected animals, or had first been isolated in a lab from those animals and somehow got out of the lab. The guys peddling misinformation were usually banned for either stating one or the other as a proven fact, or for conspiracy theories about the virus as a biological weapon, which was patently absurd; it's exactly the opposite of an effective biological weapon.
Actually, your wrong. You didn't have to claim it as fact, or something along the lines of a weapon - which I never really heard about myself. You just had to mention it, and they blocked it. That was in more than one news source HOW could you have missed this story is beyond me? IE Algorithm.
They still mark posts for crazy reasons. I was with a friend of mine today, and one of her groups were discussing laundry. I guess someone's dryer broke, and it was suggested that they hang it out to dry since its warm outside. lol the post was flagged. It was blamed on a wonky algorithm deal later.
If you questioned whether the it
escaped from the lab on accident or not? They blocked it. Since, we don't have to many facts - including the other earlier theories - they also should flagged for censorship.
They only reason they stopped is because scientists seem to be leaning that way. You show lack of creditability when you block something, and claimed its debunked (which media did) and it turns out not to be.
As people learned more over time, the message changed. And it should. No surprise there. It now looks like the Delta variant is dangerous enough that even vaccinated people might need to mask up. Turns out that some of them can still carry the virus, and the Delta variant sheds much more virus particles than previous mutations of the virus.
Those who refuse vaccinations are essentially incubators for new mutations that can produce more virulent forms of the virus.
No one is saying the non vaccinated are incubators for new mutations. You want to complain about misinformation, and yet you offer some...okay then.
The message changing at the beginning is understandable, because we knew almost nothing about it. The basics of protection - and other aspects - shouldn't be changing that often anymore. Yet, they do.
Actually, most scientists are saying that the Delta variant is covered by the current vaccine. There is a chance even if vaccinated - although small - you could still catch it, but the symptoms etc are NOT as severe. The same goes for Covid itself - if you catch it after vaccination? You are in less dangerous position of serious issues compared to those that are not.
Another study, cited by
Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, suggests that the Pfizer vaccine is approximately 80% effective against preventing infection from Delta, 88% effective at preventing symptomatic disease and 96% effective at preventing hospitalizations caused by the virus.
The article above does cover the other vaccines as well.
