    The Mo’ed of Shofars
Mo’ed – the occasion of celebration for a God appointed time. Lev. 23:1-43, Ezekiel 44:24b
Shofar – a ram’s horn trumpet, blown on any special occasion.
This Appointed Day is Yom Teruah, the Festival of Trumpets. Lev. 23:24, Num.29:1-6 It is also Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, the new moon on the first day of the month of Tishri.
    Themes of Yom Teruah:
    * This is the Day that the earth was created. Genesis 1:1
    * This is a Day to blow the shofar, a Day of warning and alarms.
    * This is a Day for judgment. Psalm 81:3
    * This is the Day that Israel will be protected, then gathered. Isaiah 27:13
Then ten days later, there is the Mo’ed of Atonement: Yom Kippur.
These are autumn [fall] festivals. Jesus fulfilled the three spring festivals, in their sequence, at His first advent, then Pentecost soon after, therefore we can expect the next prophesied event to be the Day of Shofars as many prophesies indicate:
Joel 2:1&15 Blow the trumpet in Zion, declare a solemn fast, call a sacred assembly.
Zephaniah 1:16 The Day of the Lord is a Day of trumpets and alarms.
Hosea 5:8 Blow the trumpet in the Land, for the Lord has decreed punishment for Israel.
Jer. 25:30-31 The Lord will thunder from His dwelling place, a great sound will be heard by all.
2 Peter 3:10 The Day of the Lord will come unexpectedly…with a great sound…
Isaiah 29:5-6 Suddenly, in an instant, punishment will come from the Lord, with earthquakes, storms, the thunder of great noise and flames of devouring fire. Ezekiel 7:14 The trumpet has sounded, but no one goes to war, as their turmoil has called forth My wrath.

The Great and terrible Day of the Lord; the Sixth Seal, will be a worldwide catastrophe by fire from the sky and is the single literal Day that the Lord will carry out His judgement of the nations. Hab. 3:12. As Jesus said: As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be when the Son of Man comes. Matthew 24:37-39 Then, the Day of the Lord’s punishment came unexpectedly and now the world is once again in a state of apostasy and denial of God’s existence. Jesus’ reference to Himself as the Son of Man coming IN the clouds at this time, Psalm 18:11, Hab. 3:4, Luke 21:25-27, is not the Return when He comes visible to all, ON the clouds, as the Word of God. Rev 19:13 Note: at the Return, His garments are blood-stained from the years earlier Day of wrath. Isaiah 61:2b, Isaiah 63:1-6
So it seems more than probable that the Lord will take action on the Day designated for it. Isaiah 28:21, Isaiah 34:8, 2 Peter 3:10 Note as well; the Day of Trumpets occurs at the sighting of the first sliver of the new moon, so it is not a day that we can know exactly in advance, so it is the Day that will come unexpectedly, like a thief. Rev. 16:15

In order for the prophesies in Rev 6:12, Joel 2:31 and Isaiah 30:26 about the moon shining brightly red on that Day, it is necessary for it to be closer to the sun, as it is during the new moon. The sun shining with seven times its normal strength, must be a Coronal Mass Ejection sunstrike, it will cause the ‘sky to roll up like a scroll’, earthquakes, hurricanes and tsunamis’ and it will literally fulfill all the graphic prophesies about that Day. Isaiah 46:10, Romans 1:18
As a further proof of this judgement happening before the Return, all of the holy Land will be cleared, Ezekiel 30:1-5, and when the Lord’s true righteous people go to live there, Isaiah 66:20, they will elect their own leaders:
Jeremiah 30:21 A ruler will appear, one of their own people….
Deut. 18:15 The Lord will raise up a leader like Moses from amongst the people… Acts 3:22
Hosea 1:11 The people of Judah and Israel will be united and will choose a leader.

It seems most likely that after all that must happen: the visible Return of Jesus in glory, will occur on a Mo’ed of Tabanacles, the last feast to be fulfilled. ‘Tabernacles’ means ‘God with us’. In 2014, the Day of Trumpets falls on September 24th*, but what will trigger the Lord’s action, is the commencement of an attack on Israel by Iran. Bible prophecy tells us that this will happen and we know Iran and her proxies are prepared and ready to ‘wipe Israel off the map’.
Isaiah 21:2b…Advance Elam; get ready Media, do not hesitate! [Elam and Media: modern Iran]
Isaiah 22:6 Elam took up the quiver, Aram and Kir prepare for war. [Aram and Kir: Arab peoples]
*NASA says the new moon will be on the 25th.

No, I am a Caucasian New Zealand citizen. I believe that I am a member of one of the ten tribes of Israel, still scattered around the world in exile.
My post points out what will happen very soon, the first event in God's plan for our immediate future, leading up to the eventual Return of Jesus.

OK, I see .... you follow a British/Israel identity theology, correct?

Not necessarily. What I do follow is the Bible prophetic Word. That tells us God scattered the ten northern tribes around the world for a decreed time. Amos 9:9 Ezekiel 37 describes the great re-joining that will happen soon.
Anyway, why don't you address the post, rather than attempting to discredit the poster?

Acts 15 says Amos 9 is about the incoming of the Gentiles in the 1st generation of the church.

"Anyway, why don't you address the post, rather than attempting to discredit the poster?"

I simply asked if your affiliation was with an identity theology like British/Israelism Keras

    Why does that bother you?

If I know a posters affiliation I can better understand what one is presenting

Your post has some different ideas than what I see from others on the forum

.... but if you do not want to discuss that is OK with me

Or address how Amos 9 is used by the apostles. It clears up a lot.

I am going to disengage at this time

If you want further information you will have to go to my "New Islamic State of Iraq thread"

I am on the forum to present this current setting in the Middle East in relation to the visions of the Bible prophets, and this is where my focus will be from now on

Obviously no-one wants to actually address the OP.
    Doesn't suit your pre-conceived beliefs?
But just as the prophets tell us; most will be taken by surprise by this Day.

IP, you always must push your preterist notions. You are wrong about Amos 9:9, verse 8 says it is Jacobs posterity [all 12 tribes] who are scattered among the nations and whom God is watching, He knows who they all are. Note in verse 10, that the 'sinners among My people will all die'. Ezekiel 20:34-38
In Acts 15, the word Gentiles is used to describe anyone not Jewish, therefore including all those belonging to the ten Northern tribes. Confirmed by Ezekiel 11:15-21

Keras, with all due respect, the only thing "preconceived" is how you deal with those scriptures.
That depends on which "day" you speak of. Search the scriptures Keras! You'll find that each time the Lord came in judgement, no one was expecting it but those who prophesied it, and those who heeded the prophets.
Wrong again. Listen to Jame qoute the Amos passage in Acts 15:13-19...he's telling you that passage INCLUDES the Gentiles.

You're NOT submitting to scripture but to YOUR "preconceived notions"...and as usual you rant at those who simply acknowledge what you don't...and call them "preterists".

Ladies and gents, Behold the superficial understanding of Scripture "wisdom" based in books supposedly "about the Bible" results in.

Inter, find something else to do with your time, Acts 15 does not assert your above "books based" reasoning...

Ladies and gentlemen...read the passage first! The Aposte James is speaking...and he interprets the passage it plain as day that Amos is speaking of the Gentiles...

    Acts 15:13-18
13 After they had stopped speaking, James answered, saying, “Brethren, listen to me.
14 Simeon has related how God first concerned Himself about taking from among the Gentiles a people for His name.
15 With this the words of the Prophets agree, just as it is written,
16 ‘After these things I will return, And I will rebuild the tabernacle of David which has fallen, And I will rebuild its ruins, And I will restore it,
17 So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, And all the Gentiles who are called by My name,’
18 Says the Lord, who makes these things known from long ago.

    Now Amos 9:11, 12:
    11 “In that day I will raise up the fallen booth of David, And wall up its breaches; I will also raise up its ruins And rebuild it as in the days of old;
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom And all the nations who are called by My name,” Declares the Lord who does this.

Folks...if you read scripture often, I would hope you know the word "nations" is just the same as saying "Gentiles".

James has just said CLEARLY the restoration of Israel includes the Gentiles.

Simply read the passage...and the "Mid-Acts perspective" shows a flaw!

I am saddened by the tone of many of the posts on this forum. However, those with preterist views are a disruptive element and although the forum rules allow partial preterists to contribute, judging by the posts above, the 2 members are pushing the boundaries of this rule.
Someone is wrong about prophecy; is it fulfilled already or not? Remember this: My friends, not many of you should become teachers, for you may be certain that we who teach will ourselves face a severer judgement. James 3:1

I'm saddened by the fact that you can't see it's your tone Keras. Basically you're saying you want folks to see it your way or the highway.

It's not gonna happen...no one's pushing any boundaries...you want to set them...that's all.

Kind of reminds me of when Luther had to post the 95 Thesis on the door...

What I post is fully supported by scripture. I do not ignore any of it, allegorize anything that can be literal, or place any prophecy that is not historically fulfilled into the past.
Maybe I am a bit forceful, but after all I am proclaiming the Prophetic Word.
As I say you and Interplanner post very frequently, always promoting a 'done and dusted' theory. This does seriously disrupt any genuine discussion about Bible prophecy.
So do you purport to be like Luther? Fighting against false doctrines? Funny, I see this forum situation as just the opposite: we who promote Bible truth are fighting against the likes of you, who do all you can to downplay and make redundant what God has told us He will do.
I see you and all who deny the truth of the Prophetic Word, as being in denial of any changes to your present lifestyle. The thought of a terrible fire judgement is too much to handle for you. Most other people who think like that, cling to a 'rapture' to whisk them out of it all, but you have another tack: just say it's already happened and soon Jesus will Return, then all will be rosy.

I think you have made a few good points. However......Pentecost is an unfulfilled harvest feast......the early summer harvest. Learn the parable of the fig tree

Let me clarify things. No where does it say any of the 12 tribes are Gentiles. You are attempting to grasp at straws that are not there.
