Yeah, well these things as stated will take place until the end comes.

    Matthew 24

4Jesus answered, “See to it that no one deceives you. 5For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. These things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8All these are the beginning of birth pains.

You are like a cracked record, Parousia.
Jesus was referring to the generation that sees these things, things far more than the Temple destruction and the second Jewish dispersion.
We have the benefit of hindsight and modern knowledge to know that there is coming a dramatic change to our civilization, This is evident from many aspects.
We who study the Bible, should know all about it and be prepared, not the very foolish and prophecy rejecting attitude that you have.

I have not read that, probably because Rev doesn't speak of any king of the north :)

I taking about his armed forces.
Those who take away the daily sacrifice.
    Well.Lets see.
Do you believe the armed forces of the north will occupy Jerusalem for 42 months prior to the time of the end and he shall cause them to rule over many ?

Daniel 11:39 He will attack the strongest fortresses with the help of a foreign god and will greatly honor those who acknowledge him, making them rulers over many and distributing land for a price.

    Or better.

Revelation 11:2 But exclude the courtyard outside the temple. Do not measure it, because it has been given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for 42 months.

Apparently you are featured on the flipside of my album then... which is also cracked..

Your argument of “we have the benefit of hindsight“ is really quite tired, and rests on the notion that the apostles and original receivers of the holy Scriptures did not have all truth at their disposal. Such is untenable to the honest Bible expositor. Anytime someone claims we must completely rely on extra biblical information to inform you about what the Bible says, Ought give pause, and render their conclusions suspect, to any honest expositor of scripture.

It is several times told to us that the Prophets, including Jesus, didn't know or understand much about what they were given by God to write down and is now part of God's Word to us.
Only now; things are falling into place, making a picture so we can see what God has planned.

Of course, if a person doesn't want to know, as every Pastor that I know and most Church members are, then they are in the dark, a situation that Paul says we should not be in. 1 Thessalonians 5:3-4
The comprehensively prophesied sudden destruction will take all who fail to read what is plainly told to us, by surprise, shocking and terrifying them.

Rev doesn't speak of any army from the north but the Rev 13:1 beast and it's army will be there for 42 months.

Accually the first beast isnt the miitary that occupies Jerusalem for those 42 months. The second beast is that miitary.

Revelation 13:11 Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. This beast had two horns like a lamb, but spoke like a dragon.
Revelation 13:12 And this beast exercised all the authority of the first beast and caused the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose mortal wound had been healed.
Revelation 13:13 And the second beast performed great signs to cause even fire from heaven to come down to earth in the presence of the people.

Revelation talks about how it can command fire to come down out of heaven by simply givingthe command"fire".
It can smite the earth with plagues as often as it will and can even cause it not to rain.(cloud seeding)

    Jesus Didn't write down anything.

    Pure, 100%, opinion and speculation.

Did the Original receivers of the Message have enough information to be saved??
Or were all peoples from the 1st century until today "Lost" without the benefit of modern hindsight??

Since you continue to insist this Hindsight is necessary for ANY expositor of scripture to discover the whole truth that scripture contains, how could anyone before our day have been saved by hearing and responding to the gospel contained therein? A Gospel you appear to claim is INCOMPLETE without the benefit of 2 millennia of "Hindsight"?

    And your point is what?

That "this generation shall not pass till all these things take place" doesn't literally mean what it literally means?

Yet context determines what it means in this case though. Plus it matters where Jesus said that in the Discourse. He didn't say it during any 1st century context. He said it in the end of the age 2nd coming context.

The onus is on you to demonstrate where scripture teaches the "end of the age context" and the "1st century context" are separate and distinct, not to be conflated... The Apostles themselves CLEARLY understood them to be synonymous, and I tend to side with the apostles on pretty much everything.

You are going to have to present a much more compelling argument than you have thus far, to convince me that the "apostolic" understanding is NOT the "Correct" Understanding..

Ive learned long ago that this generation has not passed and will not untill all that is written about its time is fullfilled. Then a new age begins .

By the looks if the prophecies being fulfilled ,i would say this generation has about 5 years left in it.

I know Peter and Barnabus knew the end of the age was not in the first century.Peter was well aware the day of the lord was thousands of years away.

2 Peter 3:8 Beloved, do not let this one thing escape your notice: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill His promise as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish but everyone to come to repentance.
2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar, the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and its works will be laid bare.

Fact is,the things Jesus spoke of have not taken place yet and you cant prove they have.History just isnt on your side.

And I've learned you are wrong about that.

Oh Good! another Date Setter... I've been posting here for 17 years... I have a running tally on all the folks like you who have come and gone making similar predictions - and they all have one thing in common; 100% failure rate. Not a wagon I'd be excited about attaching my star to if I were you....
Like I've done with all the others, I'll pull this post up in 6 years so you can publicly account for, and repent of, your error.

But, just for giggles, name one eschatological prophesy that you believe been fulfilled in the past 2 years.

Be sure to cite your sources and have loads of Historical evidence....

Interesting How Jesus PROMISED His Thiefs Coming would befall 1st-century peoples.... (Revelation 3:3)

Are you saying Jesus was wrong to promise them that?

Peter is not claiming Jesus coming was thousands of years away in that passage- that is an invention of yours. We know that because of the myriad of other proclamations of Peter ( and the rest of the appostles) about the nearness to them of His coming:

“…salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” (I Peter 1:5)

He …has appeared in these last times for the sake of you.” (I Peter 1:20)

They shall give account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.” (I Peter 4:5)

The end of all things is at hand; therefore, be of sound judgment and sober spirit for the purpose of prayer.” (I Peter 4:7)

"For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God.” (I Peter 4:17)

“…as your fellow elder and witness of the sufferings of Christ, and a partaker also of the glory that is about to be revealed.” (I Peter 5:1)

We have the prophetic word …which you do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the Day dawns and the morning star arises in your hearts.” (II Peter 1:19)

Their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.” (II Peter 2:3)

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up. Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God.” (II Peter 3:10-12)

This is what was spoken of through the prophet Joel: 'And it shall be in the last days…'” (Acts 2:16-17)

Paul concurs they were, at that time, on the verge of what was "about to happen".....

He has fixed a day in which He is about to judge the world in righteousness…” (Acts 17:31)

There is about to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.” (Acts 24:15)

As he was discussing righteousness, self-control and the judgment about to come…" (Acts 24:25)

You are going to have to come up with a lot stronger case to convince me that these, and the myriad of other scriptures of the like, need to be ignored or spiritualized away as you need them to be..

Obviously, the only 'case' that will convince you, is when the atmosphere is pushed aside, the moon shines blood red, the earth shakes and shudders and millions are killed worldwide.
Blithely thinking that these things won't happen, just leaves you unprepared and unready to face what is plainly told us in our Bibles.
