The Da Vinci Code

Hi, I was at work and heard some friends were talking about a new book, "The Da Vinci Code" I beilieve it was by Dan Brown. It sounded interesting and I want to read it but it said that it was about corruption in the church and some wierd stuff in it. I haven't read it yet, I wanted some input as to the book in christian eyes. I just don't know if it is against God or something. Has anybody read it? Any Input? Any would be nice. Thanks!

I have not read the book, but here is what I have heard:

1. It is a fictional book (this one is definitely true)
2. It tells a story about Jesus being married to Mary Magdalene
3. It was so controversial that there has been another book 'Refuting the DaVinci Code' written.

I'm sure it will be at the library soon, it has been out for quite a while.

My friend told me that it is about Jesus and Mary Magdalen (sp?). She also said it was very interesting...I haven't read it but I want to check it out at the library. In my group of friends almost everyone wants to read it! lol

I read it, but it bored me senseless with its poor writing...

"oh yay, look at me, I can hire research assistants... BUY MY BOOK!!!"

I don't like any of Dan brown's books.

I haven't heard much good about this book from people who are educated in Christian history, and that includes believers and atheists...
