"For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, cursed is everyone that does not continue to do all things that are written in the book of the law" Galatians 3:10.
Paul wrote this to the Galatians that thought they would be saved and justified if they kept the Mosiac law.
"Knowing this that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law no flesh will be justified" Galatians 2:16.
The Torah contained over 600 laws, but there are actually over 2,000 laws in the Old Testament. Anything in the Bible that tells us to do something or not to do something is law. One can be saved by the law, if they do everything that is written in the book of the law from the time that they are accountable to God, which is somewhere between the age of 5 to 10 years old. If one violates just one law, they have become a sinner. Adam and Eve only sinned once.
The law is spiritual, it searches the desires and the intent of the heart, Hebrews 4:12. In order to keep the spiritual law all of your thoughts would have to be pure and without sin. It is foolish to believe that one can keep God's law, this is why John wrote, If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us" 1 John 1:8. And is why Paul wrote, "There is none righteous, no, not one" Romans 3:10. In spite of these scriptures, many still believe that they can be saved and justified by the law.
When we accept Christ as our savior God spiritually places us "In Christ". God only sees us "In Christ". We are no longer under the law or subject to the law. God sees us as perfect and complete "In Christ" Colossians 2:10. This is why the law has been abolished for the believer, Ephesians 2:15 and is why Jesus nailed it to his cross, Colossians 2:14. Those that continue to try and be saved or justified by the law, are the ones that are under the curse. They are in denial of the Gospel and justification by faith and are under condemnation.
