The content of a gift can itself be the experience of doing something, such as someone giving you the opportunity to experience driving a Ferrari for an hour, and in a the same way, part of the content of God's gift of salvation is the experience of teaching us to obey His law.

In Psalms 119:29-30, David wanted to put false ways far from him, for God to be gracious to him by teaching him to obey His law, and he chose the way of faithfulness, so this has always been the one and only way of salvation by grace through faith and the content of the gift that David was asking God to give him was itself the experience of being taught to obey His law. In Exodus 33:13, Moses wanted God to be gracious to him by making known to him His ways that He might experientially know Him, and Israel too, and God made His ways known through His law (Deuteronomy 10:12-13, Isaiah 2:2-3, Joshua 22:5, Psalms 103:7, Psalms 119:1-3, etc.) so the content of the gift that he was asking God to give him was the experience of being taught to obey His law, which is also the way to know God, which is salvation. In John 17:3, eternal life is knowing God and Jesus, in Matthew 19:17, the way to enter eternal life is by obeying God's commandments, and in Romans 6:19-23, no longer presenting ourselves as slaves to impurity lawlessness, and sin is contrasted with now presenting ourselves as slaves to God and to righteousness leading to sanctification, and the goal of sanctification is eternal life in Christ, which is the gift of God, so the experience of obeying God's law is itself part of the content of God's gift of eternal life. In Titus 2:11-14 our salvation is described as being trained by grace to do what is godly, righteous, and good, and to renounce doing what is ungodly, so God graciously teaching us to obey His laws for how to experience these things is itself part of the content of His gift of salvation.

The example of the obedience of faith unto the law of faith is seen in deeds of being faithful ( ie loosing your life and comfort in this life/world)

Jesus Christ does opposite to Israel who sought what is for their life ( that is seeking without faith as seen in Christ and His Apostles)

Matthew 8:20 And Jesus saith unto him, The foxes have holes, and the birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

1 Corinthjians 4:11 Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;

1 Corinthians 4:12 And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:
13 Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.
14 I write not these things to shame you, but as my beloved sons I warn you.
15 For though ye have ten thousand instructers in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
16 Wherefore I beseech you, be ye followers of me.

1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

Philippians 3:17 Brethren, be followers together of me, and mark them which walk so as ye have us for an ensample.

2 Thessalonians 3:9 Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an ensample unto you to follow us.

I believe that another way to put it is that, now under grace, a believer is changing into God’s own image, from the moment of his justification. And that image is the image of love. And that love fulfills the law by its nature. Love is our righteousness as God is our righteousness. Our job is to cooperate in His work, to remain in Him, under grace, living by the Spirit.

I would agree that the experience of being changed into God's image is also another way to describe the experience of the gift of salvation. In Hebrews 1:3, Christ is the exact image of God's nature and he expressed aspects of God's nature through such as love and righteousness through his actions by walking in sinless obedience to God's law, so that is also what it looks like when we are changed into God's image. If we love God and our neighbor, then we won't commit adultery, theft, murder, idolatry, kidnapping, rape, incest, favoritism, and so forth for all of the other laws that God has given, so all of God's others laws are examples of what it means to obey the command to love and love fulfills the other laws because it is inclusive of them. In 1 John 2:6, those who are in Christ are obligated to walk in the same way he walked, which was in obedience to His law, in Psalms 119:29, David wanted God to be gracious to him by teaching him to obey His law, so that is what it means to be under grace, and in Ezekiel 36:26-27, the Spirit has the role of leading us to obey God's law, so that is also the way to live by the Spirit.

They without us where not made perfect..

Hebrews 11:40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

What better thing was provided ?

Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a better hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

The better hope made us perfect, to draw near to God.

That alone draws man near, no teaching of law did evidently, nor could ever do, as just testified.

Not quite. . .

The law is too low a standard for the New Covenant of grace.
There is nothing in the law about giving a ride to a neighbor who needs one. . .or a thousand other things that love does.
A lot of the Decalogue is about criminal behavior.
The New Covenant law of love (Matthew 22:37-40) is a much higher standard than the Old Covenant law of Moses.

The Decalogue and Levitical laws were the condition of the Mosaic Covenant, which had been temporarily added (Galatians 3:19; Romans 5:20) to the Abrahamic Covenant of grace (Genesis 15:6, Genesis 15:18).
Those laws were given for the purpose of revealing sin (Romans 3:20, Romans 7:7) and of leading to Christ (Galatians 3:24), they were not given to make righteous, because from the beginning with Abraham, righteousness had always been by faith (Genesis 5:6; Romans 4:3), never by law-keeping, for "all who rely on observing the law are under a curse." (Galatians 3:10).

Now that faith in Christ has come (the Mosaic law fulfilling its purpose and now being fulfilled in the NT law of Christ, Matthew 22:37-40), we are no longer under the Mosaic Covenant (Hebrews 8:13) nor under the supervision of the Mosaic law (Galatians 3:25).

The law (temporarily added to the Abrahamic Covenant of grace) has completed what it was given to do... the old covenant is now obsolete (Hebrews 8:13) as the law on which it was based is set aside (Hebrews 7:18-19; Romans 8:2-3). . .and we are back to a covenant of grace alone, (Ephesians 2:8-9) just as it was with Abraham.

It is for freedom (from the yoke of slavery to the law, Galatians 2:4, Galatians 5:1b) that Christ has set us free (Galatians 5:1a) and taken us back to a covenant of grace alone.

Keeping in mind that loving your neighbor as yourself is not new to the NT, but it was not part of the Mosaic law
on which the temporary Mosaic Covenant was conditioned and, therefore, it remains in the New Covenant--as the law of Jesus Christ (Matthew 22:37-40), and which now fulfills that temporary Mosaic law "and any other commandment there may be." (Romans 13:8-10).

The Law of God is both perfect (Psalms 19:7) and makes nothing perfect, so it is God who makes us perfect, and obedience to His law is what that looks like. Being made to be perfect is about being made to be like Christ, and Christ set a sinless example of how to walk in obedience to God's law, so the God's describes the life of someone who is perfect as it describes the life of Christ. God's laws are His instructions for how to draw near to Him.

Obedience to any set of instructions is about putting our faith in the one who gave them to rightly guide us, which is why our faith upholds God's law (Romans 3:31) and why Jesus said that faith is one of the weightier matters of the law (Matthew 23:23).

The Law of God is both perfect (Psalms 19:7) and makes nothing perfect, so it is God who makes us perfect, and obedience to His law is what that looks like. Faith is in the law of faith, not ion the law that is without faith.

Romans 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.

The weightier matter of the law is mercy, love, which you do for others, as law is to prevent unlawful man from doing harm to others.

1 Timothy 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

Being in the law of faith now, it is done without talk but by the same deeds as Christ and the Apostles, adding or taking from that means nothing.

Actually. . .NT saving faith is in (toward) the person and atoning sacrifice (blood, Romans 3:25) of Jesus Christ for the remission of one's sin and right standing with God's justice; i.e., "not guilty," declared righteous by God's imputation of the righteousness of Jesus Christ by faith, as it was imputed to Abraham by faith ( Genesis 15:6; Romans 4:3).

In Romans 3:27, Paul contrast a law of works with the law of faith, so works of the law are the law of works, while he said in Romans 3:31 that our faith upholds God's law, so it is the law of faith, and there are many others verses that connect our faith in God with our obedience to His commands and that connect breaking faith with disobedience to His commands. In Isaiah 51:7, the righteous are those on whose heart is God's law, and in Habakkuk 2:4, the righteous shall live by faith, so living by faith does not refer to an alternative manner of living that is not in obedience to God's law. In Romans 7:12, God's law is holy, righteous, and good, so it does not just prevent us from doing what is unlawful, but also teaches us how to do what is holy, righteous, and good.

Gods law always was the law of Christ,

In Deuteronomy 5:31-33, Moses wrote down everything that God commanded him without departing from it, so all of the Law of Moses was commanded by God and is thus the Law of God. Furthermore, the Law of Moses is referred to as the Law of God in verses like Nehemiah 8:1-8, Ezra 7:6-12, and Luke 2:22-23. God is not in disagreement with Himself about which laws we should follow, so the Law of Christ is the same as the Law of the Spirit and the Law of the Father, which was given to Moses. In Hebrews 1:3, Christ is the exact expression of God's nature, which he expressed by living in sinless obedience to the Law of Moses, so he is the physical manifestation of the nature of God expressed through Law of Moses, or in other words, he is the word of God made flesh, so the Law of Christ could not be something other than the Law of Moses of which he is the living embodiment. Christ spent his ministry teaching his followers how to obey the Law of Moses by word and by example, so it wouldn't make sense to think that the Law of Christ was something other than the law that Christ taught.

as grace and truth came through Christ ( the law was given by Moses)

John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

In John 1:16, it says grace upon grace, so it is speaking about one example of grace being added upon another. There is no "but" in the Greek in John 1:17, but rather both are listed as examples of grace. Again, in Exodus 33:13, Psalms 119:29-30, and Titus 2:11-14, the experience of God teaching us to obey the Law of Moses is itself part of the content of His gift of salvation

That is how Gods law is truth.

God's nature is truth. The Law of Moses is truth because it is God's instruction for how to express God's nature and Jesus is the living embodiment of the truth (John 14:6) because he is the exact expression of God's nature, which he expressed through his actions by living in sinless obedience to the Law of Moses. In Ezekiel 36:26-27, the Spirit has the role of leading us to obey the Law of Moses, in John 16:13, the Spirit has the role of leading us in truth, and again the Law of Moses is truth. In John 8:31-36, it is sin in transgression of the Law of Moses that puts us in bondage while it is the truth that sets us free. In John 17:17, God’s word is truth, and the Mosaic Law is God’s word. In 2 Timothy 3:8, those who oppose the truth also oppose Moses, being of corrupted minds, and disqualified in regard to the faith.

Hebrews 3:5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

While Jesus is certainly greater than Moses, the same God who gave the Law to Moses also sent Jesus to bless us by turning us from our wickedness in disobedience to it (Acts 3:25-26), so there is no disagreement.

Yes Christ spent His time teaching Israel how to obey the law of Moses, by magnifying upon it, He did not teach the same thing, but taught how to do better.

Pay attention to not resisting evil. How God is kind to the evil and the good, to the just and the unjust, to the unthankful and the evil.

Exodus 21:23 And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life,
24 Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot,
25 Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe.

Isaiah 42:21 The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.

Matthew 5:38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth:
39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also.
41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

Matthew 5:43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy.
44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust.

Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Romans 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

In John 1:16, it says grace upon grace, so it is speaking about one example of grace being added upon another. There is no "but" in the Greek in John 1:17, but rather both are listed as examples of grace. Again, in Exodus 33:13, Psalms 119:29-30, and Titus 2:11-14, the experience of God teaching us to obey the Law of Moses is itself part of the content of His gift of salvation

.

Grace for grace, is the fulness of Christ ( what was received from Moses was not the fulness of God)

The circumcision they received from Moses was not grace, ( it all ended up in death so cant be grace or truth)

Now the grace of Christ and truth of God is the circumcision made without hands, the circumcision of Christ ( by the Spirit gift)

John 7:22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.

Colossians 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:

John 1:16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.
17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Hebrews continues, how Jesus by the grace of God tasted death for every man.

Also the improvement on Moses, how Moses was faithful in all his house, but we are the house of Christ ( all the fulness of God, which is the grace and truth, not contained in the law of Moses, and is only through Christ)

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.

Hebrews 3:5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after;
6 But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.

Romans 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

While Jesus is certainly greater than Moses, the same God who gave the Law to Moses also sent Jesus to bless us by turning us from our wickedness in disobedience to it (Acts 3:25-26), so there is no disagreement.

There is no truth in what is decayed, waxed old and vanished..

Hebrews 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Romans 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

In Galatian 4:4, Jesus was born under the law, so he was obligated to obey it, and he set a sinless example of how to walk in obedience to it, which includes Deuteronomy 4:2, which forbids adding to or subtracting from the law, so he did not do that, and magnifying the law should not be interpreted as making changes to it, but in regard to increasing its status in parallel with Isaiah 42:21 says about making it honorable. So Jesus should not be interpreted as hypocritically preaching something other than what he practiced.

Whenever Jesus quoted Scripture, he preceded it by saying "it is written", but when he was quoting from what the people of his day had heard being said, he preceded it by saying "you have heard that it was said", so he was not making changes to what was written in violation of Deuteronomy 4:2, but rather he was fulfilling the law by correcting what was wrongly being taught about it and by teaching how to correctly obey it as it was originally intended. Case in point:

Matthew 5:43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

While the Bible certainly teaches us to love our neighbor (Leviticus 19:18), it does not teach us to hate our enemy, so that is what he was correcting. Rather, loving our enemy is in accordance with what was said in Exodus 23:4-5, Deuteronomy 23:7, Proverbs 24:17-18, and Proverbs 25:21-22. "An eye for an eye" is still a good guideline for judges to help ensure fair sentencing that does not escalate out of proportion to the offense, however, it was a guideline that was only given to and intended to be used by judges, so it was not intended to be used in personal situations to justify revenge into our own hands, but rather in those stations we are told not to repay in kind (Proverbs 20:22, Proverbs 24:29).

Even if Jesus could have raised the bar without sinning and disqualifying himself as being our savior, then that would mean that at the very least we should obey the Law of Moses plus whatever else he raised the bar too. So for example, if refrain from looking at a woman with lust in our hearts, then that would at least be inclusive of obeying the command against adultery plus what he raised the bar to. However, he wasn't raising the bar because refraining from looking at a woman with lust in our hears is what we will do if we correctly understand what is being prohibited by the 7th and 10th Commandments against adultery and against coveting in our hearts.
