• Welcome to Christian Forums
  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

My vent today is Christians that claim to fulfill the Great Commission yet drive away the very people that Christ reached out to. Those that are not washed up and fit what we think goodness is, those that are unloved, those that others reject. When they do this their blood is on their hands. If they cant deal with the language, the hurt, the raw emotion, how in nthe world can they reach out and bring anyone into the kingdom. The blood of these is on someones hands.

PS 51:11 Do not cast me away from Your presence, And do not take Your Holy Spirit from me

You know what Bill? This is something you should be taking into prayer. Let me tell you a little story. A couple of weeks ago, I poured my heart out in this forum and told everyone my deepest darkest secrets over my lifetime. That I had been guilty at a time in my life of almost ALL of the sins most talked about in these forums, I was used and abused by the world Bill....and let me tell you something, only TWO people here responded with compassion and the love of Christ.

Do you know who they were? Two of the other ACCUSED and Misjudged in this forum by those who are "holier" than we are. The ones who cared, were Nadiine and Latreia. NOT ONE of my accusers or those who misjudged me, and who I would have compassion for repented or even softened their hearts. Not even those who remain on the sidelines reached out. People judging you by where you are having no idea what you went through to get there. Many of the "amens" you'll get from this post are those who are guilty of the very thing they are "amening" your post for.

I don't know what some people call that, but Jesus called it hypocrisy.

I started a Thanksgiving thread and it sits there with not one to offer up a word of thanks to the Lord? Why is that? Is it because they are too busy in this thread complaining?

Let the world change with us. Each one of us, starting with the one in the mirror.

    God bless

To be honest, IAR, I have not seen your post, or I would have responded to it, as well. And for another, you have no idea what we are venting about, so you can't know who is the 'accused'.

Actually, you surely saw the post Belinda, because a part of it was reported. You were involved in the report thread. But whatever. My point wasn't to battle with everyone who wanted to try to justify themselves. My point was to try to get us all to do a little introspection.

As far as the other, I don't know what you are talking about as far as me not
knowing who are the accused, because I am one of the accused! lol

Anyway, see the last part of the previous paragraph again regarding my point.

    God bless.

Believe me when I say I judge noone as I am guilty of much and have been forgiven much and maybe that is why reaching out to those lkike myself that are modern day lepers is so close to me. I did not see your post you are referring to or I most certainly would have reached out. My compassion is not for those who would judge but for those who are hurting and those that Christ would have reached out to.

    Dear Bill,

My post wasn't about you, please don't misunderstand. I was just giving you a little bit of history around here and letting you know that many of the "amens" you can expect to receive for your post may be from those guilty of what your post was indicating and that the contents of your post, which are valid need to be taken into prayer. That's all.

And PS. Some of the "modern day lepers" as you call them are apostates. There is a big
difference between apostates and persons struggling with any area of sin. We are not called
to coddle apostates. So, be sure that what you believe is occurring actually is, as
I don't believe I have seen it. What I see mostly is some people beating up on others who won't coddle
apostates and won't coddle those who want to throw the Word of God into a bon fire.

    God bless.

Which is never a bad thing, and thank you for your post. It hit home.

The internet, IMO, can be a tool that can be used for growth ... for knowledge, for faith ... but also for ego. When we come to a media form such as message boards, the chance that we will become enamored of our own writings, and begin to think that our opinion should be the opinion of every other person we come across ... and that people should hang on our words as if they were gospel ... is great. We begin to lose ourselves in our writing ... that we start to believe that our opinions are much more. Continually posting ... can lead us to think that we're more important ... than others, than God ... and it becomes almost a form of worship of self.

So why does your thread of thanksgiving go empty? Well, in my case ... I'm probably too busy thanking myself for my "wit and wisdom" ... the manifestation of which is ... I make more posts glorifying myself and "announcing" that glorification to others by enjoining them in debate and discussion.

Food for thought for me IaR, thanks for moving me along in that regard.
