Lk 1:33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

Mt 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

kingdom shall not end!

matt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Where is the word catholic first used?

Around 110 AD

"
Chapter 8. Let nothing be done without the bishop
See that you all follow the bishop, even as Jesus Christ does the Father, and the presbytery as you would the apostles; and reverence the deacons, as being the institution of God. Let no man do anything connected with the Church without the bishop. Let that be deemed a proper Eucharist, which is [administered] either by the bishop, or by one to whom he has entrusted it. Wherever the bishop shall appear, there let the multitude [of the people] also be; even as, wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the Catholic Church. It is not lawful without the bishop either to baptize or to celebrate a love-feast; but whatsoever he shall approve of, that is also pleasing to God, so that everything that is done may be secure and valid." CHURCH FATHERS: Epistle to the Smyrnaeans (St. Ignatius)

To those who I give the challenge to, above is an example of a proper answer: a Quote showing in context and link for others to check the full text.

...which is close to the intended meaning when it was first used of the church. The first century saw a lot of sects--Gnostics, Judaizers, and etc.--from which the mainline church meant to distance itself.

The Catholic church changed Gods law. It clearly says in the Bible man can not change Gods law

Revelations 22:18-19 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Just look at the catholic 10 commandments compared to Gods Commandments. This church is putting the pope above God. People do not need a mediator- you can pray directly to God and only God can forgive sins.

Mark 2:7 Why does this Man speak blasphemies like this? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”

John 20:22 When he had said this, he breathed on them; and he said to them: Receive ye the Holy Ghost.
20:23 Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them: and whose sins you shall retain, they are retained.

The Church of scripture is one united ecclesial body (Eph 4:3-4; Eph 4:13-16; Jn 17:21; Mt 16:18) without schismatic divisions (1 Cor 12:25; Rom 16:17; 1 Cor 1:10; Jude 1:19; Gal 5:20; 3 John 1:9-10), with one teaching for all the churches (Acts 15:22-23,25,28/Acts 16:4-5; 1 Tim 1:3; 1 Cor 1:10; Eph 4:5; Jude 1:3), and one bishopric authorized of and by the apostles (Titus 1:5) by the laying on of hands in ordination (Heb 6:2; 2 Tim 1:6; 1 Tim 4:14; Titus 1:5), sharing ministers back and forth among all churches (1 Cor 16:3; Rom 16:1,3,9,21,23; Phil 2:19,25; Titus 3:12), receiving one another in fellowship and in greeting (Rom 15:5-7; Rom 16:16; Col 4:10,12,14; 3 John 1:9-10), where excommunication removes individuals from this one body (Matt 18:17; 1 Corinthians 5:1-2,4-5), and which existed from St. Peter and the apostles unto today (Matt 16:18-19; Eph 3:21).

So, if that is true, why do you identify yourself as Catholic and not Orthodox?

for some reason, people think that those who are separated from His Body are somehow magically incorporated becasue of their own wishes.

Then, of course, there are those who assume that simply because they hold membership in a church that claims to be THE CHURCH that God has incorporated them into His church because of their own wishes.
