Be careful Optimax, you are walking "a slippery slope" by saying such things.
You and the other ARE NOT the Holy Spirit and your comments are full of pride and jealousy.
I didn't ask for the calling, and I am sure others didn't as well. Sure some may proclaim themselves as such to make a profit, but Pastors do that as well, so lets just proclaim pastors illegitimate too.
Anyways, I don't have to explain myself to you so I'll stop this senseless banter and do what I'm told and shown. My calling comes from God and as he told me, people would not listen. Well that is already coming to pass, in a "Spirit filled" forum no less, wow....
This is the most hateful response from one who is a "watchmen". You have displayed judgement against your brothers. Matt 7:5 comes into mind.
"You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye."
Filled with jealousy? We are questioning what you are saying is God's word because it counters what we read in scripture. There is a large difference between the OT and the NT. The NT we are filled with the Holy Spirit to guide us. That includes helping our brothers stay on the right path.
We are not saying you didn't have a vision, or even a calling. We are trying to understand it. Paul too had a vision.
2 Corinth 12:21
"I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago was caught up to the third heaven. Whether it was in the body or out of the body I do not know--God knows."
What is he saying here? He is saying that although he had a vision he does not boast about it and proclaim it truth. He understands the gospel is all we need and he does not want people to consider him "important".
You say we are NOT the Holy Spirit? You are correct, but the Holy Spirit resides in us.
A more direct question would be, Where is your scriptural backing of claiming you are a "Watchman" in the NT? If any vision does not line up with what we are told in the bible, it's not sound.
I am not jealous of you being a "watchman", prideful? Yeah. I'm a prideful being, filled with sin that is in no way deserving of my salvation. The definition of what a watchman is in the OT seems very much like what all Christians are in the NT. So yes, you may of had a vision, but perhaps you should take out of it that all Christians must be alert and aware of the end times for Jesus spoke of it? He told the disciples to teach that the end is coming. That sounds pretty watchmany to me.
Brother, I just want you to be clear on what you say. We are all tasked with speaking God's Word. That's what the bible is. His Living Word that we should scream it's message to all nations. But to claim to have a different message than what the bible teaches us and that it comes directly from God. That's a very big statement. One so big that your fellow brothers and sisters who love you will be sure to help you come to understand.
Please do not becoming hateful and prideful when you ask questions or direct you to certain parts of the bible. I can speak for myself, that it's not us being jealous of your stance with God, for we all have different paths, it's being good brothers and "watchmen" for each other.
God Bless
