I agree that Mary needed a Savior. There is no doubt of that. The place where we disagree is when that saving Grace was applied to her. Catholics believe that it was applied at her conception to make her a fit vessel for our Lord. Romans 3:23 is not a good verse to quote on this subject because it is incomplete. Read on down to where it says we are justified freely by His Grace through the Redemption that came by Jesus Christ. And remember how that Redemption came to us.

God bless...

1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

I find it particularly interesting that you use THIS verse in discussing Mary.

For Jesus was the Word! And most certainly the Word was IN MARY.

John 1: 14
And the Word became flesh
and made his dwelling among us,
and we saw his glory,
the glory as of the Father's only Son,
full of grace and truth.

Peace be with you,

savinggrc:

Because the Bible says that He was slain from the foundation of the world.

Yep!!! In fact, His crucifixion and resurrection stands outside of time. Meaning, He is perpetually dying on the cross for our sins and then raising up from the dead. When we take part in the Eucharist, we are taking part in the death and resurrection of our Lord. Yet another reason to be Catholic.....
