"One guy? You've got to be kidding. Your a prideful *******. Take care of him." One of them said. The other two continued beating Yuzuki.

John sighed as one of bullies ran at him and with one graceful move he used the weight of the attack to throw the bully on the ground, quickly followed by a thrust of his hand to the bully's jugular vein which caused the bully to faint.

The other two hesitated but the leader told them to attack so they obeyed. One managed to punch John in the face but not very hard.

John scoffed as snapped the bottom of his palm against the other bully's chin quickly followed by two quick snaps to the bully's stomach which caused the bully to hit the ground, stunned too much to move. "I'm telling you, leave her alone or I'm going to have to take care of you," he said as he checked his nose to make sure it wasn't bleeding.

"Whoa...alright alright you win Mr. Fighter Hero... we'll leave." The leader said after kicking Yuzuki hard before he heard John. "Let's go." H e said. The gang members stood up and dragged their unconscious buddy along with them and quickly moved past John, fearful of him.

Yuzuki coughed up a little blood.

John bent down on his knees to look closer at Yuzuki. "Are you alright? I'll carry you home if you need me to. But first I'm going to have to call Edward and Edie to let them know what happened," he said as he pulled out his hankerchief and started to dab at the blood as he took out his cell phone with his other hand and began dialing Edward's phone number.

"No...I'm alright." Yuzuki replied, standing up slowly. She was bruised and in pain but she was able to walk.

John sighed as he got up. "Are you sure, it looks like you took quite a beating," he said as he put his arm around Yuzuki's shouder to make sure that she won't fall. "Come on Edward, pick up the phone!" he said as his cell phone kept ringing.

"I'm fine..." Yuzuki repeated.

"Alright, well, just be careful, you might not know when there's danger lurking behind any curve," he said as he removed his arm from Yuzuki's shoulder.

"Thanks for helping me out John... would you like to come over to my "place" for a cup of tea?" Yuzuki asked as she bent over to pick up her bag. Her aching body protested.

John sighed as he got on his knees. "Here, let me do that," he said as he got her bag. "You shouldn't bend right now, it's just going to make your bruises worser then they already are."

Yuzuki nodded, then waited for his answer to her question.

John blinked because he forgot what she asked him but then he remembered. "Yeah, sure, I'll like some tea, if it's not too much bother to you," he said before he got Edward's answering machine. "Edward, I wanted you to know that Yuzuki was being beaten up by a group of bullies, she's ok, but she does have bruises from it. If you don't get this messege I'll call you by cell phone and tell that way, ok?" he said before hanging his cell phone up and began dialing Edie's cell phone number.

"Don't bother them I'm alright..." Yuzuki said.

John blinked. Was it him or was Yuzuki falling in love with him? He swallowed the hard lump in his throat as he followed Yuzuki to her apartment. "Are you sure?" he asked, his voice betraying what he thought she was thinking of him.

"Yes there's no need to bother them, I'll be alright." Yuzuki replied as they reached her "apartment". It was a ratty place, the ceiling looked like it was about to fall down and was cracked lots of places. The cabinets had cracks in them, the whole place looked extremely bad. Yuzuki shut the door behind them and then went to the sink. She turned the hot water on, let it run for a few moments then brought two cups out and filled them, then put the tea bags in them.

"Yes there's no need to bother them, I'll be alright." Yuzuki replied as they reached her "apartment". John blinked when he saw how disgusting her apartment was. "Um, Yuzuki, you don't have to live here. You could live with me, I mean I do have plenty of space at my house. What I'm most afraid of is that you'll get desease from where you're living, or I could come by and fix your place so you won't have to be afraid of mice and other pests."

"I don't think it's possible to fix this place. Besides the landlord would get mad. No I can't move in with you...I'll get in the way and be burdening you and your parents.." Yuzuki replied, then handed him his cup of tea.
