So, in July……

Yes, in July...
July 27, 2021
Ken Bennett, the Arizona state Senate's liaison to its review of 2020's presidential election ballots threatened to resign from that post live on conservative talk radio on Monday, saying the Senate's pro-Trump contractors had been hiding their results from him for months and could even be manipulating audit data.

"I cannot be part of a process that I am kept out of critical aspects," Bennett told James T. Harris, host of The Conservative Circus on Phoenix's KFYI. "The reason that I am that close to stepping down as liaison is that I cannot be part of a process that I am kept out of critical aspects along the way that make the audit legitimate."

Bennett, a conservative Republican, and former Arizona secretary of state has been an accountant outside of politics. While he cited problems with Maricopa County's handling of ballots, Bennett said that the lead contractor, the Cyber Ninjas, might be covering up mistakes made in the review's earlier stages by falsifying data.

"We have to be very careful that the third count [of the total number of ballots] is, of course, independent from the Cyber Ninjas' second [hand] count [of presidential votes]," he said. "We have to make sure that we are not force-balancing to their numbers or giving them something too early to allow them to force-balance back to our numbers."

Yeah, it's not going to reflect well on Biden in my opinion, unless there is a way to get more of the people to the airport and out.

France and Britain have sent special forces in to get their citizens. It has been reported that American citizens have been beaten by the Taliban.

The intelligence was there. It was ignored by the politicians.

It's worse that that. Trump appointees deliberately undermined efforts of U.S. officials:

And Biden’s leadership is a disaster.

Americans disagree with you...
The preliminary evidence is likely to disappoint the president's fiercest critics.
...
49% backed the U.S. exit from Afghanistan, while 39% did not. The poll was conducted while Americans confronted a weekend of headlines about the Taliban returning to power.

The latest findings from Data for Progress pointed in a similar direction.

Though there were predictable partisan divisions, the overall results found 51% of Americans endorsing the decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Afghanistan, while 37% were opposed to the policy. (The poll was conducted between Aug. 13 to 16.)

As NBC News reported overnight, the same survey results found that a 55% majority of the public also supports the Biden administration speeding up the process of giving immigrant visas to U.S. allies in Afghanistan, as opposed to 30% who believe the administration should take no additional action to bring Afghans here.

Even a plurality of Republican voters sided with the White House on this issue.

The Biden Administration was warned in July of potential catastrophe

No doubt, Donald Trump and Steven Miller are chewing the rug over this.

If you didn't want to know about it, you shouldn't have brought it up. The implosion of the fraudit was the story then.

It's coming back, BTW.

Cyber Ninjas 'audit': Maricopa County puts Arizona Senate on notice, seeks $2.8 million to replace 'compromised' election equipment
The review itself has already cost taxpayers $150,000 - supplemented by millions of dollars in private donations.

In May, Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, a Democrat, instructed Maricopa County to stop using any machines that had been handled by Cyber Ninjas. She said elections officials could no longer guarantee the machines had not been tampered with.

The federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency echoed that advice. "If it is determined that the chain of custody of critical systems have been compromised, the safest practice is to decommission and replace those systems," a spokesperson said in a statement.
Cyber Ninjas 'audit': Maricopa County puts Arizona Senate on notice, seeks $2.8 million to replace 'compromised' election equipment

Arizona’s Maricopa County Board of Supervisors in a letter sent Monday slammed both the State Senate Republican President and the company she chose to perform a highly-controversial recount of the 2020 presidential election ballots.

That recount, which has been going on for nearly four weeks, has been plagued by regular reports of irregular and suspicious actions and, as the Board of Supervisors said today, “ineptitude.”

Already the U.S. Dept. of Justice has notified the company performing the recount, Cyber Ninjas, that it is watching their actions and warning them their actions may violate the law.

The Maricopa Board of Supervisors – which is made up of four Republicans and just one Democrat – Monday did not hold back, blasting Senate President Karen Fann, accusing her of lying, among o

Fann, in a false accusation picked up and repeated by Donald Trump over the weekend, claimed Maricopa County deleted an entire database. The accusation was made either out of ignorance or political vengeance, or both, but the damage has been done.

The County responded today, calling the accusations “false, defamatory, and beneath the dignity of the Senate.”

I don't believe the US will send troops to guard convoys in order to bring American citizens to the airport in Kabul. We may try to rescue a "special case" but that's it. The Government, and the military generally think US Citizens who set up house keeping in war zones are "stupid".

What we may do to make a suggestion, is incinerate a few of their check points, hopping this gets the message across that we want open access to the airport, but I doubt it.

If stranded Americans can make it to the Kabul Airport before the last plane takes off they may get lucky, if not...they are on their own, and should try to reach the resistance, or perhaps cross the border into Tajikistan.

I wouldn't make to much of the Anglos French effort to "rescue" it's citizens. It would be more likely than not, that their respective governments paid the Taliban a hefty fee to put this show on...half now...half when done.

It's a bad situation to be in

It was reported that French and British special forces were on the ground in an attempt to rescue their own citizens. Biden has refused to put special forces on the ground to get Americans out. He said that the Taliban were letting Americans get through to the airport by simply showing their passports. How many lies does Biden have to tell, how many have to lose their lives before Democrats will act to throw him out of office?

How many lies does Biden have to tell, how many have to lose their lives before Democrats will act to throw him out of office?

A State Department official on Wednesday said Americans in Kabul appear to have no problem reaching Hamid Karzai International Airport for evacuation, despite the Pentagon announcing that the military will not rescue those who don’t make it past the Taliban.

Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman said that so far the Taliban appears to be keeping its promise to allow American citizens through the tight cordon it has in place around the airport.

“The Taliban made a commitment to safe passage for American citizens. I don’t know of — my colleagues may know of — an incident where an American got harassed or hustled or wasn’t able to get to the airport. I haven’t heard of that yet,” Ms. Sherman told reporters at the State Department

State Department: Taliban ‘appears’ to let Americans reach Kabul airport

Someone is lying, but apparently, it isn't Biden. Why wouldn't the Taliban expedite the removal of Americans from Afghanistan? Think about how they see it. It's what they wanted; to delay or abuse Americans trying to leave would do them no good and might very well invite retaliation from US forces.

When we're little, we think that bad guys are bad on principle and just do bad stuff. When we grow up, most of us realize that almost all bad guys just do whatever they think is in their own best interests and aren't out to do bad things just to do bad things.

Not all of get there, of course.

There are terrorists who have broken their agreement. The Biden administration has told lie after lie, Joe was caught in a number of whoppers just the other day. You need to start paying attention to the reporters and the people on the ground in Afghanistan who have been beaten and terrrorized.

Sure. But the point remains. It's in the Taliban's best interests to facilitate the departure of American citizens. That being so, it's unlikely that they will change the present practice of giving American citizens uncontrolled access to the airport.

Politicians lie?

He just lies a lot less than Trump does, so people don't notice as much. More to the point, Biden correctly noted that the Taliban is still allowing Americans to leave as they wish.

Just pointing out that so far, the Taliban commanders have continued to let Americans freely enter the airport.

Joe also lied when he claimed there were no Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

Show us that. Oh, that's right, you never support any of your claims. Sorry.

Well, let's take a look...
Biden said at the White House on Friday: "Look, let's put this thing in perspective. What interest do we have in Afghanistan at this point, with al Qaeda gone? We went to Afghanistan for the express purpose of getting rid of al Qaeda in Afghanistan as well as -- as well as -- getting Osama bin Laden. And we did."
Facts First: Biden's claim that al Qaeda is "gone" from Afghanistan is false -- as his own administration acknowledged soon afterward. Following Biden's remarks, Pentagon press secretary John Kirby told reporters, "We know that al Qaeda is a presence, as well as ISIS, in Afghanistan, and we've talked about that for quite some time."

Biden has correctly said in previous prepared remarks, including a speech on Monday, that al Qaeda has been "degraded" in Afghanistan; the terror group is widely viewed as having been substantially weakened by the 20-year US-led war.
Fact check: Biden claims al Qaeda is 'gone' from Afghanistan. Then the Pentagon confirms it's still there - CNNPolitics

They are a fragment of what they were, but they still are hiding out. The Taliban leaders blamed Al-Qaeda for the U.S. intervention in Afghanistan, currently are saying they will not allow them to take part in governing Afghanistan. That could change.

BTW, the Taliban reports that they arrested 4 ISIS agents at the airport. Apparently, they were casing the airport for vulnerabilities to an attack, something the Taliban leadership would not want to happen.
Afghanistan: This would be embarrassing for both the US and Taliban, retired Lt. Gen. says - CNN Video

They are on very bad terms with ISIS.

I remember reading an article that the Taliban had been in several engagements with the Islamic State over the past year or so. My impression is that the Taliban doesn't want to share power with anyone.

Now I heard Biden say that Al Qaeda was gone from Afghanistan myself, but if you are so far left that you think the New York Times would make up something negative against Biden I can't really help you:
  • Fact Check

The president made misleading or false claims about the reaction of allies to the withdrawal, the presence of Al Qaeda and conditions for Americans traveling to the Kabul airport.
