Secular humanism knows no love but for self and worldly things...

thanks for this thread... the phrase from St Francis' prayer - 'Grant that I may seek to love rather than to be loved' - has always seemed a wonderful summation of the spiritual path in just a few words.... (although Im aware that it wasn't actually composed by St Francis)...
