The USA has been the most benevolent of nations that have ruled the world in all time. I attribute this to democracy and Christianity.
This is in fulfilment of prophesy..."
Rev 13:11
And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

We know that this new player on the scene, being a beast, must be a world power as the beasts before it. The lamb like qualities mentioned were due to the Christian principles this new power was governed by. The contrast also of this beast coming up "out of the earth" is significant as the previous beast in chapter 13 was comprised of the for beasts in Daniel and the Bible says that they came up out of the sea. Scripture clearly shows that the sea is "nations, multitudes, people and tongues", in other words a populated place. The earth that the lamb like beast arose out of was the opposite, it was a place with not many people, a relatively empty place. The two horns of the lamb like beast denote it's type of governance. The previous beasts had crowns on their horns which is a symbol of monarchy. The US was a nation without a king and therefore had no crown. It was established instead upon Republicanism and Protestantism and these two principles are the two horns.

I also wanted to add to the discussion that the image in Daniel was only 4 kingdoms... this is not accurate as it also mentions the feet and toes of mixed mirey clay and iron. The iron was the pagan Roman empire and the clay was an ecclesiastical power. We see this concept of God referring to Israel as clay:

Jeremiah 18:6
O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the Lord. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel

So the fourth beast, pagan Rome would become a mixture of a ecclesiastical body and a secular. This was the Roman church that came out of pagan Rome. The ten toes are the ten tribes the Roman empire broke into, which was governed by the Church. Also, the account says that the feet were of miry (dirty) clay, this is in opposition to the pure clay God's people were fashioned from and fits the history of the harlot being the opposite of the pure woman.

What about having truth behind your convictions. Would Luther say that was work if one were to search out one's beliefs?

Ascribing salvific merit to anything we do would be antithetical to what Luther believed. Luther wasn't against works (far from it); what he was against was the idea that one could ascribe any human effort to our salvation. Not even the barest, smallest effort--not even merely uttering the word "yes" in one's heart. Salvation is totally, entirely, and thoroughly the good and gracious working of God, found solely in Jesus and what He has done.

The role of faith in justification isn't as a meritorious virtue one has by which one makes mental assent to certain beliefs and doctrines which God rewards; the role of faith in justification is that God gives us this faith which is nothing other than a bold trust in the mercy of God.

The indulgence sellers, the most notorious of which being Johan Tetzel.

If you think Luther wrote the 95 These against the Pope or the Catholic Church then you clearly haven't read them, they were written chiefly to invoke academic debate on the subject.

The opening paragraph of the 95 Theses:

"Amore et studio elucidande veritas hec subscripta disputabuntur Wittenberge, Presidente R.P. Martino Lutter, Artium et S. Theologie Magistro eiusdemque ibidem lectore Ordinario. Quare petit, ut qui non possunt verbis presentes nobiscum disceptare agant id literis absentes. In nomine domini nostri Hiesu Christi. Amen."

"Out of love for the truth and from desire to elucidate it, the Reverend Father Martin Luther, Master of Arts and Sacred Theology, and ordinary lecturer therein at Wittenberg, intends to defend the following statements and to dispute on them in that place. Therefore he asks that those who cannot be present and dispute with him orally shall do so in their absence by letter. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen."

Luther also wrote a letter to Albrecht, Archbishop of Mainz imploring him to address this problem.

So your church teaches that the only righteousness we have is the imputed alien righteousness of Jesus Christ which is received apart from ourselves, by God's grace, through the external means of God's grace in His Word

Here's some writings by our pioneers on the subject...

EJ Waggoner-Justification By Faith

Text.-“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Romans 5:1. JBF 1.1

No apology could be in place for writing or speaking on the subject of justification by faith. Lying at the very foundation of Christian experience-the substratum of the work of the gospel on the human heart-it can never be dwelt upon too much. And when all has been said that human tongues can say, or that human minds can conceive, the whole truth on this great theme will not have been told. JBF 1.2

Justice, as defined by Webster, is the quality of being just; rendering to every man his due; conformity to right and obligation. Righteousness has the same signification; for the quality of being right, is Tightness or righteousness. JBF 1.3

And these words have two applications; or, justification, or righteousness, is of two kinds. One, the righteousness which is by complete obedience. This is referred to by Paul in Romans 2:13, “The doors of the law shall be justified.” Unfortunately for man, as the apostle proceeds to prove, there are no doers of right, and “therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified.” Chap. 3:20. But this does not destroy the principle that complete obedience to the law would result in justification. The Scriptures say, “Fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.” No one would for a moment deny that if man had done his whole duty he would have stood justified before God; for there would have existed no ground for his condemnation. This would have been justification, by works, which it is now impossible for man to reach, as all have gone, and in our fallen condition, all do go astray. JBF 1.4

The other kind of justification, or righteousness, and that which is the subject of the apostle’s argument in this letter to the Romans, is “the treating of sinful man as though he were righteous;” vindicating or defending. This form of justification is, as is well stated by Hooker, “without us, which we have by imputation.” This, again, is identical with the righteousness of faith; that is, we are accounted righteous by reason of what some one does for us, and not by reason of our works or obedience. JBF 2.1

A question has been raised on Romans 4:5. “Does God justify the ungodly? And if so, is not Universalism true?” A little consideration of the subject of the argument is sufficient to solve this apparent difficulty. It is an argument based upon the fact that all have sinned; that all are ungodly. The subject is, justification by faith, not of works. This kind of justification is for the ungodly alone; the righteous would not need it. So Jesus said he came not to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance; the righteous would need no repentance. But the object or condition of this justification must not be lost sight of. It is not that the ungodly may remain ungodly, or be saved in their ungodliness, but that they may be saved from their sins, or be made the righteousness of God in Christ. Matthew 1:21; 2 Corinthians 5:21. JBF 2.2

Another question naturally arises on verse 7, regarding the distinction between righteousness and goodness. It has mostly been supposed to refer to some distinctions, somewhat fanciful, held by the Jews. But the distinction is real, and is often recognized. Dr. Clarke mentions four classes into which the Jews divided mankind. The just were those who render to every man his due; the good, those who are magnanimous or benevolent. Probably “the young man” who came to Christ, see Matthew 19:16-22, was a just man in this sense; certainly he was not good in the sense of being benevolent. Scott, on this text, says the just man is one of strict integrity; the good, one of extensive philanthropy; which amounts to the same thing. Chalmers says the righteous or just man is one who is simply in a state of innocence; the good, one who is engaged in benevolence. The same idea runs through all. JBF 3.1

Doubtless we have all seen illustrations of this distinction in actual life. We have seen men of integrity, just in the payment of every demand, even to a farthing. They would pay every cent and exact every cent. They would boast that they had never wronged any man, but rendered to every man his full due. As far as the calls of the needy and the suffering were concerned, it was enough for them to know that they had not caused any one to suffer, and they felt no responsibility in their behalf. Disinterested benevolence was a quality to which they were utter strangers. In one sense their characters were commendable; in another sense they were detestable. JBF 3.2

Or we may instance the judge who has the highest regard for justice; he will mete it to the evil-doer to the fullest extent of the law. To maintain the law and to defend the Government is the ruling motive of his life. But of mercy he knows nothing; the kindlier feelings of his nature have never been developed. On the bench, all are ready to commend his justice; in every-day life, no one calls him good. JBF 4.1

We have now brought to notice these two kinds of justification. One of one’s self, by obedience. This we should term justification in fact, or justification absolute. With this we have nothing to do in this examination; man has effectually and entirely forfeited it. The other, justification by faith; effected for the transgressor of law by one who does for him what he cannot do for himself. This is not absolute in the sense in which the other kind is, for it is a righteousness (1) by imputation, not by desert; (2) it is conditional. JBF 4.2

This brings us to notice a most important truth; to consider a most important relation. Justification by faith is not a final procedure; it looks to something beyond itself to be accomplished in the future. And it is an important factor in the accomplishment of that something. To demonstrate this we must notice another distinction, to wit; that justification is to be distinguished from salvation. Many seem to lose sight of this distinction, and thereby fall into grievous and very dangerous errors. JBF 4.3

“I am saved,” is a common expression with a certain class of professed Christians. While there is a sense in which it ought to be true, and we would charitably hope it is true in many cases, we confidently say it is not true in the sense intended by many who use it. It is frequently used by those who make it a shield from exhortations to further examination of the truth of God and of their own hope of eternal life. In such cases it is sadly abused. We may be saved from sin here. And the sufficiency of this salvation is based, very often, on the purity of our intentions; for no one is completely and perfectly saved from sin unless he is fully acquainted with the will of God, and completely and perfectly fulfills it. Every one must admit that we are absolutely saved from sin just as far as we have light on the truth of God’s word in regard to our duty, and follow it, and no farther. To say that we are absolutely and completely saved from sin because we have no consciousness of sin would be to deny the existence of sins of ignorance, of which the Scriptures so largely speak. See Leviticus 4, entire, and Numbers 15:22-29. Sins of ignorance are not so heinous in the sight of the Lord as sins of presumption; but they are sins, of which the Lord requires repentance and of which we need forgiveness. JBF 5.1

When once urging upon an intelligent lady, and we believe an honest one, the necessity of examining a question of duty, a truth of the Bible with which she was not acquainted, and enforcing the duty by the solemnity of the coming Judgment and the necessity of a thorough preparation for that day, she made but one answer, and persisted in it: “I am saved; I have given my case to Jesus and he has saved me.” We could awaken her from her delusion, for such we held it to be, only by asking her if she thought her probation was ended. This aroused her to a new train of thought and to a reconsideration of her position. JBF 6.1

Salvation is two-fold. 1. Salvation from sin. This is a progressive work of Christian life. Some mistake and think the work is finished because they feel that they love the way of truth, and have no desire or disposition to sin. But, as before noticed, they may sin ignorantly, and do things which are offensive to God because they are not fully instructed in the right. When these sins come to their knowledge they must repent; and if they refuse or neglect to repent of them, they stand as indorsing thorn, and then their relation is changed and they must be counted sins of presumption. And there is place for continuance of this work of increasing in knowledge and reforming in life until we become as perfect in knowledge as our circumstances will permit. This is growth in grace, without which the believer either remains a babe in the Christian life, or degenerates into a fixed state of formality; for no one has a complete knowledge of truth and duty when first he submits himself to God. It is incumbent upon him to grow up into it. JBF 6.2

2. There is a final salvation which is brought unto us at the appearing of Christ; of which, salvation from sin (or justification and growth in grace) is the necessary prerequisite. Of this salvation the Scriptures make very frequent mention. The Saviour said: “He that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved.” Matthew 24:13; the same in chap. 10:22, and Mark 13:13. This salvation comes after that which is called “the end.” Paul said to his brethren; “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.” Romans 13:11. Waiving all question as to “the time” to which he referred, we notice that this salvation did not come to them when they believed. It is a future salvation to the believer. JBF 7.1

And Peter speaks to those who were “begotten again unto a lively hope,” and who “are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.” 1 Peter 1:5. The time of the revelation of this salvation is so clearly brought to view in verses 9-13 that we copy them in full:- JBF 7.2

“Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you; Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow. Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things which “are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from Heaven; which things the angels desire to look into. Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.” JBF 7.3

Ellen White
As the penitent sinner, contrite before God, discerns Christ's atonement in his behalf, and accepts this atonement as his only hope in this life and the future life, his sins are pardoned. This is justification by faith. Every believing soul is to conform his will entirely to God's will, and keep in a state of repentance and contrition, exercising faith in the atoning merits of the Redeemer, and advancing from strength to strength, from glory to glory.

Pardon and justification are one and the same thing. Through faith, the believer passes from the position of a rebel, a child of sin and Satan, to the position of a loyal subject of Christ Jesus, not because of an inherent goodness, but because Christ receives him as His child by adoption. The sinner receives the forgiveness of his sins, because these sins are borne by his Substitute and Surety. The Lord speaks to His heavenly Father, saying: "This is My child. I reprieve him from the condemnation of death, giving him My life insurance policy--eternal life--because I have taken his place and have suffered for his sins. He is even My beloved son." Thus man, pardoned, and clothed with the beautiful garments of Christ's righteousness, stands faultless before God.
The sinner may err, but he is not cast off without mercy. His only hope, however, is repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the Father's prerogative to forgive our transgressions and sins, because Christ has taken upon Himself our guilt and reprieved us, imputing to us His own righteousness. His sacrifice satisfies fully the demands of justice.
Justification is the opposite of condemnation. God's boundless mercy is exercised toward those who are wholly undeserving. He forgives transgressions and sins for the sake of Jesus, who has become the propitiation for our sins. Through faith in Christ, the guilty transgressor is brought into favor with God and into the strong hope of life eternal.
David was pardoned of his transgression because he humbled his heart before God in repentance and contrition of soul, and believed that God's promise to forgive would be fulfilled. He confessed his sin, repented, and was reconverted. In the rapture of the assurance of forgiveness, he exclaimed, "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." The blessing comes because of pardon; pardon comes through faith that the sin, confessed and repented of, is borne by the great Sin-bearer. Thus from Christ cometh all our blessings. His death is an atoning sacrifice for our sins. He is the great Medium through whom we receive the mercy and favor of God. He, then, is indeed the Originator, the Author, as well as the Finisher, of our faith.--Manuscript 21, 1891, pp. 1-11. ("Christ our Righteousness," February 27, 1891.)

Ellen White-Signs Times.1892-July
It is the righteousness of Christ that makes the penitent sinner acceptable to God and works his justification. However sinful has been his life, if he believes in Jesus as his personal Saviour, he stands before God in the spotless robes of Christ's imputed righteousness.

The sinner so recently dead in trespasses and sins is quickened by faith in Christ. He sees by faith that Jesus is his Saviour, and alive forevermore, able to save unto the uttermost all that come unto God by him.
In the atonement made for him the believer sees such breadth, and length, and height, and depth of efficiency,--sees such completeness of salvation, purchased at such infinite cost, that his soul is filled with praise and thanksgiving. He sees as in a glass the glory of the Lord, and is changed into the same image as by the Spirit of the Lord. He sees the robe of Christ's righteousness, woven in the loom of heaven, wrought by his obedience, and imputed to the repenting soul through faith in his name. When the sinner has a view of the matchless charms of Jesus, sin no longer looks attractive to him; for he beholds the Chiefest among ten thousand, the One altogether lovely. He realizes by a personal experience the power of the gospel, whose vastness of design is equaled only by its preciousness of purpose.
We have a living Saviour. He is not in Joseph's new tomb; he is risen from the dead, and has ascended on high as a substitute and surety for every believing soul. "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." The sinner is justified through the merits of Jesus, and this is God's acknowledgment of the perfection of the ransom paid for man. That Christ was obedient even unto the death of the cross is a pledge of the repenting sinner's acceptance with the Father. Then shall we permit ourselves to have a vacillating experience of doubting and believing, believing and doubting? Jesus is the pledge of our acceptance with God. We stand in favor before God, not because of any merit in ourselves, but because of our faith in "the Lord our righteousness."
Jesus stands in the holy of holies, now to appear in the presence of God for us. There he ceases not to present his people moment by moment, complete in himself. But because we are thus represented before the Father, we are not to imagine that we are to presume upon his mercy, and become careless, indifferent, and self-indulgent. Christ is not the minister of sin. We are complete in him, accepted in the Beloved, only as we abide in him by faith.
Perfection through our own good works we can never attain. The soul who sees Jesus by faith, repudiates his own righteousness. He sees himself as incomplete, his repentance insufficient, his strongest faith but feebleness, his most costly sacrifice as meager, and he sinks in humility at the foot of the cross. But a voice speaks to him from the oracles of God's word. In amazement he hears the message, "Ye are complete in him". Now all is at rest in his soul. No longer must he strive to find some worthiness in himself, some meritorious deed by which to gain the favor of God.

Ellen White
Justification by Faith

What is justification by faith? It is the work of God in laying the glory of man in the dust, and doing for man that which it is not in his power to do for himself. When men see their own nothingness, they are prepared to be clothed with the righteousness of Christ.

As the penitent sinner, contrite before God, discerns Christ’s atonement in his behalf, and accepts this atonement as his only hope in this life and the future life, his sins are pardoned. This is justification by faith.

The grace of Christ is freely to justify the sinner without merit or claim on his part. Justification is a full, complete pardon of sin. The moment a sinner accepts Christ by faith, that moment he is pardoned. The righteousness of Christ is imputed to him, and he is no more to doubt God’s forgiving grace.

It is not God’s will that you should be distrustful, and torture your soul with the fear that God will not accept you because you are sinful and unworthy.

But, you say if I could only know that He is my Saviour! Well, what kind of evidence do you want? Do you want a special feeling or emotion to prove that Christ is yours? Is this more reliable than pure faith in God’s promises? . . .

There is not a friend in the world of whom you would require one-half the assurance that our heavenly Father has given you in His promises.

Those who accept Christ, and in their first confidence say, I am saved, are in danger of trusting to themselves. They lose sight of their own weakness and their constant need of divine strength. They are unprepared for Satan’s devices, and under temptation many, like Peter, fall into the very depths of sin. We are admonished, "Let him that thinketh he standeth, take heed lest he fall." 1 Corinthians 10:12. Our only safety is in constant distrust of self, and dependence on Christ.

In order that we may have the righteousness of Christ, we need daily to be transformed by the influence of the Spirit, to be a partaker of the divine nature. It is the work of the Holy Spirit to elevate the taste, to sanctify the heart, to ennoble the whole man.

In order for man to retain justification, there must be continual obedience, through active, living faith that works by love and purifies the soul.

It is by continual surrender of the will, by continual obedience, that the blessing of justification is retained.

You have precisely zero ability to adequately discuss matters relating to the Reformation because you have no understanding of what the Reformation was about. You think it was about a protest against Rome, about calling the pope in Rome the antichrist. It wasn't. The Reformation was about the preaching of the Gospel and the doctrine of justification by grace alone through faith on Christ's account alone--something your church denies and thus making your church antichrist no less than the papacy by the standard of the Evangelical Reformers.

Of course I understand that. The preaching of the Gospel and the justification by faith were fundamental to the reformation, recognising the Pope as anchichrist and excommunicating him was not a sideline but a fundamental part of the reformation and fulfillment of Revelation 11:2.

But Luther wasn't the first to recognise the pope as antichrist, before the reformation, the Hussites did and the Lollards as well as the Waldenses, who wrote a Treatise On Antichrist in about AD 1200.

Neither was Luther the first to excommunicate the pope. Revelation 10 covers the Reformation.

No there were only four, the iron and clay were part of the fourth kingdom. t

The same kingdom as the fourth beast in Daniel 7. The iron and clay were partly strong, the iron, and partly weak, the clay.

1. Finish the transgression

1. The Hebrew word used for transgression denotes revolt or rebellion. The Jewish people chose to reject God, many chose to stay in Babylon once they were freed. It also denotes their rejection of Jesus Christ. Jesus prophesied in Matthew 23:39 that the Jewish people would not see him again until they accepted him. 39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. So in order for Jesus to return, Israel has to repent of their rejection of God and Jesus, and Israel will open their hearts to the Messiah, as Paul, Isaiah and Zechariah (Zechariah 12:10) prophesied, among others.
  • Matthew 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
  • 30And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.
  • 31Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets.
  • 32Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers.
  • 33Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
They filled up the measure of their fathers when that had Jesus crucified, the completing the transgression. Therefore fulfilled.

2. Make and end of sins

2. This is fairly straightforward, daily sins can only end when the millennial reign starts, there will still be sins via the flesh until the 1000 year reign is over, but daily sins will not be something we take part in, sins of omission will still be around, but Satan is not there to tempt the peoples. So by the time this 70 week decree is over, Jesus will have returned to set up his kingdom, ushering in the millennial kingdom where there will be no daily sins. Since the tribulation week is the last week of the 70 weeks decree, that makes perfect sense, as soon as the tribulation period ends, or the "time of Jacob's trouble", then "daily sins will end".

  • Galatians 1:4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
  • Hebrews 1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
  • 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
  • 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
  • 1 John 3:5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
  • 1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
  • Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,
Fulfilled by the death of Christ.

3. To make reconciliation for iniquity

3. Israel has to be reconciled unto God before the 70 weeks have been fulfilled. There is no doubt that Jesus died for all of our sins, thus the atonement for sins has been made, but there is a conditional requirement for all of us to receive that atonement, we must accept Jesus as our Savior. When Israel accepts the Messiah Jesus, as their Messiah, then the atonement for sins will have been completed, and Israel will have been reconciled unto God, thereby ushering in the millennial kingdom.
  • 2 Corinthians 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
  • 2 Corinthians 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.
  • Colossians 1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled
By His death on the cross, he reconciled us to Himself. Therefore fulfilled.

4. This 70 week decree has to bring in everlasting righteousness, and we know this can not happen until Jesus sets up his Kingdom. This world has always had sin, and always will until Jesus is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. By the time Daniels prophecy ends, it must usher in everlasting righteousness. Satan will be freed for a moment, just long enough to test those who have never been tempted to reveal their true hearts, then we will live with Christ Jesus forever more.
4. Bring in everlasting righteousness
  • Romans 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
Fulfilled

5. To seal up vision and prophecy
6. Anoint the most Holy

5. Seal up vision and prophecy, the word used here denotes to close up, meaning that before this 70th week can come to an end, all prophecy must be fulfilled or closed up. This will only happen when Israel accepts Jesus as their Messiah and he lands on Mt. Zion to rule over this wicked world with a rod of iron.

6. The very last goal that this 70 week prophecy has to usher in is the anointing of the most holy. The bible says most holy, many try to add holy place, but whether it is the temple being anointed, or Jesus Christ as Lord of Lord and Kings of Kings as I suspect, we know this must happen before the 70 weeks decree is fulfilled. And Jesus must return and rule on earth.

5. To seal up vision and prophecy.
  • Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
Fulfilled

6. Anoint the most Holy

Of course this applies to Jesus, none can be more holy than Him.
  • Luke 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Fulfilled

All 6 conditions were fulfilled in scripture.

Living by faith and not by sight from the beginning is a mental assent, a yeilding of self that takes place within. Faith comes from hearing but not all that hear believe. Only those who believe receive. Without believing there is no eternal life, only condemnation. Galatians 3:2, Ephesians 1:13
the role of faith in justification is that God gives us this faith which is nothing other than a bold trust in the mercy of God.

Because we stand before Him rightly accepted thru Christ He becomes to us wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and redemption Philippians 3:9
Bold trust in His mercy in standing before Him justified, I agree.

They filled up the measure of their fathers when that had Jesus crucified, the completing the transgression. Therefore fulfilled.

No, to complete the TRANSGRESSION, they have to repent. The 70th Week can not come to pass until Israel repents. Its a pretty simple prophecy to be honest. Transgression = Sin against God. Israel has still not repented for sinning against God and WILL NOT until after the Rapture.

Fulfilled by the death of Christ.

Wrong, you guys just don't get it do you? Everything has to fit that which is wrong so everything gets twisted. This is simple stuff, especially when its being explained.

By His death on the cross, he reconciled us to Himself. Therefore fulfilled.

The Decree is not about Jesus, its ABOUT ISRAEL !! Good Grief. Israel has to repent, they do not repent until after the RAPTURE !! This is a decree against Israel, not US (Church)....Not Jesus Christ per se, its a Decree against Israel, this kind of stuff truly boggles my mind.

4. Bring in everlasting righteousness
  • Romans 9:30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith.
Fulfilled

Wrong.........Jesus dying on the Cross did not bring in everlasting righteousness, we still live in an UNRIGHTEOUS, EVIL, WICKED WORLD.

5. To seal up vision and prophecy.
  • Luke 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
Fulfilled

WRONG..........All prophecy has not been fulfilled. Lame there.

It took you that long to come up with that? You should just accept the fact that the 70th Week is for Israel's repentance. No matter what you do or say that is not changing brother. And Jesus is Anointed as King of Kings when he returns and rules in Jerusalem.

You really need to study more on this Decree, its not even Daniels judgment, its Jeremiahs Prophecy, as Daniel was praying and reading the book of Jeremiah, Gabriel came unto him and explained the Decree in full. WATCH !!

Daniel 9:1 In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;

2 In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

3 And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

Daniel 9:19 O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name. 20 And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the Lord my God for the holy mountain of my God;

21 Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

Its Jeremiah's Prophecy, Gabriel just explained it unto Daniel !! Its against Jerusalem and its Inhabitants (Jews/Israel). It has nothing to do with Jesus or the Church. Its about Israel/Jerusalem.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Daniel 9:23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city (Israel/Jerusalem/Jews), to finish the transgression (Stop the Rebellion against God !!), and to make an end of sins (Daily sins against God,not sins of the Flesh which we are born with but WILLFUL SINS AGAINST GOD ! ), and to make reconciliation for iniquity (Israel has to RECONCILE, Not Jesus !! See Zechariah 12:10 and 13:1), and to bring in everlasting righteousness (The 70th Week must bring in EVERLSTING Righteousness !! ), and to seal up the vision and prophecy (All Prophecy has to be FULFILLED by the end of the 70th Week ! ), and to anoint the most Holy (Jesus will REIGN as the King of Kings).

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he(Anti-Christ) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Study harder brother, pray, stop trying to make the scriptures fit your belief.

The role of faith in justification isn't as a meritorious virtue one has by which one makes mental assent to certain beliefs and doctrines which God rewards; the role of faith in justification is that God gives us this faith which is nothing other than a bold trust in the mercy of God.

Mental attestation is not sin when it is just yah or nay.

27 And he(Anti-Christ) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week

How on earth you get Anti Christ of of that chapter, when he is not mentioned, escapes me. Can only be because that is what you have been told it means and not bothered to check it for yourself.

The seventy weeks were to tell the Jews of the coming of the Messiah and His ministry 69 weeks to his coming as Prince Messiah which was fulfilled at his Baptism. The disciples recognised this and Jesus said the time was fulfilled.

Jesus was the one to confirm THE covenant.
  • Romans 15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
  • Galatians 3:17 And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.
However can Antichrist confirm The covenant? He is not Christ but a pseudo Christ.

Everyone but you and a few like you understands this is the Anti-Christ. Let me explain this in full, I thought everyone knew this so I skipped over it.

Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks {69 Weeks in total} the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks(This tells us there are THREE SEPARATE Prophecies 7x7, 7x62 AND A 7x1) shall Messiah be cut off (So Jesus is Sacrificed after the 62x7 prophecy), but not for himself (For our Sins): and the people(Romans) of the prince (Anti-Christ arises OUT OF THE FOURTH BEAST) that shall come(2000 YEARS LATER) shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he(Anti-Christ....LOOK ABOVE....SEE WHY HE IS THE Anti-Christ !!) shall confirm the covenant with many for one week {Jacobs Troubles is ONE WEEK or 7 Years} and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

So all you have yo do is to STUDY, is right there in front of you brother.

Why do you think there Prophecy had a 7x7, 62x7 ans 1x7? Because its THREE DIFFERENT PERIODS OF TIME !! The last week is that ONE WEEK. If you can't understand the KJV you need to switch to anther bible, some people just can't get the KJV, or can't understand the way they wrote.
