  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Moma, sorry about your cat. I also know from experience how the heart breaks when this happens, especially when the pet was yours for many years. However, I also know that eventually you move on and take in other pets, that give you as much love and attention. I hope you have fond memories.

I still get a lump in my throat when I look through photos of pets that have come and gone...

Even for those who aren't into all this extra stuff, receiving blessings or an item can make your day.

Even though I've never gotten into "items," somebody gave me a rose, and I was happy to receive it. Blessings are a lot easier, and since somebody gave me a whole bunch of them when I was a newbie, I've had fun spreading them around.

Like I said, don't know much about the "extras" around here. I didn't even get an avatar until recently.
