  1. Welcome to Christian Forums, a forum to discuss Christianity in a friendly surrounding.

Your voice is missing! You will need to register to be able to join in fellowship with Christians all over the world.

We hope to see you as a part of our community soon and God Bless!

  2. The forums in the Christian Congregations category are now open only to Christian members. Please review our current Faith Groups list for information on which faith groups are considered to be Christian faiths. Christian members please remember to read the Statement of Purpose threads for each forum within Christian Congregations before posting in the forum.
  3. Please note there is a new rule regarding the posting of videos. It reads, "Post a summary of the videos you post . An exception can be made for music videos.". Unless you are simply sharing music, please post a summary, or the gist, of the video you wish to share.
  4. There have been some changes in the Life Stages section involving the following forums: Roaring 20s, Terrific Thirties, Fabulous Forties, and Golden Eagles. They are changed to Gen Z, Millennials, Gen X, and Golden Eagles will have a slight change.
  5. CF Staff, Angels and Ambassadors; ask that you join us in praying for the world in this difficult time, asking our Holy Father to stop the spread of the virus, and for healing of all affected.
  6. We are no longer allowing posts or threads that deny the existence of Covid-19. Members have lost loved ones to this virus and are grieving. As a Christian site, we do not need to add to the pain of the loss by allowing posts that deny the existence of the virus that killed their loved one. Future post denying the Covid-19 existence, calling it a hoax, will be addressed via the warning system.
  7. There has been an addition to the announcement regarding unacceptable nick names. The phrase "Let's go Brandon" actually stands for a profanity and will be seen as a violation of the profanity rule in the future.

Hey. This is another new guy to the world of Chistian Forums. I can hardly spell, let alone type; a one or two finger guy. I have to have a friend get me on, off and around the Computer. But I’m OK at Bible stuff. I believe the books of DAN.& Rev. give a pretty clear picture of who, what, when and where this is just a practice run for me so without much detail, I would say look in to what the Protestant Fathers like Martin Luther and many others will agree with what I believe Dan.& Rev. spells out. Some say the anti-christ is King Abdullah of Jordan, one who seems to be innocuous and could bring world peace. Interesting guess!

Where does it say, in scripture; that he will bring world peace???

The only thing I can find is Daniel 8:25 >>> "and by peace he shall destroy many."

<i>Where does it say, in scripture; that he will bring world peace???

The only thing I can find is Daniel 8:25 >>> "and by peace he shall destroy many."</i>

Truthseeker, I should have said temporary world peace. Revelation 6:2 speaks of the White Horse which represents an unparalled time of world peace --- a false peace that is to be short-lived. This peace will be ushered in by a series of false messiahs, culminating with the Antichrist. (The Mac Arthur Study Bible, p. 2000)

<font color="ff6347"><b>Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, 'Tell us, when will these things be? And what <i>will</i> be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?' And Jesus answered and said to them: 'Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.</font></b>
    (Matt. 24:3,4)

Since Christ represents peace, He's warning us to beware of the deceivers in the End Times that will bring this temporary false peace, culminating with the Antichrist. Some identify the horse with Antichrist. The main thought here is that the whole world will follow the antichrist into a false belief of peace.

Hi Miz >>> Thanks! I had to ask before I entered my opinion.

    Destroy many with peace >>>Osama

Be seen as a "Christ" >>>Osama

    Stouter than his fellows>>>Osama

Looks like a lamb; speaks like a dragon>>> Osama

    Little Horn >>> Taliban

Does not worship the God of his fathers >>> Abraham was his father through Ishmael

Comes out of the Roman Empire >>> The religion of Islam was birthed by the Roman Catholic Church. They wrote the Koran and they raised and taught Mohammed from a small boy.

Is he a religious leader? Oh Yeah!

I think as we are looking for a handsome political/religious leader to enter the seen; the thief has broken in the back door! :)

    Oh, that's funny!&nbspLOL!

    Hi there, Truthseeker:

Some of your statements do fit that Osama guy. He not only looks innocuous but is a slippery fellow at that. As evil as he is, you'd think he was the Antichrist!

There are so many names being bantied around the net as to who is the Antichrist that it could make your head spin. All have some modicum of truth to each claim that it makes for an interesting read.

The End Times can be quite a complex topic so I'm glad I was able help in a small way. Good question and topic!

Hi Miz >>> Ezekiel 28 says he is "wiser than Danial"

He's the son of destruction and AGAINST Christ!!!

I think that the Deceiver has been far ahead of us; having us look for someone else.

He totally fits the Word. Daniel's book was to speak at the time of the end. We are there. We must go back and read...read...read!!! There is new revelation in the word. We must look again; without pre-conceived ideas; but open for the truth. :)

An evil Generation seeks a sign. Don't try to prove what I said wrong for it states that in the Holy Scripture.

The Holy Scritpure says by no means will you pray to Angels nor ask an Angel what is right or wrong.

And if anyone want to prove me wrong look it up in the Holy Scripture.

Please do not accuse any religion without strong proof. It is not proper.

Please provide the evidence that the Roman Catholic church birthed Islam and wrote the Koran.

OK~ Someone said the anitichrist came out of Romania...I forget who...anyway, this theory is entwined in the Left Behind series by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins....They also explain in their book, "Are We Living in the End Times?" why they chose for Nicolae Carpathia to be from Romania.

Daniel 9:26-27 say "And after sixty-two weeks the Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself, and the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary..."

This passage tells us that the antichrist will be from the race of people who destroy the city and tear down the temple, which happened in 70 AD by the Romans. This theory states that the antichrist will come from a Roman country (or Eastern Mediterranean). They chose Romania as Nicolae Carpathia's home country because Romania retains much of its Roman heritage. He could, then, come from any Eastern European nation.

Also LOL @ truthseeker...Osama bin Laden, handsome ROTFLOL THAT is FUNNY ;)

It upsets me when people defend "religion" as if it were sacred. Religion is an enemy. Holding up man's traditions as if they were from God and defending "political correctness" and "tolerance" for "all" religions is idolatry. Praying to anyone but God Himself is idolatry. Worshiping anything or anyone other than The Creator is idolatry. It is not proper to take ANY focus off of Jesus, whether Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran or _________ (by the way, why would anyone fight so mightily for any name above Jesus? Denomination = Division!)

"Thou shalt have no other Gods before me"
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image"
"They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men"

Go back and lookup the history of the "Roman Catholic Church" - See where it all started.
(pardon my anger - I'm not perfect either)

"I am NOT OK...You are NOT OK"

...Let GOD be true and every man a liar...

Don't play with words. I am simply using the term religion to describe the different beliefs. Protestant, Catholic, Islam, are all considered religions. As for a true religion see James 1:27.

I am not here to defend the Roman Catholicism or Islam. But I believe that any criticism should be backed up with factual proof otherwise this forum will become a rabble house. As Christians we should be careful over the sort of things we say about other religions, faiths or belief systems. Because if we make improper insensitive and even false accusations, will that not bring disrepute to the name of Christ and add additional barriers to the gospel? As the Apostle Paul said:

"... Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks youti give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior may be ashamed of their slander. It is better, if it is God's will, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil." 1 Peter 3:15-17

If you think that the Roman Catholic church "birthed" Islam and "wrote the Koran", look into the history of the Roman Catholic church from reputable sources. You can accuse the RC of a good many horrors - the Inquisition, the selling of indulgences etc.., but writing the Koran is definately not one of them.

Muhamad made the Koran by using parts of the Jewish Torah (or the first five books of the Old Testament). The other parts, he received during a trance.

Sorry Yauming >>> Maybe I should have said, " I read an article lately that convinced me that..."

There is already much rambling going on in most of these threads.

I think your being too hard on me; and there seems to be many "darts" flying around and my shield of faith needs a break. :(

What you said is true. I didn't mean to come across toward YOU the way I did. I guess I'm just a little worked up over the worship of religion. I apologize if I seemed arrogant or unkind.

By the way, I don't believe RC birthed Islam, but I've listened to commentaries on the establishment of RC. Whether it's accurate or not, I don't believe the religion of RC is biblical. Do I believe a Catholic can be saved, yes. It doesn't depend on your religion, but your relationship with Christ based on who HE is. I am just unsympathetic to the institution.

As far as us Christians being decieved about the false Christs.
    Matt 24:29-30
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

    Matt 24:27
27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
    The word coming is
    3952 parousia (par-oo-see'-ah);

from the present participle of 3918; a being near, i.e. advent (often, return; specifically, of Christ to punish Jerusalem, or finally the wicked); (by implication) physically, aspect:

    KJV-- coming, presence.

In the context it is such a powerful event we can not mistake it. I mention the greek "parousia" because the JW's believe he has already came back in the 1920's I think. They believe he has come back invisibley. Mat. 24:27 refutes this.

    Just thought it was interesting.

OK, alright then. Everyone needs to think a little bit more carefully before they post a message.

As for the Roman Catholic church, I do believe that some of their practises stem a misinterpretation of scripture. For example, the power of the Papacy and Priest (see Matthew 16:18 and John 20:23).

Moreover, the Catholic church's good works among the poor in 3rd world nations (i.e. Latin America) has put many Protestant churches to shame. No one can say a bad word of Catholics in the slums where their clergy work to help the poor.

And how do we win Catholics back from this error? Accusing them of falsehoods and giving them a WWF (World Wrestling Federation :) ) attitude will hardly convince them - it will more likely harden their hearts.
