Yes. Is faithing a word?

Just joking. It actually is, but it surely isn't heard very much. ;)

No you correct!

Faithing isn't a real word in the English language, but it should have been or should be.

Faithe, faithing, and faither should have been words available to the translators to communicate what the original writers were saying concerning how to connect with God.

those words were not available to the translators because the English language doesn't have a coresponding verb to the noun Faith like the Greek does. So the translators chose the words believe, believer, and believing, not knowing they were creating a path that can't connect with God.

No , it's not a game and I don't share these things for fun.

i apologize, i realized that after i read the OP.

But it can be fun and a good way for stimulating "faith" words and associations.

I'm sorry if you thought maybe i was directing humor at you.

That was not my intent.

The A,B,C's of Faith are " Action , Based upon a belief , sustained by Confidence."

This is a learning tool that attempts to show what the true meaning of Faith and faithing are.

Any thoughts or questions ?

Our English word " Faith ", a noun, comes from the Greek word Pistis . Pistis or Faith is a person ,place, or thing.

The Greek has a coresponding verb to that noun Pistis, " pisteuo ". The English language doesn't have a coresponding verb to the noun " Faith " , like the Greek does " pistis ."

The most important word in the Scriptures , and it couldn't be translated into the English language.

The secondary words the translators chose to translate pisteuo, " believe , believer, and believing " are not coresponding verbs to the noun " Faith " , but the noun " belief ".

Pisteuo is specifically an act, based upon a belief, sustained by confidence.

Everytime we fulfill an act, based upon a belief , sustained by confidence, throughout each day is an act of " pisteuo " .
We fulfill hundreds and hundreds of acts of pisteuo each and every day. Most have nothing to do with faithing towards God.

Each act of pisteuo is a specific act, based upon a specific belief, sustained by a specific kind of confidence.

Such is the specific act of Faith the NT writers communicate to us is fulfilled to connect with the living God.

The specific act is the continual daily surrendered life.

The specific belief is that God will accept the surrendered life.

The specific kind of confidence is that God has not only accepted the surrendered life. But it is taking care of it, guiding it, doing what He wills for the surrendered life.

So with the word the writers used understood ( pisteuo ) how is this faithing or pisteuo fulfilled?

First, it's important to note, as per Rom. 8:9, we don't have the Spirit of Christ yet at the beginning of the process. So because the Spirit of Christ is not ours yet, Christ, His word, and the promises in His word are not ours yet either. Big stumbling block claiming these things before the Spirit of Christ is truly sealed in the faither towards the end of the journey, not the beginning!

So here we are! The first thing that must happen is we must be drawn or called to Christ " by the Father ".

We then by sencing the call answer by a mental turning from our way to His way. We then fulfill our first act of pisteuo or faithing inirelation to God by offering our lives to Christ with a genuine surrendered life and living a life inspired by such surrender. Not a perfect surrendered life, a genuine one supported by daily decisions that support such surrendered life.

So here at the very beginning of the Salvation process, we have been called out by the Father we turn ( repentance ) and take the first step of Faith or faithing,( pisteuo) towards God. That first step or starting the continually surrendered life needs to be accepted by God or not . If the offered surrendered life is genuine, Christ moves us forward in the process . If Christ doesn't deem the surrendered life to be genuine , we stay at the beginning of the Salvation process. As long as the Father continues to call the one not accepted to Christ , another attempt at a genuine surrendered life is possible .

At this point in the Salvation process, the state of being is as follows for the genuine surrendered life.

1) no Spirit of Christ yet. So Christ, His word, and His promises are not ours yet. Rom. 8:9
2) no prayer or worthship is acceptable by God at this point.

The Salvation process can happen in alot of different ways and in different time frames. And using terms like steps or phases is just the best verbage I can think of to describe it. There are many things that must happen in the Salvation journey, and they must happen in the correct order.

One of those things and what the next step is, " the parable of the sower ".

We've been called out by the Father, we turn, and answer the call by taking our first step of pisteuo or faithing towards Christ . Christ then makes a decision if our surrendered life is genuine or not. If it is , He moves us into the " parable of the sower phase."

The parable of the sower phase of the Salvation process is a testing or proving ground. It's here we receive something from Him, ( a seed ) that either increases our faithing or surrendered life, or it doesn't. 3 out of the 4 soils will fail for the reasons given in Scripture. The one soil will increase in Faith and faithing after going " through " this phase of the process.

Important to note.
I realize that todays understanding of the Salvation journey or process is it's "NOT" a process . We " believe" then emediatly recieve the Spirit of Christ at the very start and we are OSAS.

Well I submit, the salvation process needs to go through the parable of the sower . And if the believe and recieve understanding is correct ( which it's not ) those 3 of the 4 soils that fail, they would be failing " WITH " the Spirit of Christ already sealed into them. Well I think we can agree, that's not a possibility!

The state of being for the one good soil?

1) Still hasn't received the Spirit of Christ yet, .

2) So Christ, His word, and the promises in His word are not ours to claim yet.

3) no prayer or worthship acceptable by God yet.

For that one good soil the next phase of the journey is " the grafting process ".

Since the one good soils continually surrendered life has been tested and tried through the parable of the sower, it has become a sprig that is being prepared to be grafted onto the tree of life.

State of being for the sprig?

1) still no Spirit of Christ yet.

2) so Christ, His word, and the promises in His word are not ours to claim yet.

3) prayer and worthship not acceptable by God yet.

Throughout this entire Salvation process, the called out one is fulfilling pisteuo, faithing, continually. The ability to Faithe or fulfill pisteuo becomes more desirable as Christ is continuing to give us something throughout the journey.

It's also important to note, that just as in a worldly grafting of two different trees, it's the first few days of the graft that are the most important to be successful .

In this next phase or step, as the sprig is grafted onto Christ ( the tree of life ) the juices or nature of God begins to flow. This happens as the result of " an accepted continually surrendered life, by Christ."

When Christ accepts the surrendered life, He seals in that life His Spirit, making us " His", not ours anymore.

The state of being of the accepted surrendered life.

1) The Spirit of Christ is sealed into the called out one, the faither.
2) Christ, His word, and the promises in His word are now ours. Not ours to really claim, they just basically declared ours by having the Spirit of Christ in us now.
3 ) prayer and shipping worth to God is now acceptable by God. We have a covenant, a contract with Him now, the surrendered life or the life of Faith or pisteuo.
4) At this phase of the Salvation process, it is harder to get out of God's will than it is to stay in it.
5) this point in the Salvation process is " not " a final destination, it's here our pisteuo, our Faith life, our surrendered life is going to be continually perfected by Christ.
