The 7th Day Sabbath, is not Lunar-cy, being mow`edness, I tell you, mow`edness!!!

The Serious Hurdles.

[1] Feast of Weeks – Pentecost – Shavuot:

The Feast of Weeks:

“And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:” Leviticus 23:15

“Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.” Leviticus 23:16

“Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals: they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the LORD.” Leviticus 23:17

“And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the LORD, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the LORD.” Leviticus 23:18

“Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.” Leviticus 23:19

“And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the LORD, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the LORD for the priest.” Leviticus 3:20

“And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.” Leviticus 23:21

“And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the LORD your God.” Leviticus 23:22

These texts reveal that the Lunarian calendar can never be proclaimed Scriptural, nor functional while this feast is listed as it is in the Bible. Here's why:

The Scriptural calendar [simplified, averaging 30 days; see further textual evidence below for why the calendar looks like this, under point “The 3 Days & 3 Nights of Jesus:”]:

[19] [20] [21] [22] [23] [24] [25 “S”]

[26] [27] [28] [29] [30]

Schedule: [04] - Seventh Pentecost Sabbath, end of 49 Days from and including the 16th Day of the Month Nisan; [05] - Pentecost.

As Scripture teaches, in the Scriptural calendar, there is exactly 50 days for Pentecost, with 7 Sabbaths of their days [being 7 days per Scriptural week], being 49 consecutive days, with the 50th day being the very next day [thus consecutive with the 49 others] after the last, of the 7th Pentecost Sabbath.

The Lunarian calendar can never do that because of the 1st Day of their month, being set apart from the other 7 days in their first week and the 30th day adds additional time to their clock which is truly unaccountable, unless there is manipulation of their 'days', or of the Scripture itself, which is what some of the Lunarians do.

Some Lunarians actually do not begin counting the 50 days, until after the 7th Sabbath is over, and here is the text that is [mis]used:

“Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.” Leviticus 23:16

Then they will highlight these words from the text, “... the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days ...”, and say 'See, this proves the count beings “the morrow” “after” “the seventh sabbath”.' Yet, does it?

That is simply a great misunderstanding, or misdirection [but giving the benefit of the doubt for misunderstanding, or even oversight], please read the text again, and please notice the 'timing' in the first two words, being “Even unto” [Hebrew: “עַד”; Transliterated: “‛ad”, meaning "[1] as far as, even to, until, up to, while, as far as ...” [Strong's Concordance]] - https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/Lexicon/Lexicon.cfm?strongs=H5704&t=KJV ].

The words mean “Up unto the morrow after the seventh Sabbath, shall ye number 50 days.”, with the words “unto” delimiting the terminator, or end of the count, ending at the 50th day, thus ending at the “morrow after the seventh sabbath”, and not beginning “from” the 50th Day or “morrow after the seventh sabbath”. This is verified in the previous verse, by its beginning the 50 days count “from” [Hebrew: “מִ”; Transliterated: “mi”, meaning “From, out from, out of, etc” - https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/lexicon/lexicon.cfm?Strongs=H4480&t=KJV ] the very Wavesheaf Day, “...ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete ...”. For what would be the purpose of counting 7 sabbaths, which in itself is 49 days [7 x 7] and then “from” the “morrow after the seventh sabbath” begin counting 50 days? That would then total altogether, 99 days.

Pentecost [Greek: “πεντηκοστή”; Transliterated: “pentēkostē”] itself literally means “the 50th day” - https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang/Lexicon/Lexicon.cfm?strongs=G4005&t=KJV . Why would the Lunarian count 7 sabbaths [7x7] “from” the Wavesheaf Day, then begin counting from the very next day, which would be the 50th day, and then say to begin the count of 50 days “from” that day, being the Scriptural Pentecost day?

The Lunarian which says to count 50 days after the seventh sabbath [thus ending sometime in their 4th 'month'], has, indeed, left those words “Even unto” out of their theology, though they ever remain in the text itself, even a witness against such. This is one reason why not all Lunarians use this reckoning [for the others end their counting of the 50 days sometime in their third month], and yet again, since not all do, we see yet another disunity, and disharmony among Lunarians. Wasn't the whole reason for the Lunarians 'sabbaths' to bring unity? It is obviously not doing so.

Shall they not rather seek the True Seventh Day Sabbath of the LORD thy God, which the Seventh-day Adventists as a movement keep, and be in atonement with God and His remnant people?

The Serious Hurdles.

[2] The Pattern of Days, Weeks, Months and Years, based in Genesis 1-2:

The Lunarian Foundational First week, is actually 8 [24 hour] Days [with evening/mornings] long as we have seen:

[1] -------[2]-------[3]------[4]-------[5]-----[6]------[7]-----[8]
[NMD] [1 WD] [2 WD] [3 WD] [4 WD] [5 WD] [6 WD] [7 LS]

Whereas the LORD's Creation week, looks like this:

[01] [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 “S”] – God's Pattern Cycle; Genesis 1-2; etc.

This is important to understand as this is the foundation pattern that God set up for other Cycles of Time.

[1] The Week of God: Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:8-11; Deuteronomy 5:12-15; Exodus 31:13-18; etc, reveals:

[01] [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 “S”].

[2] The Land Work/Rest: Exodus 23:10-11; Leviticus 25:2-7, etc, reveals:

[01] [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 “S”].

In combination with this, there is also the Jubilee Years, of 7 Years of Sabbaths [7 x 7 years = 49 years], and one following Year [50th year; basically after the pattern of Pentecost, [Leviticus 23:15-22; 7 x7 days = 49 days; then + 1 day = 50 days]]; Leviticus 25:7-17. These could land on any day of the week! In fact Christ Jesus spoke of it in Luke 4:16-21.

[3] Slaves Work/Release: Exodus 21:2; Deuteronomy 15:12-18; Jeremiah 34:14, etc, reveals:

[01] [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 “S”].

[4] Moses Waited at the Base of Mount Sinai 6 Days, And Went Up the 7th, even as we too shall also: Exodus 24:16; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, etc, reveals:

[01] [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 “S”].

[5] King Joash was hid in the Temple 6 Years and Revealed the 7th Year: 2 Kings 1:3; 2 Chronicles 22:12, etc, reveals:

[01] [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 “S”].

[6] The Three Apostles - Peter, James and John, after Six Days went up to the Mount of Transfiguration with Jesus, and saw Him Glorified the 7th Day, along with the Glorified Elijah, and the Resurrected and Glorified Moses: Matthew 17:1-13 [“after six days”]; Mark 9:1-13 [“after six days”]; Luke 9:27-36 [Luke's account says “about an eight days”, which means not yet the eighth day, being the 7th Day]; Romans 5:14; 2 Peter 1:11-21; Jude 1:9, etc, reveals:

[01] [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 “S”].

[7] The 7,000 Year Plan, wherein the Days of Genesis, being consecutive literal 24 hour days each, are also understood by Peter, using Psalms 90:4, in 2 Peter 3:8, a day “with” the LORD is as a thousand years, and thus, 6,000 years on earth, and the 7th 1,000 year [“the day of the LORD”; Isaiah 24:22; Revelation 20:1-7, etc], millennium in Heaven:

[01] [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 “S”].

Now, with all of that, please attempt to try to utilize the Lunarian foundation of their 8 day first week as a pattern for any of those. It does not work.

There are yet other cycles of Seven in Scripture:

[A] Dealing with plagues: Leviticus 13:2-59, 14:1-57, etc;

The religious Festival Year was 7 Months Long; Leviticus 23:3-44 [with 7 Feasts: [1] Passover; [2] Unleavened Bread; [3] WaveSheaf/Firstfruits; [4] Pentecost; [5] Trumpets; [6] Day of Atonement;; [7] Tabernacles/Booths];

[C] Joshua surrounded Jericho 6 Days, and on the 7th, surrounded it 7 times; Joshua 6:1-27;

[D] It was the 7th time that Elijah Prayed that the Cloud came; 1 Kings 18:44;

[E] Daniel's 490 Year Prophecy is based in the 7 x 7 years of years of forgiveness; Daniel 9:24-27, which Jesus alludes to; Matthew 18:22;

[F] The 7 Church Periods of Revelation 1:1-3:22 [[1] Ephesus; [2] Smyrna; [3] Pergamos; [4] Thyatira; [5] Sardis; [6] Philadelphia; [7] Laodicea], etc.

[G] etc...

[3] The Lunarians Foundational First Week is actually 8 [24 hour] Days long, as seen again and again, and not 7.

It shall be asked, “How can the Lunarian 'sabbath', which clearly lands upon the 8th [24 hour] Day of their first 'week', in any one of their given 'months', be actually 'sabbath', since the Scriptural Word “Sabbath” [Hebrew: “שַׁבָּת”; Transliterated: “shabbath” or Hebrew: “שָׁבַת”; Transliterated: “shabath”], is actually grounded in the Hebrew word for the number 7 [7th; Hebrew: “שְׁבִיעִי”; Transliterated: “shĕbiy`iy”], and not 8 [Hebrew: “שְׁמֹנֶה”; Transliterated: “shĕmoneh”], as the Genesis 1-2 account reveals?

Blood Relation of father/patriarch Noah/Adam - Genesis 3:20; Acts 17:26; 1 Corinthians 15:22, etc,

Exodus 31:17 KJV - [17] It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

I hope that helps, seriously and in all the love of God.

The Glory of God is found in 2 Corinthians 4:4-6, in combination with the other texts previously cited.

The Moon [and thus all its phases therefrom] is clearly one small portion of the Total Creation of Genesis 1-2, that came in the 4th day of Creation as already demonstrated with the other texts previously cited.
Nice proof text. The word rested actually means cease as translated in Hosea 2. I am puled about the translation of refreshed which actually means take a breath. I do not see how it can mean anything like the word refreshed implies in English these days. God doe not get physically tired, hence can not become refreshed in our understanding.

Shall they not rather seek the True Seventh Day Sabbath of the LORD thy God, which the Seventh-day Adventists as a movement keep, and be in atonement with God and His remnant people?
I submit that all lunar months days are numbered like this

[xx] [xx] [xx] [xx] [xx] [xx] [NM “S”]

[021 [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 “S”]

[08] [09] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14 “S”]

[22] [23] [24] [25] [26] [27] [28 "S"]

[xx] [xx] [xx] [xx] [xx] [xx] [NMS]

[01] [02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07 "S"]....

They could also be numbered like this

[xx] [xx] [xx] [xx] [xx] [xx] [01 NMS]

[02] [03] [04] [05] [06] [07] [08 "S"]...

Else God told Israel to sin in marching around Jericho. The days between the 30th and the new moon are not counted. Yes I understand this is absurd to you.

They were to count 7 Sabbaths plus 1 day and not necessarily 50 days.

Shabbath is a noun and shabath is a verb.

I have no idea where you pulled this Lunarian Sabbath is on the 8th day from unless it is thin air. I have never heard it especially since I have been discussing the subject for the last 15 years.

To follow a Command of God is obey, it is to not sin, thus righeousness [right-doing].

Where, in the Sabbath Commandment of Exodus 20:8-11 is anyone told to "not march", etc? Marching is not "labour/work", it is ordered walking, even commanded by God.

The other 'response' is already answered in the material already provided. If you want to believe in a Lunarian teaching, you are free to do so, but it is actually idolatry.

Please read more carefully, for this was specifically addressed already - http://www.christianforums.com/t7853001-5/#post66699597 :

Leviticus 23:15-16 KJV - [15] And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: [16]Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the LORD.

Do you desire to rethink your statement in the light of those 2 texts?

The word "refreshed" as already indicated from Exodus [pointing to Genesis], is due to God ceasing to Speak Creation. For in the Beginning was the Word [even 'Jesus']. In other words He ceased speaking the Word of Creation at the end of the 6th Day, and from forming anything further with his hands.

No, God did not become tired. He did however Stop Creating, by His Word. Thus "rested", and was "refreshed".

Isaiah 40:28 KJV - Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.

He did however ceased from speaking, and saying, "Let there be...", thus pausing in 'breath' as you might say.

Genesis 1:1 KJV - In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 1:2 KJV - And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Genesis 1:6 KJV - And God said, Let ...

Genesis 1:7 KJV - And God made ...

Genesis 1:9 KJV - And God said, Let ...

Genesis 1:11 KJV - And God said, Let ...

Genesis 1:25 KJV - And God made ...

Genesis 1:26 KJV - And God said, Let ...

Genesis 1:27 KJV - So God created ...

Genesis 1:29 KJV - And God said, Behold ...

Psalms 8:3 KJV - When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

Psalms 33:6 KJV - By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.

Psalms 33:9 KJV - For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast.

Job 38:4-7 KJV - [4] Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. [5] Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? [6] Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; [7] When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

The Serious Hurdles.

[4] In a brief synopsis, The Mark of the Beast is found once the [First, Sea] Beast is Identified in Revelation 13 through the many Scriptural markers, in parallel with Daniel, Ezekiel, Jeremiah, etc.

Its Mark is that which it claims authority or power over.

Just as God's Seal is found in His Holy Law, Name - YHVH, Title - Maker/Creator, and Authority/Territory - Heavens, Earth, Sea and all that in them is, found in the Holy Law, found in the only Commandment where the word "Holy" is used expressly.

It claims power/authority over and "thinks to change" the “times and laws” [Daniel 7:25] of the Most High. Thus it is claiming higher authority than God.

Romans 6:16 KJV - [16] Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

John 14:15 KJV - [15] If ye love me, keep my commandments.

[Jesus never said, "If ye love me... love me...", in order to demonstrate love to God, we must Obey Him in His Commandments.]

Exodus 20:6 KJV - [6] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Exodus 15:26 KJV - [26] And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Deuteronomy 5:10 KJV - [10] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me and keep my commandments.

Deuteronomy 7:9 KJV - [9] Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;

Deuteronomy 11:1,13,22 - KJV [1] Therefore thou shalt love the LORD thy God, and keep his charge, and his statutes, and his judgments, and his commandments, alway. [13] And it shall come to pass, if ye shall hearken diligently unto my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, [22] For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him;

Deuteronomy 19:9 KJV - [9] If thou shalt keep all these commandments to do them, which I command thee this day, to love the LORD thy God, and to walk ever in his ways; then shalt thou add three cities more for thee, beside these three:

Deuteronomy 30:16 KJV - [16] In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

Joshua 22:5 KJV - [5] But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the LORD charged you, to love the LORD your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.

Nehemiah 1:5 KJV [5] And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments:

Psalms 119:115,127 KJV - [115] Depart from me, ye evildoers: for I will keep the commandments of my God. [127]Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Proverbs 3:1 KJV - [1] My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments:

Proverbs 4:4 KJV - [4] He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.

Proverbs 7:1,2 KJV [1] My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. [2] Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.

Ecclesiastes 12:13 KJV - [13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Daniel 9:4 KJV - [4] And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

Matthew 19:17 KJV [17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

John 14:21 KJV - [21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 15:10 KJV - [10] If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

1 John 3:22 KJV [22] And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 5:2 KJV - [2] By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

1 John 5:3 KJV - [3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

2 John 1:6 KJV - [6] And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

Revelation 12:17 KJV - [17] And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelation 14:12 KJV - [12] Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Revelation 22:14 KJV - [14] Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

In all of Scripture, all are told to never alter God's Commandments, neither adding, nor subtracting from those Ten Commandments, the very "word" of God, and those which sought to touch those Commandments, suffered from Plagues and finally Death.

We see in Revelation 13:16-17, 14:6-12, that the Mark of the Beast is related to breaking God's Ten Commandments [since the Seal of God is given to those which Keep God's Commandments, thus in opposition to the Mark of the Beast] and is therefore its claim/authority to alter God's Commandments, even specifically the that speaks of the Day of Rest, the 7th Day Sabbath [both a “time” and “law”] as found in Genesis 1-2; Exodus 20:8-11; Deuteronomy 5:12-15; etc, and thus placing itself above God, and thus giving humanity the choice between God or Satan/man.

The Sea Beast of Revelation 13, then has made known what it's Mark is, The power to alter God's Day of Rest [Revelation 14:6-7, which God calls the whole world to] from the 7th to the First [they also say 8th] Day of the week -Source Documentation

Therefore, the True Holy 7th Day Sabbath of the LORD thy God stands in eternal difference to any other of the 6 common days, and can never be on one of those days.

However, when the Lunarians do their calculations and line up their 'sabbaths' [8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th], there are always some that will land upon the commonly understood “first [day] of the week” [Sunday, as most of the world knows it].

Thus their [Lunarian] 'sabbath' and that of The First Beast's do coincide occasionally, even for a whole normal month.

Where then, can the distinction be found in that specific month, between The First Beast of Revelation's Mark and those Lunarians which claim to be distinct from such?

All such distinction vanishes...

The Serious Hurdles.

[5] There are several similarities with the 7th Day Sabbath and the New Moon, and the Lunarians 'trump' these similarities up, but rarely consider their differences. For instance, the similarities, wherein both are designated as a:

[A] “Feast” and/or “Appointed time”:

[1] The 7th Day Sabbath:

“Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, Concerning the feasts of the LORD, which ye shall proclaim to be holy convocations, even these are my feasts.” Leviticus 23:2

“Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the sabbath of rest, an holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings.” Leviticus 23:3

[2] New Moon:

“And David said unto Jonathan, Behold, to morrow is the new moon, and I should not fail to sit with the king at meat: but let me go, that I may hide myself in the field unto the third day at even.” 1 Samuel 20:5

“Then Jonathan said to David, To morrow is the new moon: and thou shalt be missed, because thy seat will be empty.” 1 Samuel 20:18

“So David hid himself in the field: and when the new moon was come, the king sat him down to eat meat.” 1 Samuel 20:24

“Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.” Psalms 81:3

Trumpets were blown on each:

[1] The 7th Day Sabbath:

“Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.” Numbers 10:10

“Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.” Psalms 150:3

[2] New Moon:

“Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.” Psalms 81:3

Yet, these similarities, are also connected to many other feast days [Leviticus 16, 23], and times [even the vision of Daniel refers to the “appointed time”; Daniel 8:19, 11:27,29,35, 12:7; see also Habakkuk 2:3], and events [Ambush Time for Samson: Judges 20:38 ; Samuel's set time: 1 Samuel 13:8 ; Pharaoh's time: Jeremiah 46:17; Birth: 2 Kings 4:16,17 ; Death: Job 30:23], not merely these two.

In Isaiah 1:14, it says, “Your new moons and your appointed feasts ...”, which further declares that not all “appointed times” were related to the “New Moons”.

Additionally, the “daily” Sacrifices were also called “appointed times” and happened both “evening” and “morning” or “continual” or “daily”, and they had nothing to do with the Moon, but dealt with the Sun. Also trumpets were sounded over certain sacrifices.

However, now let us consider the massive divide, for as much as they are similar in a few things, the greatest differences are that the New Moon Day of Scripture is never designated by God as a “Sabbath”, except for the one instance a year at the Feast of Trumpets, in the 7th Month alone:

“Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.” Leviticus 23:24

“Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.” Leviticus 23:25

Yet, even here it is not the same as the Seventh Day the Sabbath of the LORD thy God, since in Exodus it is written of the 7th Day:

“But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:” Exodus 20:10

Notice in Leviticus 23:25, speaking of the Feast of Trumpets 'sabbath', that it says “ Ye shall do no servile work therein ...”, but in Exodus 20:10, speaking of the 7th Day Sabbath of the LORD, that it says, “... in it thou shalt not do any work ...”

The 7th Day the Sabbath of the LORD thy God 'trumps' the New Moon day, for there is a difference between “not … any work” and “no servile work”.

Again, nowhere in all of Scripture regarding the New Moon, is it ever designated a “sabbath” except for that one single instance [being a feast day itself], please look for yourself [KJV]:

[5] [One of] the “Great Lights”: Genesis 1:16; Psalms 136:7.

[6] Lesser Light: Genesis 1:16.

[7] Light: Psalms 74:16.

Every time the words “Moon” and “Sabbath” are together in the Scripture, reveal that they are two separate and distinct things:

[1] “Moon” + [various] “Sabbath”:

“And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to day? it is neither new moon, nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.” 2 Kings 4:23

“And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.” Isaiah 66:23

“Thus saith the Lord GOD; The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working days; but on the sabbath it shall be opened, and in the day of the new moon it shall be opened.” Ezekiel 46:1

“Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances by deceit?” Amos 8:5

“Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:” Colossians 2:16

[2] “Moons” + [various] “Sabbaths”:

“And to offer all burnt sacrifices unto the LORD in the sabbaths, in the new moons, and on the set feasts, by number, according to the order commanded unto them, continually before the LORD:” 1 Chronicles 23:21

“Behold, I build an house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is an ordinance for ever to Israel.” 2 Chronicles 2:4

“Even after a certain rate every day, offering according to the commandment of Moses, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts, three times in the year, even in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles.” 2 Chronicles 8:13

“He appointed also the king's portion of his substance for the burnt offerings, to wit, for the morning and evening burnt offerings, and the burnt offerings for the sabbaths, and for the new moons, and for the set feasts, as it is written in the law of the LORD.” 2 Chronicles 31:3

“For the shewbread, and for the continual meat offering, and for the continual burnt offering, of the sabbaths, of the new moons, for the set feasts, and for the holy things, and for the sin offerings to make an atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the house of our God.” Nehemiah 10:33

“Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting.” Isaiah 1:13

“And it shall be the prince's part to give burnt offerings, and meat offerings, and drink offerings, in the feasts, and in the new moons, and in the sabbaths, in all solemnities of the house of Israel: he shall prepare the sin offering, and the meat offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings, to make reconciliation for the house of Israel.” Ezekiel 45:17

“Likewise the people of the land shall worship at the door of this gate before the LORD in the sabbaths and in the new moons.” Ezekiel 46:3

“I will also cause all her mirth to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her solemn feasts. “ Hosea 2:11

The 7th Day the Sabbath of the LORD also has differing offerings, when directly compared to the New Moon day:

[1] The 7th Day the Sabbath of the LORD offerings:

“And on the sabbath day two lambs of the first year without spot, and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, and the drink offering thereof:” Numbers 28:9

“This is the burnt offering of every sabbath, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.” Numbers 28:10

[2] The New Moon Day offerings:

“And in the beginnings of your months ye shall offer a burnt offering unto the LORD; two young bullocks, and one ram, seven lambs of the first year without spot;” Numbers 28:11

“And three tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one bullock; and two tenth deals of flour for a meat offering, mingled with oil, for one ram;” Numbers 28:12

“And a several tenth deal of flour mingled with oil for a meat offering unto one lamb; for a burnt offering of a sweet savour, a sacrifice made by fire unto the LORD.” Numbers 28:13

“And their drink offerings shall be half an hin of wine unto a bullock, and the third part of an hin unto a ram, and a fourth part of an hin unto a lamb: this is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year.” Numbers 28:14

“And one kid of the goats for a sin offering unto the LORD shall be offered, beside the continual burnt offering, and his drink offering.” Numbers 28:15

“And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field.” Exodus 16:25

“Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none.” Exodus 16:26

“And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none.” Exodus 16:27

“And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?” Exodus 16:28

“See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” Exodus 16:29

“So the people rested on the seventh day.” Exodus 16:30

“And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.” Exodus 16:31

“And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.” Exodus 16:32

“And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations.” Exodus 16:33

“As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.” Exodus 16:35

“And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan.” Exodus 16:36

“But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.” Numbers 11:6

“And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.” Numbers 21:5

“And the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of Israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.” Joshua 5:12

Therefore, according to God's planned days in His calendar for the Manna cycle, we see again the pattern [Manna = M, and MM for twice as much, and no M for none that day, Sabbath = S] based upon Genesis 1-2:

[01 M] [02 M] [03 M] [04 M] [05 M] [06 MM] [07 “S”] – God's Pattern Cycle; Genesis 1-2; etc.

Since the Lunarian first week begins with a 'non-work day', there would be no Manna given that day, since there is no provision in Scripture for God to do so, which would mean that there is in the Last week of the Lunarian month, times wherein there is not a 6 day falling of manna [Exodus 16:4, “gather a certain rate every day”, and how could the Lunarian “gather” that “certain rate” such in/on the New Moon Day, which is outside of their 6 days, for no matter how it is stretched, it is impossible, and the manna melted when the sun became hot in the day], but an interruption outside of their 'sabbath', and the manna could not be held over on any day except the 6th day, the MM day. Notice the issues with the Lunarian calendar:

Beginning of the Lunarian 'month':

[1]---------------------------[2]----[3]---[4]---[5]----[6]----[7]-------[8]
[No Manna, New Moon] [1 M] [2 M] [3 M] [4 M] [5 M] [6 MM] [7 “Ls”]

End of the Lunarian 'month and beginning of the next New Lunarian 'month':

[30 M] [No Manna, New Moon] [1 M] [2 M] [3 M] [4 M] [5 M] [6 MM] [7 Ls]

Remember, this did not just happen for a short period of time, but rather this pattern would have had to have lasted 40 years [Exodus 16:36; Joshua 5:12] in the desert/wilderness, all the supplies from Egypt long gone, as it is written in Numbers 21:5, “Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.”, and see also Exodus 14:11,12, 16:3.

The Serious Hurdles.

[7] One good final reason, is that Jesus never once sinned, and never transgressed the 7th Day the Sabbath of the LORD [His Father] God, and kept it Holy every week of His life, even including in His death.

We know from the Scriptural accounts and times, that the 14th of Aviv/Nisan in the Year AD 31, in which Christ Jesus died was on the 6th Day of the week, and the 15th being the dual Sabbaths [yearly seasonal feast and the 7th Day Sabbath of the LORD thy God of the Commandment], and was followed by the 16th, being the first [day] of the week again [see whole thread, and specifically this post] - http://www.christianforums.com/t7852971-7/#post66712317

We do not see, read, nor hear one word in Scripture, nor in any non-Scriptural accounts of Jesus ever correcting the 'mistake' from the Cycle 7, to Lunarian Cycles if it was supposed to have existed in His day. Neither does a single Apostle in all of the New Testament mention such a thing either, nor speak of a correcting either. This is important, because of what both Paul and Luke say, written years after Jesus ascended to Heaven to continue there:

Luke specifically says [in the Book of Luke and Acts] that he, “... having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first ...” also taking “... in hand to set forth in order ... those things which are surely believed among us ...” was writing to “... Theophilus ...” of “... all that Jesus began both to do and teach ...” so that he [Theophilus] “...mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed ...”

Paul, himself also, states that he, “... fully preached the Gospel of Christ...” being “... committed to ...” his “... trust ...” which was “... not after man ...” and that “... if any other Gospel ...”, being brought in by another [man or “... angel from heaven ...”], was preached, then they [who preached the 'not' gospel] were to “... be accursed ...”

Paul states, speaking of the Covenant that was made, “Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though [it be] but a man's covenant, yet [if it be] confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.” [Galatians 3:15].

Additionally, The Jews were scattered all over the world [Acts 15:21, etc], and the primary Jewish sources, like the Talmud [Babylon, Jerusalem], Mishna, Halaka, Haggadah, Josephus, Maimonides [aka 'Ram Bam'], R. Rashi & Commentators; Dead Sea Scrolls, etc. all say nothing of the practice that the Lunarians teach.

There are of course other reasons [Feasts are named "Sabbaths" and do not fall on New Moons [generally, one exception, and their days are random in those months, in other words, landing on various days of the 7 Cycle], also Spirit of Prophecy for Seventh-day Adventists, etc], but these I personally find to be Primary, again, at least in my own estimation. Should other reasons need be discussed they can, and should other 'examples' of Lunarian 'sabbaths' [which are no Sabbaths according to the Commandment] be brought forward, they may be examined individually, but know, that if those which offer up such novelty[ies], they must still deal with all these in order to truly vindicate their practice, Scripturally.

Shabbath is a noun and shabath is a verb. ...
Yes, since the "Shabbath" is the named "Day" [thus Noun] in which it was God Himself that "shabath[ed]" ["rested", thus verb] and was "refreshed" in/on the 7th Day [the "sheba", numeral].

And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. [Genesis 2:2]

ויכל אלהים ביום השׁביעי מלאכתו אשׁר עשׂה וישׁבת ביום השׁביעי מכל־מלאכתו אשׁר עשׂה׃ [Genesis 2:2 KJV; E-Sword]

And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. [Genesis 2:3]

ויברך אלהים את־יום השׁביעי ויקדשׁ אתו כי בו שׁבת מכל־מלאכתו אשׁר־ברא אלהים לעשׂות׃ [Genesis 2:3 KJV; E-Sword]

English: "seventh"; in Hebrew: "שְׁבִיעִי" also "שׁבעי שׁביעי" Transliterated as: "shĕbiy`iy" also "shebîy‛îy shebi‛îy" [Strong's Concordance; BlueLetterBible.com and E-Sword]

English: "day"; in Hebrew: "יוֹם" also "יום" Transliterated as: "yowm" also "yôm" [Strong's Concordance; BlueLetterBible.com and E-Sword]

The term "the seventh day" is mentioned specifically Three [3] Times in the Genesis Creation account [Genesis 2:2-3]. GOD "rested" on the 7th Day and "blessed" and "sanctified" it – things which none of the previous 6 days [Day 1 – Day 6] can claim to have done to/on them.

So, since the Genesis Creation account makes mention specifically of "the seventh day" in which "GOD...rested" is there then any Biblical evidence to directly equate "the seventh day" to "the Sabbath"? There is direct correlation between the two terms in Exodus 16:

Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, [which is] the sabbath, in it there shall be none. [Exodus 16:26]

שׁשׁת ימים תלקטהו וביום השׁביעי שׁבת לא יהיה־בו׃ [Genesis 16:26 KJV; E-Sword]

English: "sabbath"; in Hebrew: "שַׁבָּת" also "שׁבּת" Transliterated as: "shabbath" also "shabbâth" [from Hebrew root: "שָׁבַת" "shabath" meaning: "1. to cease, desist, rest; 2. to observe or keep the Sabbath"] [Strong's Concordance; BlueLetterBible.com and E-Sword]

With the Exodus 16 passage word definitions and roots [revealing that "the seventh day", "the Sabbath", and "rested" are directly connected] we can then go back and look again at the Genesis 2 passages and re-compare [and now see that the 7th Day of Creation is the very same 7th Day Sabbath of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY as given in The 4th Commandment of The Ten Commandments]:

The very same word "rest" is also found in Exodus 5:

And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now [are] many, and ye make them rest from their burdens. [Exodus 5:5]

ויאמר פרעה הן־רבים עתה עם הארץ והשׁבתם אתם מסבלתם׃ [Exodus 5:5 KJV; E-Sword]

We can then see the two words ["rested" and "the seventh day"] are also used directly together further in Exodus 16:

So the people rested on the seventh day. [Exodus 16:30]

וישׁבתו העם ביום השׁבעי׃ [Exodus 16:30 KJV; E-Sword]

This means that all three words "rested", "the seventh day" and "the Sabbath" are all related and interconnected in the scriptures [especially seen in Exodus 31:15]:

Six days thou shalt do thy work, and on the seventh day thou shalt rest: that thine ox and thine ass may rest, and the son of thy handmaid, and the stranger, may be refreshed. [Exodus 23:12]

Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it [is] a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that [ye] may know that I [am] the LORD that doth sanctify you. [Exodus 31:13]

Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it [is] holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth [any] work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. [Exodus 31:14]

Six days may work be done; but in the seventh [is] the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth [any] work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. [Exodus 31:15]

Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, [for] a perpetual covenant. [Exodus 31:16]

It [is] a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed. [Exodus 31:17]

And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, two tables of testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. [Exodus 31:18]

Now, let us move directly to the very Ten Commandments as given in Exodus 20:2-17 [more specifically the 4th Commandment and verse 11], wherein again, the words "rested", "the seventh day" and "the Sabbath" are intricately connected in the very same passage:

Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. [Exodus 20:8]

Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: [Exodus 20:9]

But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates: [Exodus 20:10]

For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. [Exodus 20:11]

It is within the very 4th Commandment of Exodus 20 that can be seen yet again the direct correlation with Genesis 2. Notice also, the specific words:

"Remember" [which directs our minds backwards to a place in time [Genesis 2:2-3] in which something had previously occurred; the reason of which is specifically spelled out for us in Exodus 20:11],

"keep" [which directs us to continually upkeep without ceasing that which GOD set forth from Creation],

"holy" [which speaks of the sacredness already inherent in it from Creation].

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif][9] The Q and A:[/FONT]

[FONT=Times New Roman, serif][A] Jericho, the 7 days surrounding the City, when is the Sabbath in a situation like that, and how can they [Israel, the peoples] keep Sabbath if they are marching around a city on any given day?[/FONT]

The Context, Joshua 4:13-24, 5:1-15, 6:1-27.

Ok. Now that we have some context, let us consider the details:
[1] Joshua is “magnified” before all Israel; Joshua 4:14.

[2] The day that the spotless Lamb was to be chosen, Exodus 12:3, “the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth [day] of the first month” Joshua 4:19.

[3] Joshua had the tribes set up the “twelve stones” in Gilgal; Joshua 4:20.

[4] Circumcision came first; Joshua 5:1-9.

[5] Passover was celebrated, the 14th of Aviv/Nisan; Joshua 5:10; of Leviticus 23:5.

[6] First Day of Unleavened Bread was celebrated, the 15th of Aviv/Nisan; Joshua 5:11; this would technically be a feastal yearly sabbath of Leviticus 23:6-8.

[7] WaveSheaf/Firstfruits, Bread Eaten, the 16th of Aviv/Nisan; Joshua 5:12; of Leviticus 23:10-14.

[8] The LORD - Jesus is seen and worshipped by Joshua, in Joshua 5:13-15.

[9] All the men of Jericho are sealed up in side of Jericho, and Jericho means “its moon” [Strong's Concordance; “יְרֵחוֹ”, “Yĕriychow”, from “יָרֵחַ”, “yareach”, “moon”, from “יֶרַח”, “yerach”, “month”]; Joshua 6:1-2.

[10] Jesus gives the instruction to “all [ye] men of war” to “go round about the city once.” and to do this for “six days”; “seven priests” were to “bear before the Ark seven trumpets of Rams' horns” and they were to on “the seventh day” “compass the city seven times”, with “the priests” “blow[ing] the trumpets”, and finally after the “long [blast] with the rams' horn” and the people heard “the sound of the trumpet”, that “all the people shout with a great shout” and the “wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up”; Joshua 6:3-5.

[11] The “priests” and “people”, in obeying the voice of the LORD, were to “compass the city”, even to have “compassed the city once, and returned into the camp: so they did six days”, by the commandment of God through Joshua; Joshua 5:6-14.

[12] So they did this six days, and “it came to pass on the seventh day, that they rose early about the dawning of the day, and compassed the city after the same manner seven times: only on that day they compassed the city seven times.” Joshua 6:15.

[13] On the 7th Day of “compassing” the city of Jericho [“its moon”, which the heathen nations worshipped, and followed] is taken, conquered by the Creator God, Jesus, the LORD of the 7th Day the Sabbath; Joshua 6:16-21.
It is obvious that one of the 7 days that the people were in “compassing” [surrounding by walking/marching] the city Jericho and “blow[ing] trumpets”, had to have been the 7th day Sabbath of the LORD thy God. Which one, the Scripture does not specifically say, though as a small speculation, more than likely not the last day, since upon that day there was war and slaughter. The question becomes, does “compassing” a city, by the “people” and “priests” and “blow[ing] trumpets” at the express Command [Voice] of the LORD, through Joshua, the type of Christ, violate the 4th Commandment? Let's take a look at it again:
Exodus 20:8 KJV - Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

Exodus 20:9 KJV - Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

Exodus 20:10 KJV - But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:

Exodus 20:11 KJV - For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
We find no prohibition in the 4th Commandment against “compassing” [walking/marching] around a city, by either “people” or “priests”, nor against “blow[ing] trumpets”.

In fact, in the Scripture, the LORD – Jesus commanded the things be done, and to obey the LORD is to not sin, but to do well upon the Sabbath. To not obey the LORD is to sin [1 John 3:4].

It is written:

Matthew 12:8 KJV - For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.

Mark 2:28 KJV - Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Luke 6:5 KJV - And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
Therefore, Jesus, being the giver of the Law, is Judge in its matters, and like in the days of Jesus, there are religious Pharisees and Sadducees today, that go around accusing even God's own people, of transgression, even in obeying God Himself, and even go so far as to accuse Joshua and those people of the past of sin, when Jesus said that the Priests obeying the voice of the LORD upon the Sabbath in their duty to God are “blameless” [Matthew 12:5] and “guiltless” [Matthew 12:7].
Exodus 5:2 KJV - And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

1 Samuel 15:22 KJV - And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.
God commanded them to surround the city, by walking/marching [which is ordered walking] for seven days, and to walk upon the 7th Day Sabbath [which ever day it was of the 7, more than likely not the last one, due to war/slaughter on it], or to blow trumpets, or to carry the Ark, etc is in no violation of the 4th Commandment.
Exodus 19:5 KJV - Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:

Exodus 23:21 KJV - Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

Exodus 23:22 KJV - But if thou shalt indeed obey his voice, and do all that I speak; then I will be an enemy unto thine enemies, and an adversary unto thine adversaries.

Deuteronomy 13:4 KJV - Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.

Deuteronomy 27:10 KJV - Thou shalt therefore obey the voice of the LORD thy God, and do his commandments and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

Deuteronomy 30:20 KJV - That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

Jeremiah 7:23 KJV - But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

Matthew 12:1 KJV - At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.

Mark 2:23 KJV - And it came to pass, that he went through the corn fields on the sabbath day; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of corn.

Luke 6:1 KJV - And it came to pass on the second sabbath after the first, that he went through the corn fields; and his disciples plucked the ears of corn, and did eat, rubbing them in their hands.

John 5:9 KJV - And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath.

Acts 1:2 KJV - Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day's journey.

Numbers 10:10 KJV - Also in the day of your gladness, and in your solemn days, and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; that they may be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.

Psalms 150:3 KJV - Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.

Matthew 12:12 KJV - How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
Thus we see that “trumpets” were indeed Commanded by God to be blown upon the Sabbath over the “burnt offerings” and people could indeed walk upon the Sabbath, carry things and do well, even as Jesus did in nature, and so too the Disciples. There is no transgression by Joshua, the type of Christ, nor of God's peoples/followers, but rather there is obedience of His voice unto victory.
