You are correct that DOGE, under the USDS, can legally access federal data. However, there are specific conditions attached to this. An employee from the USDS may have legal permission to access NSA data, but they must possess the necessary security clearance. Simply being a USDS employee with permission to access NSA data does not entitle them to freely enter an NSA data center and connect their laptop.

Though I cannot speak for others, I am a highly intelligent and experienced professional with 30 years of background in information technology. In my expert opinion, it is not feasible for any team to access all U.S. federal government data within four years.

I understand current republican party thinks every federal government employees are incompetent or part of the "swamp." In reality, many brilliant minds of our generation have chosen to work for the US government because they wish to serve their country. Throughout my 30-year career, I have had the privilege of meeting several of these exceptional individuals who have dedicated their lives to building highly secure information systems for the US government.
