A senate investigation launched Tuesday is targeting a well-known televangelist who recently moved to San Antonio. Paula White's one of several TV preachers accused of taking church money and spending it on their own lavish lifestyles. White and her ex-husband ran a TV church out of Florida.

Now, she's at the Family Praise Center on San Antonio's Northwest side, and she just bought a $680,000 home outside Boerne. That is one thing the senate committee wants to know about, along with White's own financial records and that of the TV church in Florida.

Wow. The corruption among our supposed "men and women of God" is absolutely ridiculous. This is one reason why I almost never watch televangelists on tv. Probably at least half of them are corrupt.

They're not "men and women of God". If you look at the list of people being investigated, every one of them teaches heresy and at least one of them (Paula White) has made her sin, as well as her refusal to repent, very public.

As OP here does mention all of 'em, this reply, with its links to related stories, is apt:-

Bishop Eddie Long defended his Georgia church Sunday in a sermon, calling the government's demands, "an attack on our religious freedom and privacy rights."

The Rev. Creflo Dollar justified his income and Rolls Royce by claiming his lifestyle does not come out of the church's bank account.
